Something is very different this time. I'm showing the increased block reward, but not getting any orphans, and no blocks either. This is solo mining, like usual. BTW, on the attack before this 1, my wallet was showing several times the orphans it usually gets during an attack. Either the attack is changing, or pools all going down is causing very low "legitimate" hashing power. I hope this doesn't kill the network. My main server down when I try to start regular attack)  |

Devs you better start getting your asses into gear. if a pool like bullmining shuts down other pools will start to follow and if that happens the coin is fucked!
I been saying this since late December that this will start to happen soon

I know it is uber fantastic idea, but what if you make the coin mineable only with... linux. It sounds a bit stupid even for me, but it can solve a problem - remove botnets. There are no linux botnets around. It seems a bit fantastic, but can make coin profitable.

POW mining on CPU algo is 100% unpromising for small miners. Botnets with ability to program any tasks they will solve not leave any chance to end users with CPU power to profit. Any part of such botnets available for rent on darknet.
POW part of MAGI protocol using to create new coins. It can't be removed, probably. My advice is to look on current most popular GPU algos and choise best for replacing current CPU algo.

So Vitalik, since you don't really care, and you are rich (made 400k+ on Magi alone), you might want to do a favor tho the other traders and let the price of Magi go up a bit on Bittrex and don't dump all your coins at 3.9-4k.
Let others jump in, let the price go up as it does for most of the other alts.
You can then still sell your coins at 4.5-5 or whatever.

I just discovered CPU mining at the beginning of March and that made me want to learn about coin mining in general, and then this stuff happens.

I don't think anyone has accused him of stealing coins directly from peoples wallets. But some do call him a thief. A thief takes property that belongs to someone else. He is not doing that. He has taken a flaw in the Magi client and basically used it to build himself a better miner. Maybe not 100% fair, but certainly not theft. I actually respect his effort. And I'll respect the developer's effort to patch the flaw.
That 23.5 is an average over 28 days, some days it's under 1, 1 day it was over 160! No tricks here, just solo mining at 1Mh. Software is XMGpoolminerWin64 (m-minerd.exe), hardware is 9 dumpster class servers with 2 6-core AMD Opteron 2431 CPUs (2.4 GHz) each. Total power is ~1.8KW.
I will not advice to solo mine exactly in current time, because chance to cacth BIG blocks in 2h period when they awailable is small. But minerclaim pool mine those blocks. Sometimes botnets release the net and those BIG blocks became awailable without me, howbeit. |

Calculation for 200Kh/s power in not a long time past For example, I picked random 5 days period in past without my activity (19.03 - 23.03)  We see avg day values in that period: Diff = 6,71 Total Net MH/s = 130 (calculated from diff, may mistake a little) Total POW mined XMG = 300 Those values give avg income per day = 0,46 XMG (300 / 130 * 0.2) 4 days = about 2 XMG Back to nowdays tazzz013, your mining result must be atleast 1XMG per day (because of my actions), all you need to do is stay on big pool, not jump between them (minerclaim for example) And the reason why current POW result of each miner must higher than past here: Graphic explanation of reason why all POW miners must jump in a frenzy and pray with love when see starting orphan block period:  If you not understand it, nothing will help to you) And about devaluation I am add 0.06% avg to moneysupply every day. It is not so much in fact that soon dev will fix it. |

I have made 2 xmg in 4 days. How much did you make.
All orphans are created by me, as I said before, forget about orphans. What is your hashrate? And pool? And how much XMG did you lose, you think? Hashrate is 200 KH/s Was on Suprnova until he shut the pool down. Been using different pools. i'm sure you could figure out how much since your attack started. Now my question, how much have you made? You've been helped by the attacks. Before attacks started I was getting 1-2 coins/day with 1Mh. Vitalik is not taking coins from anybody's wallet, he is just grabbing lots of coins for himself, and we are all getting a lot more coins as well. Over the last 4 weeks, Iv'e averaged 23.5 coins/day  Thank you very much, Vitalik_Pedik! And wait for 30-60 min, I will post a second big proof of it. |
