121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: the future of gpu mining on: June 11, 2018, 04:05:04 AM
This is very hard time for gpu mining. I'm rethinking about resale (sell Rx580, and keep P106-100 to mine) my GPUs, the fact is I already got ROI, the current profit is not that much, I even think next 2 months, GPU mining is not worth, just enough to compensate electric fees. The problem is it's not easy to find and to consider which asic-resistance coin is worth to mine. ZEC - difficulty flied yesterday, ETH - gpu may not mine in next few months (due to PoS or new asics miners), XMR - I'm still mining it, but not sure how long we could get profit. I'm quite skeptical about gpu mining.

123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help with cooling solution mining room on: June 09, 2018, 06:12:44 AM
The key point in making ventilation plan is: separate cool air (intake) and hot air (outtake), dont mix them. One of the best solution is using ducting which is not that difficult to make the routing plan because most of your miners are asics.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to understand the value of one new coin? on: June 09, 2018, 05:56:39 AM
My typical ways are doing quick researches about the team behind, do they have experiences and really actively update working progresses, coin's specifications, use cases, and how it could be competitive with other coins which have the same purposes. Also, I will take a look on its trading volume as well.

126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorite ICO at the moment? on: June 08, 2018, 10:07:02 AM
At the moment, I'm doing researches on Buddy and Vanig ICO. They both have strong team. They look really promising. Buddy even has working product and 7000+ developers from 120+ countries are using their platform, many use cases were already shown up. While I consider Vanig will be 2nd PundiX. Vanig is focusing on South East of Asia, one of the hottest developing area.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1080 on: June 08, 2018, 02:51:33 AM
Well as I see, not only Bitmain will release out Z9 mini very soon at the end of this month, Innosilicon is also going to sell A9 Zmaster 50ksol/s Equihash miner at just 620W. This is really the hard time for GPU mining. I havent sold my GPUs yet, but I'm stuck on considering which coin I should mine in coming months. I got ROI already, so seem like nothing to loose, but I think we may get no profit since next August, may be just enough to compensate the electric payment, my GPUs: RX580, and P106-100.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Isn't Hard disk mining ASIC safe ? on: June 08, 2018, 02:07:07 AM
I think there's nothing to do for Asic in proof-of-capacity world. Asic is all about hash/computing power.
As I remember, I check whitepaper or some articles about Burst and Storj, they said that Burst and Storj are true asic-resistance. By the way, even mining Burst coin is too hard this time, the block reward is halved but the difficulty is almost 3x after just few months.

130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1080 on: June 05, 2018, 12:56:15 AM
Hello!
I would like you to ask is it worth currently to buy GTX 1080 , i got an offer for 550Each (Used 24 months warrianty)
Why do i making this question?
Because as i read there will be new nVidia GPU's in 2018 April and wouldnt those be usles i mean They wouldnt be able to make an profit after eletricity costs?
Currently im paying 0,123USD per kWH.

What do you think guys abbout that?
Will they payback and give me some profit or not?

Hi mate, I could be sure your profit is not that much as your electric price is a way expensive at 0.123$/kwh. If you like to go with gpu mining, you should consider more on which coin will ROI earlier, if the ROI is about 13-15 months, so dont need to think much, just buy the coins which you like to mine. Bitmain is going to release more asic miners, that's hard for us, I'm mining with quite cheap electric - ~0.075-0.085$/kwh, the profit is almost reduced 40% than that of last 6 months.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU or ASICs? on: June 04, 2018, 08:48:27 AM
The asic miner should be good as it consumes less power than GPU. But I still support GPU mining as I started mining ETH/ZEC and keep mining it with my mini farm (RX580 + P106-100...). The thing I would not support asic mining is, just in my thought: Bitmain only releases asic miner out to market if they get in hand another asic miners which has 2X more powerful, let see what happen with XMR and XMO for your references. If I get no profit any more on mining ETH/ZEC, I would switch to mine another asic-resistance coin, I would not get in the races which are controlled by Bitmain.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who will win? on: June 04, 2018, 08:35:32 AM
I think it's still in the correction period. Volume is not that big, and it's too hard to guess when we should get in the market or cash out. Some of my friends and even me entered the market last month, they said this is the perfect time to buy more. But it's not, I cut lost with 30%. But if you already got some spare money which you would like to lose them, just go ahead and buy mate, no need to wait the correction more.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: life of a trader on: June 04, 2018, 08:29:43 AM
Trading is a hard job and big activity for your brains. My advice is to study some technical analysis and develop your strategy, and also you need to understand which risk are you able to cope with - without it you will be always in panic.

Totally agree with you mate. I'm miner and not good at trading. Trading is not that easy, I'm still on the way of learning, just to reduce the risk of losing money. For me, currently the best strategy is buy top big coins, such as BTC, ETH, XRP, XMR, ZEC....then hold them long. I only stick with these coins, I dont try to find where is the bottom, and when it gets peak. And if I got profit already, then no need to regret, it's not that simple to know the best time to cash out.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Stellar(XLM) replace Ripple(XRP) ?? on: June 04, 2018, 08:22:58 AM
Hey Everyone

As we know the crypto sphere, there are several coins in the market competing to conquer the same target; one of the reasons why most of the times we tend to confuse or relate a coin with another. In this matter, there are plenty of cases like this in the sector, but one that has mainly been sounding since so long is the case of Ripple (XRP) and the Stellar Lumens (XLM); two coins with great potential and under the gaze of many people in the industry.
For the one hand, we know very well that Ripple envisions to become a solution for the banking sector, and on the other, we understand Stellar was actually built to resolve the problems Ripple has shown.

Both Stellar and Ripple are good coins which aim to solve the real problems. Ripple has been adopted by many financial institutions and banks, so it's hard to say Stellar could replace it, even leave Ripple behind. But I like Stellar, it has a very clear road ahead, and the team are working hard on developments, partner with big companies as well. I hold them both for sure.

The bounty pool is quite big actually. By the way, I have checked the official website, seem no card design for Vietnamese right? Also, I wonder what's the exact meaning of bonus in bounty entries? Is that about the draw?
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: problem inno3d p104-100 on: June 01, 2018, 02:29:29 AM

That's way, way too high.  You need to lower power limit, as others itt have suggested.

That's not the power consumption mate, it's all about the power supply. Actually 6 * P104-100 consume not that much power, as far as I know the TDP is about 180W - 225W, depend on which manufacturer. For me I'm using 1600W PSU for the rig with: 6 P104-100 + 2 P106-100, power limit was set at 80%, so far so good.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PRE-ICO] [MVP] Buddy | Decentralized Development Automation Platform on: May 31, 2018, 01:37:33 PM
I did researches on Buddy and feel like this project is really promising. I checked not only whitepaper, but also the working platform as well, it's too good to be true: already had 7,000+ developers are working on the platform. Seem good. By the way, there's one thing which make me confuse is why there's no ICO listing info about Buddy. Typically, a good ICO will be rated very soon on ICO rating sites. Just my thought, I may need to look around more before making an investment.

Hi mate, your core OC is too high, and 530 sol/s, seem like you run it at 100% power limit, It's a bit too much. For me, I always set power limit at 80% only.
You could test it at stock setting first. Then step-by-step OC with higher core. I mined with P104-100 as well, so far so good, for your interest, please check my tests in following thread. By the way, I think P104-100 could do better on mining ETH rather than mining ZEC.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2677496
Please what are the settings of eth

Hi mate, you could try with the following setting:

1. Claymore's Dual Ethereum Miner.
2. %75 power limit
3. +640 memory
4 -50 core

The hashrate should be around 39.5 - 39.7 Mh/s. I ever pushed memory to +800, but it's not stable, and getting crash sometimes. So I think OC memory should be less than +650. For power limit, if I set it to 85%, the hashrate will be around 40.5 Mh/s.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Innosilicon PSU failing? on: May 30, 2018, 08:47:41 AM
10% failure rate is too much. I not really willing to purchase any devices from Innosilicon (Actually I had some Innosilicon P104-100 GPUs before), especially PSU. I always like to use PSUs from EVGA (very expensive), Superflower leadex (reasonable price) and Great Wall Power (from China - very cheap). Currently, our mining farms're using about ~190 Superflower leadex 1300W and Great Wall Gigantic Dragon 1250W, so far so good (actually I never push PSU too much, my power limit is under 80% for 24/7 operation, room temperature is kept below 45C, GPU temperature is under 68C).
