121  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will Bitcoin play as gold? Shall I buy gold Or Bitcoin? on: February 02, 2021, 06:41:27 AM
If you have doubt and register to a BITCOIN forum to ask that kind of question, you really should buy gold and wait a few years. If you are smart you buy Bitcoin too, just in case...
btw I don't believe your story

I am spending Bitcoin on a regular basis since 2013, knowing that every Satoshi will be worth multiple times in the near future.

Correct version of your question: "Did you buy the dip?"

My answer: "Yes I bought the dip, but it wasn't the one in 2021"
129  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big BTC price correction incoming???? on: January 08, 2021, 02:09:02 PM
Obviously BTC is on a tear right right with the 40k resistance now broken today... my question for all you experts is this:

When will the next correction occur in your opinion? Also how big of a correction will it be?

I only have a small amount invested (I just started crypto trading right before this bull run started in Nov.), and am contemplating selling my position and reentering the market after the dip occurs.

 Huh

Next dip will be crayzeeeee, because this time it will be upwards!

131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What exactly was the idea behind bitcoin? on: January 04, 2021, 04:01:25 PM
You are using wrong assumptions to back your claim.
Since Bitcoin is divisible there is no limit. Think of a Satoshi as a unit. If this was a problem in the future due to a high btc price we can add some more 0's later.
Also transaction volume limit is no problem thanks to solutions like lightning.

So yes, Bitcoin is the money for the internet

Check the Bitcoin white paper https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf to find out about the idea behind Bitcoin. You're welcome!

134  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Heritage/Insurance Encapsuled Encryption System on: December 11, 2020, 06:57:24 PM
I was thinking about one of the 3 dies AFTER me and BEFORE he was able to answer the questions, but your answer explained it anyway.

Another question: How would they know about this file? Do I have to give them the file incl the questions BEFORE I die? Wouldn't this lead to possible collusion between the 3 while I'm alive?
I mean I could use a dead man's switch, but this is not part of your idea, is it?

Another thing is this one: What if I die and the 3 people start answering questions to open the layers until it comes to the last question, where only one person is able to unlock the money, without the need for the other two. If he takes the file which is almost resolved, he could go away, answer the last question alone and keep the money. Is this possible with your script?
135  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A DECENTRALIZED P2P MUSIC CREATION AND DISTRIBUTION PLATFORM (DPMCDP) on: December 11, 2020, 05:23:27 PM
They seem to be concentrating on the composition rights.

Got to start somewhere and that one part is probably important and might gain traction.

I agree that it definitely is important to have a secure possibility to register compositions.

Might be of interest, lots of Room to build on top of it.

I liked the part that that they are actively making sure Radio Stations are observed, then again Radio Station play Garbage Music most of the time, due to deals with Garbage Companies and Garbage Producers in pure circle jerk method.
The Music Industry is rotten and its current form needs to go away. So big yes to decentralized solutions!

Thanks for the link. Interesting. They seem to be concentrating on the composition rights. My idea is more kind of a allinone solution, where registering compositions on the blockchain is just a small, but important part of it.

I agree with the rotten and corrupt music biz.
137  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Heritage/Insurance Encapsuled Encryption System on: December 11, 2020, 12:05:11 PM
If Paul, Sue or John dies before being able to answering all 3 questions or one of them forgets only one answer, the remaining two will not be able to decrypt the file, am I right? Is there a way to let it work like a 2 of 3 multi sig?
138  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A DECENTRALIZED P2P MUSIC CREATION AND DISTRIBUTION PLATFORM (DPMCDP) on: December 09, 2020, 12:36:30 PM
I'm not a programmer/coder or musician, but like most people I like to listen good music, and I like the presented idea because it seems to me that many musicians would benefit from it, especially those who may be less famous and find it difficult to present their music outside its local framework.

What interests me is would such a service be something that could interest a significant number of people? @AGD maybe as a musician you could (if you haven’t already) do some research among your colleagues to get an insight into what they think about it?

Personally am a big fan of what is called world music, and I think there is a lot of great music that despite the digital age is still quite unknown - and it comes from mostly poor countries where conditions for musicians are very poor.

Especially nowadays in the pandemic and lockdown times, I bet there are a lot of musicians out there that would like to connect to others.
139  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A DECENTRALIZED P2P MUSIC CREATION AND DISTRIBUTION PLATFORM (DPMCDP) on: December 09, 2020, 10:53:10 AM
@AGD
I've seen a few people [in this forum] that tried achieving something in a similar field to this project [not exactly the same, yours is way better] and failed but, I genuinely feel good about your project idea [I see its potential and I really like it].

  • In addition to the above things, the fact that it's going to integrate cryptocurrency payments will surely come in handy for those that are frozen out due to their location and the available traditional methods of payment in other platforms.

- Virtual and decentralized rehearsal rooms/recording studios to produce music
I'm quite interested in this part [it's going to be fun].

Yeah! It would be quite fun to connect to other musicians world wide on a free decentralized platform. Just plug in and play!
If your project sounds good and you want to release it to the public, you can register songs directly to the blockchain with a timestamp and press the release button to put the song on your website either for free, or you can charge a fee from 1 Satoshi to any price you like. With Lightning this would be made easy peasy.
140  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A DECENTRALIZED P2P MUSIC CREATION AND DISTRIBUTION PLATFORM (DPMCDP) on: December 08, 2020, 07:46:51 PM
You wrote a lot so I feel kinda bad for making my reply this short, but the first question that pops in my mind (and perhaps others') is - how are you going to RIAA-proof this thing?

You saw what they tried to do with youtube-dl, these guys will go after anything that they think remotely infringes their intellectual property.

This platform would be RIAA independent, because all compositions would be registered at the blockchain instead.

The thing with RIAA vs youtube is, that youtubers are using RIAA registered music, but they didn't pay the musician through the RIAA. The RIAA couldn't go after compositions, that are not registered with them.
