121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins are going down and down on: August 27, 2018, 09:30:27 AM
Basically the market conditions, especially the Altcoin market are very dynamic and not easy to predict specifically. But many people believe that coin prices will improve by the end of 2018 or early 2019. I don't know where they predict crypto. And hopefully their predictions really happen.
The altcoin market does indeed move in a dramatic way since it is "leveraged" to bitcoin--that is when bitcoin pumps alts pump more, otherwise it dumps much more. With this, it is much safer to pull out of the market for the mean time since not all alts that suffer sever dump ever recover from it.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Average time for a bounty project on: August 27, 2018, 09:26:48 AM
Today there are many different bounty projects. Time for projects is also different. According to you, how many time the most appropriate for a bounty project?
It ranges from 2-3 months depending on the ICO of the project. Sometimes even if the ICO is not finished, the bounty campaign is done.  There's also instances that a bounty gets extended for a month or two  because the ICO is also moved due to current market conditions. Anyhow, you can just join bounty campaigns that is nearing its end if you don't want to wait long.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any reason why i must continue Investing in Altcoins? on: August 26, 2018, 03:58:02 PM
If you have missed bitcoin's development, in altcoins, you have the opportunity to witness its growth from the ground and be part of its early adopters. Needless to say that the risks is far greater since most of the alts now never recover after a huge dump so pick the ones with a solid product.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is so special about ethereum? on: August 25, 2018, 03:13:31 PM
Not a hater of it but I'm actually intrigued how ETH is valued right now even though people know that it has an unlimited supply. The only reason why it the price pumped is because of the ICOs last year. Now, the repuation of ICOs has reached rock-bottom so it makes sense that demand for it would go down.
125  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you use cryptocurrencies in your daily life? Are they useful? on: August 25, 2018, 02:49:09 PM
I don't use them everyday but they certainly are very useful. Whenever I need to send money to other people over long distances (even overseas), I can just send them bitcoin instead. Luckily, I also have the option to pay my monthly bills using crypto here so no more queuing up in lines.
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Fiat on: August 23, 2018, 03:00:51 PM
I'd like to think of bitcoin as another option for payment, not a contender of some sort to replace fiat. There are pros and cons to using each one so I'd rather make them co-exist so whenever the time to use bitcoin comes up, I can utilize it and vice-versa.
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's stop comparing Bitcoin to Ethereum or any other Cryptos on: August 23, 2018, 02:52:31 PM
We cannot avoid comparing these two since both are under the same topic, that is, blockchain. Yes, eth is made for smart contracts and bitcoin is focused on p2p transaction, being a store of value but keep in mind that eth can also do what bitcoin is capable of--perhaps even better since it can host several tokens.
128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Are Your top Concerns in Bitcoin and Crypto? on: August 23, 2018, 02:41:07 PM
My only concern is that we might never reach the adoption that we aim. The price are overshadows the technology behind it so lots of people are seeing bitcoin and crypto in general as a one-time-jackpot tool only. Not to mention the heavy regulations that the government place which steers away public interest.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin go under FBI investgation on: August 22, 2018, 03:48:03 PM
I don't see any sense to this happening. There is no central figure in bitcoin so who's gonna get interrogated by the FBI? Perhaps the people using it normally? No. If they've done that, they would have to do it to all parties involved to practice impartiality.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin ever stop depending on fiat currency? on: August 22, 2018, 03:37:48 PM
If everyone in the world gets into crypto and cryptocurrency will become an official global currency, do you think bitcoin then will stop depending on fiat currency? Or will it just co-exist with fiat?
Probably the latter. I don't think bitcoin will be a global currency anytime soon or reach a level where if someone ask: "how much is one bitcoin in dollars?" and they reply: "I don't understand? one bitcoin is one bitcoin." The reason for this is people tend to prefer tangible over non-tangible things such as crypto.
131  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you one of those who think that BITCOIN will not rise this year? on: August 21, 2018, 03:13:49 PM
The investors who got burned last bull run in last year December might take time to regain the confidence (or money) that they lost. I'm not saying that it would not rise, actually I believe it will since there's always new investors does not know of bitcoin and want to invest in it. However, it is unlikely that it would reach new ATH by then.
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons behind Bitcoin/Cryptomarket fall??? on: August 21, 2018, 02:41:22 PM
It all depends on the nature of the news. If majority is positive, people assume it to be a start of somethiing --probably a bull run-- otherwise the market dumps because of the FUD created by it. It might also be possible that whales are conniving and deliberately crashing the market to accumulate cheap coins.
133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain without Bitcoin, is it going to happen? on: August 21, 2018, 02:30:10 PM
The technology has been found so it won't ever be lost. Bitcoin can 'die' but blockchain has numerous real-life application. It just so happens that these two are linked to each other because blockchain's first utilization is in digital currency.

135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I bought bitcoin at $20k last year on: August 20, 2018, 01:43:31 PM
I got into the bitcoin again last year after losing all my 4.5 bitcoins to ponzi schemes early last year. I bought in bitcoin again at $20k. Now bitcoin is $6k+.  I'm regretting my actions.  Huh
These are isolated cases: one is getting scammed and the other is getting bull trapped. However, the cause is similar: negligence and lack of due diligence. Both might have been avoided if you have taken necessary cautions, but alas, time cannot be brought back. Just don't sell until bitcoin reaches 20k$ again..though it would be a tough hodl.
136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin must be regulated! on: August 20, 2018, 12:23:13 PM
Bitcoin cannot be regulated; it is decentralized so no central figure to exercise regulation. However, IMO, centralized exchange must be regulated since they are literally going overboard. Some of the large exchanges charges ridiculous fees for listing a  token. It can also be a tool used in money laundering.
137  Economy / Speculation / Re: situation about the condition of bitcoin ! on: August 19, 2018, 11:56:14 AM
Speaking about Bitcoin's current situation, Bitcoin's market value is no longer better. Bitcoin was in the very first condition, at the price such as Bitcoin, now it is in a very bad condition. In the first place, Bitcoin survives in the current market, depending on the work and needs of the people. We can say for sure that Bitcoin will again be elevated to its highest rank.
Indeed, the situation right now might be dire but IMO if we consider it for long term, it is actually faring good. The price increase have become more natural, some of the over-hyped and over-valued coins have returned to the earth.
138  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin fair for those who buy for the first time now? on: August 19, 2018, 11:51:02 AM
As for me, I would rather prefer to buy new upcoming coins that are sure and certain, rather than buying bitcoin now. You will make better profit from the new ICO coins.
Many people are doing this strategy actually. All is good for this if you don't encounter a scam ICO.

This is as fair as it can get. The early investors before faced many uncertainty and mental stress so their reward for that is what we're seeing now i.e price appreciation.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounties are STUPID on: August 19, 2018, 11:38:11 AM
Naah, I think its brilliant. The project literally pays zero money for advertisement. If they failed to reach the softcap then no money were wasted. If perhaps the project is a success, they would only need to delay the distribution of the payment to ensure that the dumping would be minimized at the moment of listing in exchanges.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paying Bounty With TOKEN or ETH which will be better? on: August 18, 2018, 12:22:10 AM
Paying bounty with token is a more logical move as they are basically free advertising since the said tokens have no liquidity yet. Paying eth on the other hand has a lot of liquidity so it could be used for the development of the project anytime.
