Is there any use case of blackbytes
like where can i sell this blackbytes, unable to find any market of it

http://www.beeb-bot.com/

If you know you have blackbytes, then you have a wallet.  Trading can done directly within the wallet.  Not sure where you were looking, but you should first look around in the wallet itself at the features it has.

About this, is there any particular reason why GBB is not on any exchange? I know this has been asked a gazillion times already but I still wonder, what is it about GBB's anonymity tech that makes it not a good fit for exchanges compared to other anonymous crypto? XMR, for example, is also anonymous but tradeable on Bittrex.

Not sure what the market cap is, but if I'd have to guess, volume and price would be too low to make any profit.

Iconomi has good community, that is the key to success, and more good investment will help the price push.
Biggest key to success is the Iconomi team doing hard work and making smart decisions.
Which I think is happening, overall...

Waiting for Q3 report. I'm holding all my ICN tokens right now even though it cannot be used in the US and Canada due to the government's securities regulations.
Yes, hopefully the SEC regulations will be cleared up in the coming year, which should give a huge boost to crypto in general.

Just bought some extra ICN, FUD is keeping prices down. But I'm reassured by the latest AMA that Iconomi still wants to reward ICN hodlers, even though they're still vague on a lot of points.
October 2018 will probably be the big break-out point. That's when the dev team receive all their tokens and voting rights will come into play for token hodlers. Up to then it's in Iconomi and the dev team's best interest to keep the price low. More cheap buybacks and possibly they're even loading up on ICN tokens personally.

I'm secretly hoping they will return to dividends instead of buybacks at some point. Would be great if we could vote on that.
But that will depend for the most part on the regulator if it will be interesting or not.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 5 crypto currencies to invest in 2018 on: September 23, 2017, 04:44:20 PM
Imo the best risk-reward coins for mid/long-term (buy and HODL)

1. Bitcoin (BTC): once the real institutional money flows in (ETFs), most of it will go to BTC, raising the price a lot. 10k
2. ETH: solid team, a lot of companies are invested in it. Once POS mining kicks in and more and more companies run products/projects on it the demand will be huge.
3. OMG: huge potential, solid team. Might be best positioned to become the first REAL large-scale crypto payment provider that the regular people will start using.
4: ICN (Iconomi): all devs will get all their ICN tokens, voting rights will be introduced for ICN holders. I think the ICN price is artificially low in order to have cheap buybacks. The price will blow up after October 2018 I think.
5: NEO: This is the most risky bet. If China allows ICOs again, they'll want to have them on a Chinese platform. NEO seems the logical candidate. Will be the Chinese Ethereum...

We have shown the diamond bottom/floor, aka 100k sat, I think we need to buy instead of selling now.
Seems like a solid team with clear ideas (roadmap) and communication.
Sadly I bought at the wrong time and lost more than half of my value Cry

I wish they'd make staking a bit more attractive.
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OmiseGo on: September 23, 2017, 03:49:37 PM
I was surprised when I saw that I received a few OmiseGo tokens (less than 3) in my Etherwallet today. I've never attended an ICO of OmiseGo nor a bounty campaign of OmiseGo. Was it an airdrop to all Ether owners and hodlers or is it just a fake token? Etherwallet shows me the token as original OmiseGo Token. If there are indeed real OmiseGo tokens, what was the Ether / OmiseGo ratio of distribution?
They airdropped 5% of the OMG tokens to ether holders (above 0.1 ETH I believe).
You probably have a bit less than 70 ETH?

127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: September 23, 2017, 02:03:48 PM
why are many people assuming once the airdrops are over the price will tank?

Seems a strange notion.

The functionality and real world use case for a project should determine its value once it is fully distributed.

Of course supply and demand short term but long term if this brings what it seems it can bring then the demand will be there.

I am expecting if this advances along as planned it should start picking up in price after the coins are all distributed.

I am a big hater of the initial distribution of this project and will never change my views on that. I do not believe early adopters in one coin deserve to auto take the lions share of all future crypto without having to risk a single satoshi of their btc mountains.

I will never understand why a simple null of the top 2% of wallets was not conducted without announcement.

Regardless of this I still think this could turn out to be one of the top 5 if things go to plan.

Why people think there is hodling just for airdrops i am not sure.. the price is not predictable to hold just to accrue a few more tokens. Holding long term has to be the plan now for those that have been holding from the start. I'm quite hopeful although I am just a tiny holder due to not really linking much of my btc to it.

Agreed for the most part. However I suspect price will fall after the final airdrop is over unless there is a steady upward momentum. Mid term it should recover though.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: September 22, 2017, 12:32:38 PM
Oversold.... wayyyy oversold.
Expect an upward correction.

Free money to be made right now
Yes, will probably recover. Only question is when it will hit the bottom...
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: September 22, 2017, 12:22:32 PM
I have to say that I think that the AMA was good. Obviously a lot of utility will be added for ICN so that should kill that FUD.
I was actually pretty pleased as well. Seems they are still intent on rewarding the ICN holders. Still some vague answers, but I guess that's them being smart/cautious.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OmiseGO Airdrop? on: September 11, 2017, 07:41:11 PM
Anyone have any idea what coins are they dropping into the ETH network?

Are they dropping Omisego tokens or any other coins?

IIRC, it stated they will airdrop to Kybernetwork Token, Coindash token and ETH Holder?
They'll drop OmiseGo tokens...

Still didn't receive anything :-(.
Probably won't be that much anyway, but I'm checking like a fiend. Gimme that free money :-p

No one likes to lose money after the altcoin bboom this summer and the following correction after that A lot of people are disappointed. There are a lot of icos that will never produce worth product....
https://medium.com/@avtarsehra/icos-and-economics-of-lemon-markets-96638e86b3b2
Тhis is a very good article on the subject

Interesting article. Many people confuse owning a coin to owning stock... It's clear that most coins which are closely linked to a specific company/product are overvalued.
As we learned with ICN, owning tokens doesn't entitle you to much... Iconomi can just switch the strategy from dividends to buybacks without any repercussions. Maybe they'll just drop the buybacks if they feel like it...

However, I'm still hoping Iconomi does the right thing and rewards it's investors (coin holders).

132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: September 09, 2017, 10:19:47 AM
What they do in cases of BCH and OMG is selling those and buying more assets that are included in the BLX from it
That's reassuring.

That Black Moon shit is copy cat of ICN..   I would never buy into a project with no creativity.. Bunch of losers!
But what really burns me is the lack of communication and transparency from the ICN team.
I have too much money on this project to give up and sell my ICN at these crappy prices.
I do believe that there is still a possibility that the team will make good on us the HODLERS but they are making sure that all the weak hands dump first.
This could take some time yet...

Since there is no current transparency on many issues right now, I will have to wait until the their next financial report to make more intelligent decisions about the future of this project.

edit:  I forgot to say that I hope that this Black Moon SHIT motivates the ICN team to do what is right for ICN HODLERS.
Black moon is tempting because they are still promising to share their profits to the token holders (they're not calling it dividends though).
On the other hand, their marketing is VERY cringy. Even putting Jacob Rothschild in their main video... Plus the fact it's from Russia gives me less trust (politics).

You're just canceling the airdrop? Huh Huh  Undecided Lips sealed Embarrassed
I'm pissed off.

If you're a professional and you promise/schedule something, then do it... Nobody wants to deal with unreliable people.
Imo a bad move to break promises. The crypto technology (in general) is largely unproven, so mostly based on trust.
Translation: "wah wah wah... ZOMG where's my free money??!? wah wah wah... I don't give a shit about your cryptocurrency or your roadmap or anyone else... I wAntZ mah Free MONEYZ!!!!?!!1!!?!"

Seriously, you typify EVERYTHING that is wrong with the Cryptocurrency world today... *smh*

Nobody owes you anything. Put on your big boy pants and dry your eyes.

Lol. Overreact much?

You see that this creating a lot of confusion, hence it's a bad move (both short/long term) imo.
Doing the airdrop as promised shouldn't affect the technical roadmap much (if anything).
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: September 06, 2017, 08:27:37 AM
Anyone know what the ICONOMI team does with Airdrop/Hard Fork coins, or POS gains from the BLX fund?

E.g. what did they do with the Bitcoin Cash (BCC) they received from the Bitcoins that were held? Or what they'll do with the OmiseGo airdrop (linked to the ETH held).
Or the ByteBall airdrops...

Currently it looks like they put them in the CCP fund?

Imo they should either hold it in the BLX fund, or change them for the original coins in the fund (driving up the value of the BLX)... If I copy the fund by buying the separate coins myself, I would also receive those coins...
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: September 06, 2017, 08:05:42 AM
Many news today.

1. We have our first cashback merchants:
Premiumize: Premium downloads, cloud torrents, and VPN.  They also accept payments in Bytes.
NODEshare: masternode as a service.  They also accept payments in Bytes and offer merchant match for large orders.
Other partners are at various stages, I'll announce them when launched.
Cashbacks will come from this address https://explorer.byteball.org/#TU3Q44S6H2WXTGQO6BZAGWFKKJCF7Q3W

2. We'll skip the October full moon.  We need more time to allow more merchants to join the cashback program and I want a larger share of the remaining undistributed coins to be used for acquiring new users.  Larger partners have large teams and need more time to make decisions and integrate.  The next distribution (after September 6) will be on the full moon of November (Nov 4, 2017), and the rules are the same as for September: +10% for Byte holders, 0.00625 GB/BTC for Bitcoin holders.

3. My long time partner Steve Safronov has joined our team and will take care of business development.  He was CEO in one of my previous businesses and helped to grow it manyfold and then sell.  His current focus will be helping solid real-world non-crypto projects raise funds through ICOs on Byteball platform, there are a number of projects already being prepared since August (still early stages).  He will be our 4th team member with committed time, he will be paid from the Community Fund, and I fully trust him to bring new business into Byteball.

WHAT?

Where to store your ICN ?

Do we earn dividends if we store our ICN on the iconomi website ??

Even though dividends are out of the order, still an interesting question.

I was first thinking about keeping them on myetherwallet, same address as my Ether tokens. On second thought, probably a bit safer to store them on a separate ether address, right? In case one get's hacked, or if I make a mistake I won't lose all my (different) tokens.

However, now I'm leaning towards storing them on the Iconomi platform. The 2FA provides extra safety imo, and if their platform get's hacked or if the company disappears the token would be worthless anyway... So not much to lose by storing them on there...
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: September 04, 2017, 11:50:04 AM
Yes, dividends were initially promised, however probably because of legal concerns they retracted that promise.
Seems like the competition is doing the same thing: I remember "blackmooncrypto" promising something similar, however they retracted it as well.

SEC (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Securities_and_Exchange_Commission) is still unclear what to do with ICOs and taxation on cryptos. Dividends would make the coin very stock-like, which would invite high taxation. Europe will probably follow later on.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Deep Onion on: August 31, 2017, 03:03:19 PM
Yes, it's very unfortunate I can't participate either in the Airdrop.
I don't get why they make it a requirement to have an (old) account on here...
A bit disheartening for the new people pouring in...

For all FUDers I’ll start with a quote from an article: “First, the bubbly nature of the ICO market seems to favour the ability to tell a story over the ability to create a great product. The risk here is we’ll end up with more “stock promoters” than “product makers.“”
We happen to be product makers and not hype promoters. Because long term product makers surpass hype promoters by a lot.
With all this FUD there is never conversation about fundamentals. Because you can not have ICONOMI fundamentals and FUD in the same sentence. ICONOMI fundamentals are healthy. Yesterday for example we got more than 200k USD into BLX with 308 buy events. It was no spike. Just an average day. With those numbers ICONOMI as a project is 90% cash positive! That means we make 90% of money we burn every day! And we’re able to do that because we have a functional product out and a lot more coming in the near future. Now compare that any other blockchain project or even any other startup that is less than a year old!

https://www.reddit.com/r/ICONOMI/comments/6wyi6t/dont_panic_guys_this_has_happened_before/dmbtukg/

I just want to point one single thing out

Yesterday for example we got more than 200k USD into BLX with 308 buy events. It was no spike. Just an average day.

Quick math: $200k x 30 = $6,000,000.00 / monthly!

That`s just BLX, no custom DAAs included.

Much WOW!

Such Buybacks!

Nobody is really doubting the success of the platform and the company. FUD exists about the (future) use and value of the ICN coin. He didn't really address that.
So far my investment in ICN has been the only coin which has depreciated in my portfolio...
I'm still positive about mid/long term for the ICN coin.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: August 29, 2017, 08:16:49 AM
I'm wondering if the buyback will really affect ICN prices...
I'd rather see them distributing 5 or 10% of their profits to ICN holders as a dividend.
They could use the money to buy extra coins, put that into BLX and distribute BLX tokens to the ICN holder.
Those could then choose to sell BLX or HODL and let it grow... This would be a much more reliable income stream for the initial investors. The ICN price would be supported as well (nice dividends).

Seems like they don't have anybody working atm on sales or marketing: https://www.iconomi.net/about. This probably explains why the coin is sinking...
Probably a good idea to hire ASAP...

I think they are probably still negotiating with different stakeholders (mainly the "fund manager" candidates) on the use of the ICN token.

The platform seems to be stable, their index (BLX) is performing well... So the company seems to have a nice head start on the competition.
I'm still optimistic about ICN. Let's hope that once they start their true marketing campaign, the coin will take off. Remember that the current team also reserved a pretty high % of ICN tokens for themselves. So in the long term they'll profit from higher ICN prices as well. October 2018 they'll receive all ICNs: https://iconomi.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002851065-ICN-token. Up till then, it's probably in their own interest to keep prices low (cheaper for the company to buy back), and the devs might even buy in more themselves...

Verdict: HODL
