The authorities gave the exchange heads up knowing satoshi (his fake name) is on the run from the law and ebtc was his scam to run with people's eth, intentionally making the contract for infinite supply to create all the mess and obscurity to cover up his intent to fraud everyone. I’ve mentioned it before and you can even check the ETHD dark thread. I was the CM from $.50 too $4, during this time I managed the community across many channels, created articles and media for which no payment was received, after having no reply’s to my emails and no payment for my work, I made the decision to leave was easily made for myself, after leaving the community had zero contact from anyone within the “team” which caused the price too drop. Since if you check the ETHD thread the developer has now made a payment to moderators for the work and apologised for the late payments. Hope that clears it up! And if you received no payment for all your work there, then that is rather disappointing as you were the only source of any information for a good couple of weeks. If mercatox delists it, how ebtc devs will do token swap lol To be honest after what Merca pulled last night we will be looking to conduct the swap in another exchange that we are in communication with in regards to listing and the swap. The fact that while in discussion and very close to making payment for the swap within the exchange, Mercatox would launch this anti-eBTC campaign, you can be sure that we will attempt to conduct the swap with a more reputable exchange. Mercatox was using the “voting” to have users depositing funds be the only ones whom can vote, this means that for every vote they will receive the withdrawal fees when those users go to remove the funds they where forced to transfer to vote. |

Well. A lot has happened to get to this point. And it is going to be a lot to take in so bare with me.
I am in charge of marketing/public relations. My name is Manny. Nice to meet you. I was attracted to the project because of it’s very simple idea and core value. It just seems like a great idea, I thought. Oh boy did I sign up for a world of craziness.
Let’s catch up.
Satoshi21 created eBTC, he formed a team, then abandoned the project and left everything behind. It might be hard to believe but he has his reasons and we don’t fault him for that. Although he could have warned us.
The Road Ahead
The eBTC team has got everything they need to proceed with the project. We have the private keys/the developers/the marketing team/the core team. We are aiming for the moon while keeping our heads down and working hard to develop eBTC.
The Plan Is Simple
In the coming days we have a lot to do. A lot of fires to put out and a lot of progress needs to be made to ensure the community trusts eBTC.
Here’s what we are working on.
Rebuilding
We will be actively building up our follower base on all social media platforms and creating content to keep our community informed
Code Audit
To make sure we don’t have the same mistakes again, we will be having the code audited (looked over) by many different people to ensure it is flawless
Token Swap
Once the code has been finalized and implemented we will be honoring everyone who has supported eBTC so far with a 1:1 token swap.
(This means you trade the eBTC tokens from the flawed contract to the eBTC tokens to the new flawless contract)
Exchanges
We have numerous emails to send out to ensure that multiple exchanges list eBTC. Really nothing more than just reaching out and seeing how to get listed.

On their fake site, the fake so-called developers said they got the keys from sat. which is a lie, as they would also have got the ebtc.io access too. They keep changing their lies to hack, to Sat. shutting everything down and running and panicking (why panic if he did no wrong), and now they lie by saying a swap in 1 1/2 months and they make up a few fake websites today. They want you believe there is a dev. team (there's not) and they got the keys (which they didn't, as they would have got access to the original ebtc.io website from Sat. too. If you cannot discern all the lies in this great con, wow.
So we clearly found someone on from the Mercatox troll box. Does it anger you that this project keeps surviving attempts to destroy it? Or that we’ve been able to regain control of the project. ALL FUNDS AND TOKENS ARE NOW IN THE TEAMS CONTROL
Official Notification by the eBTC team
Due to yesterday's shutdowns the community of eBTC is sharing some uncertainty in relation to future of the development. It is all caused by the fact that the creator of eBTC shut himself off from the project along with all social channels and web page due to personal reasons.
We would like to announce that strong support from the community of eBTC has led to a situation that the project has been taken over by rest of the 15 team members who shall continue the work with eBTC.
Current plan forsees token swap to fix any issues with technical matters as soon as possible. We have registered a new web page http://ebtctoken.org/ which is under construction and will be updated any time soon.
We ask you to be patient and follow our updates - Rome was not built in a day.

Who could have seen this coming.  Seems like the creator of eBTC has not done this the first time. This coin went to 15M USD market cap so fast without any real use case, because some big sites posted about it. I guess the dev has many good connections in the crypto space. Please actually read the thread and you’ll realise that’s why the dev freaked out, he didn’t expect this become so big and couldn’t handle the pressure, the development team can. 1: the token swap will be on Mercatox for simplicity and clarity 2: We have no ETA 3: We gained private key and access to the wallet, and completely SEIZED all 362K unsold tokens and 20 ETH gained from the panic sales by Satoshi21 on EtherDelta. I feel like Satoshi21 is getting off lightly here, I'm not buying the "I deposited the eBTC token funds into my own ETH wallet because I was overwhelmed  bullshit". I appreciate the new team is not Satoshi21, but there's a lot of people who lost money in the crash who dumped their eBTC and who are now left out in the cold, even if the project somehow makes a miraculous recovery, they won't be involved. At the very least dev team, you should get Satoshi21 to be a man, come on here and face up to people. You are still in contact yes? Another thing you could do is payout the recovered Eth to people who lost out, is this being done? He left the funds within he exchange when the private key was returned to the development team, he only sold a portion before we believe realizing this wasn’t the right way, we have moved the funds and unspent tokens to a new team controlled account, unfortunatly any of the remaining tokens or funds will remain with the development team as the purpose of the dev share is for development funding which is what it will be used for. Unfortunate we would have no way of verifying someone’s loss, nor the capacity to do so, if people decided to sell at a loss during the issues the last 72 hours while being informed along the way whenever we had something to release, unfortunately we won’t be paying out any ETH or tokens, as this would be unfair to those who held at a loss during the recent events. We would love for satoshi21 to come forward and contact the public to explain himself, we have limited contact but will pass that request along Wasn't it like 20 eth? And couldn't you use etherscan, combined with bitcointalk pms to work out who sent eBTC to EtherDelta at time time of the crash, you could then ask for screenshots of EtherDelta trade history to verify they did. That's one way I thought of, laborious I know but definitely doable. I don't think it's right for the team to keep the Eth, even if you can only pay back claimants 1/10 or 1/100, you should do it, that money's not rightfully yours. You want to rebuild trust and make your new token successful, that would be a good start. Incredibly laborious and would also require us extending the current timeframe for the swap to accommodate for that, realistically it’s not something we could do. Just to clarify, The developer sent his % of the original distribution to the exchange, this was always rightfully belonging to the development team behind eBTC and for the progression and implementation of our whitepaper goals and roadmap, while satoshi attempted to cash this out and leave he project, he did not envision the community banding together and the development team standing behind the community. Now that the account is controlled by the development team, the remaining % of the eBTC and ETH will be use to further development, all funding expenses will be made public and visibly audiatable via etherscan and will only occur after consensus voting by the team of over 17. This will ensure in future everything is conducted correctly and above board, we do apologise for anyone who did see a loss when the news first broke but we encouraged people to hold and also you should only ever invest what your comfortable losing. |

What is the point of this swap that everyone keeps mentioning? if Dev went rogue and dumped coins, I dont see what a swap will accomplish? You're just swapping out one token name for another essentially? Seems like that would just hide the problem. Why not just resume development on existing token?
Just read back a few pages and you’ll see we have the unsold coins and the profits from the sale of the deva share, he handed over the keys for the accounts and the project to the dev team, stand by for further updates |
