Accidentally placed a very small (below limit) bet, can this get refunded? If not consider it a donation
122  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC][IPO]ASICME-Our Conquest Is the Sea of Stars on: August 12, 2013, 05:16:22 PM
Could someone link me a summary of the history of this companies dealings? I have read a lot of stuff saying they have scammed people in China, tons of pre-orders never delivered etc. Also as a courtesy could someone translate the chinese posts in this thread, it is hard to follow when there are multiple languages being spoken  Huh

Does Labcoin have a website where they will post updates and hopefully some videos?

125  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (500 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: August 07, 2013, 04:27:13 AM
also, how much if ANY coins are the "shareholders/owners" putting up of their own money. or are they saying that their work/expertise is worth 40% management fee?

Yea need an answer on this one Smiley

see.. i think companies developing/running asics are worth more "management fees" as more difficult work is required (making the asics).
40% ownership if nothing is put up on their part (besides ordering and setting the facility up) is quite a big cut

Has this been answered/addressed yet?
126  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: USD You Would pay for 1 GH/s Right Now on: August 06, 2013, 10:43:12 PM
As far as erupters go they need to come down to around $15-$25 usd for me to jump in.

If someone payed 1btc for an erupter it would take 270 days to break even assuming a conservative diff increase of 5% a month. With a 10% increase it will take 1 year to break even in btc.

So this isn't really anything I can order ATM, i have a few Jupiter shares that I payed $30 for 1.2gh, but who knows if that will make sense 6 months from now  Huh
127  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] [AUCTION] KnC Mercury USA 1/25 Shares ~4Gh/s *ORDERED***PAID* on: August 02, 2013, 10:32:25 PM
No one wants in? Too bad it looks my bid will be cancelled.  Sad
128  Economy / Auctions / Re: KnCMiner Jupiter Shares GB4 .1/per share = .4Gh/s on: August 01, 2013, 01:18:23 AM
I'll take 1 more share (big spender).

I'm in your 3rd GB as well, has that unit been ordered?

Also, do you have any plans on what exactly you will do with any profit gained from the 200 shares that go to reinvestment? Will this go back to KnC, or other companies?
129  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [ISO] USD Paypal Bitfury Group Buy on: July 31, 2013, 03:24:06 PM
I understand people are weary of scams, but I'm not sure how this applies. Several people are doing group buys priced in USD via paypal. If someone was to attempt a chargeback, they would simply remove them from the shareholders list. I have been around the forum for a few months now and have made numerous posts in various subforums.

The reason why I want to pay in USD not btc is simply I do not have enough btc to participate in these group buys. I don't want to use an exchange like Mt Gox or BTC-e because they seem shady to me. Until an exchange offers low cost, fast transactions, via bank transfer for any amount then I would be willing to use it. I am not going to pay 3% to person X wait a week pay some more fee's etc.

Also I believe paypal has the option to pay as "friends or family" which cuts fees and possibly protects against chargebacks.

136  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Sapphire Radeon 7950 blown capacitor on: July 28, 2013, 03:56:39 PM
Yesterday I restarted one card and i head a "puffft" noise and started to smell something burning. I powered off the psu, when i took a look at the card on of the capacitors I believe is blown off laying 45 degree angle to the board. I have to call newegg tomorrow because the card is only 2 months old. Frustrating

I was under the impression I could pay with USD since that is what prices were in. Unfortunately you will have to remove my order since I don't have any btc to spend.

139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / RAM concern on: July 24, 2013, 09:06:25 PM
Hello all,
I currently only have a small rig going with 1 x 7950 on an old motherboard with 2gb DDR2 RAM. I was wondering if I wanted to add another card will I run into memory problems? I mostly mine Scrypt coins which I read are more memory intensive. Is there a way to measure actual RAM usage by the card?
140  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Bicknellski K1 Nano USA group buy interest on: July 24, 2013, 02:39:49 PM
Keep us posted, I think the $50 pricepoint would attract more interest.
