121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it true that ALT coins had a bigger rise than BTC last May? on: June 05, 2019, 04:00:46 PM
There is something in it.
Some of the altcoins that I had a good growth a year ago. Much better than this year. Perhaps then many investors believed in altcoins enough to buy. This year, everything is different: people only believe in the biggest coins.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PoW] [PoS] VEIL - Privacy without compromise on: June 05, 2019, 03:54:43 PM
With the price going down at the moment we can expect the staking difficulty to rise even further up. Even with 6k Veils, it's getting harder to get a stake every 3-7 days.

Please excuse my ignorance. Is it possible to do PoS mining with just 6,000 Veil? I thought that for doing that you need to have a minimum of 10,000 Veil in your wallet. Anyway, the decrease in mining reward is good news for people like me. That means that the supply of coins is reduced and the exchange rates may rise due to the scarcity.
It seems, most likely the opposite. The decrease in mining reward is associated with an increase in complexity, the emission is the same.
In this case, you will get a reward less often, and large holders will receive a large part. They can sell rewards of the same volume, but already from a limited number of holders.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Happy And What Are Your Plans Next? on: June 05, 2019, 03:31:43 PM
Most of the coins and tokens (excluding ether) that I have have not shown good growth Angry. These altcoins continue to fall vs Bitcoin and Ethereum. All I do and will do is trading some of them to increase the number of coins being traded.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Lets Do It - PUMP 2019 on: June 04, 2019, 07:24:59 PM
reply your predicts about 2019 Finas Q4. price - top coins .

now seems a deep corrections coming,,
try to pick in a good cryptocurrency in the deep price now, before bitcoin touch $10K and ethereum touch $500 before the end of this year buddy
That's easy, it's pretty close at their price now, since we are talking on our prediction in quarter 4, we should predict a higher price.
For me, I believe that altcoins will skyrocket when bitcoin will reach a good price, probably at least $15K this year, that would make altcoins to be half of their ATH. Well, we cannot expect a big increase of altcoins if we will not see bitcoin having a new all time high.
I expect the rise of altcoins only after BTC updates ATH. First, many newbies will pay attention to bitcoins when they enter the market. Then they will begin to understand that there are many potential altcoins. More time will pass before the new money starts pumping altcoins ... It will not be soon, not in 2019.
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Old ICO tokens earned in bounty campaigns. on: June 02, 2019, 06:49:42 PM
I also hold all my assets received as a reward. And I don't regret if the asset dies. Sometimes I watch their telegram groups. It gives nothing. They have some kind of quiet activity. Perhaps to quietly disappear. And cover their tracks. ...in this case, it will be difficult for investors to get their money back.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB first and only coin to hit all time high! on: June 01, 2019, 01:02:26 PM
A lot peoplel hate BNB, SO where does all this binance hate come from?

in my opinion the person who hated Binance is a person who regretted because not believing to invest in Binance when Binance price was still cheap and now they began to regret because Binance price increases very high, so actually they didn't hate Binance but they regretted not trusting to invest in Binance when Binance price was still cheap.
Yes, I have the same feeling Grin. Although I don't hate Binance. They do their job well.
This is one way to centralize cryptocurrency, but what can we do about it? I just do not have BNB. But many people want to make a profit here and now and they buy BNB. Well, come on, but remember, nothing lasts forever in our world.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Showing Good Growth, Upgrades Coming on: June 01, 2019, 12:45:30 PM
By 2018, many new projects appeared on the ethereum blockchain. Many of them are still waiting for a good price to get money in accordance with their ICO. In addition, many investors are waiting for these price levels. The first strong resistance level will be around $300. In order to compensate for all the proposals, it is necessary that a lot of new money come into the market.
No matter how ethereum looks good for fundamental reasons, technically everything is not so good. Therefore, I will not hope for a rapid price increase in the coming months.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some IEOs could also turn out to be scam on: May 31, 2019, 07:06:11 PM
It's highly unlikely foe an IEO to turn out as a scam because the exchange won't risk their reputation to hold a scam IEO. I'm not saying it isn't possible but it's highly unlikely.

really? have you seen the reputation of some of the exchanges that are out there? They are scammy themselves! Take yobit for example, any IEO that they conduct is surely going to be a shit one. Even if it has immediate buyers.
I agree. In addition, large exchanges, such as Binance, are only responsible at the initial stage of the project’s existence on the market. Scammers understand this and can use it. As a result, IEO will become another type of crowdfunding, which has been killed by fraud.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When will Altcoins come out of the Bear Market? on: May 31, 2019, 06:55:06 PM
Oh, this question also bothers me.
As I remember, many altcons began a sharp increase at the end of 2017 (and this can be seen on the charts of many assets). It was faery Grin.
Now it would be great if altcons at least save the prices vs bitcoin and ethereum before the start of the big game.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs gonna phase out very soon? on: May 31, 2019, 06:40:01 PM
ICO is not going anywhere. This is the freest way of crowdfunding. Scammers will continue to harvest in such a way until people become crypto-literate.

IEO and STO are half measures that do not cure from fraudsters who

131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Planning for summer 2019 on: May 31, 2019, 02:09:27 PM
So many people are planning a summer vacation for mining, what I think about connecting to the net Grin. An additional call for this is more higher prices.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is nobody talking about Iota? on: May 30, 2019, 01:08:19 PM
Can you guys tell me why there is nobody talking about Iota here?

https://coordicide.iota.org/

They will solve the Trilemma!

+ about 25% in one day since release of the coordicite page Shocked
IOTA is good but it is still an altcoin and everybody's attention is in bitcoin's price. The limelight is still on bitcoin because of the fact that many investors and traders consider the bitcoin's price is still dominant over all the cryptocurrency or coins in the digital world. Let's see if the bull run really confirmed it is his season then maybe IOTA will start to move favorably along with other altcoins.
Yes, this is another altcoin that has yet to conquer the world. After all, they already have competitors. Of course, IOTA depends on bitcoin, but let's hope until they realize their plans.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins, exceeding BTC growth in 2019 on: May 30, 2019, 12:53:32 PM
this suggests that some altcoins are no longer dependent on bitcoin, as it is traditionally believed and show significant growth, I would like them to show the dynamics of growth when the market is in the red zone.
It would be nice if that were the case. However, often the cause is
Most of the coins in that list are pump-and-dump shitcoins with no real world use-case, so it's normal that they'll outperform Bitcoin since part of their strategy to stay relevant in the market is to get a nice pump in the price every now and then to attract newcomers looking to make a quick buck because that's their only selling point: to be an altcoin which you can profit from.

Someday there will be self-sufficient projects. When a new infrastructure will connect the real world with a cryptocurrency, coins independent of bitcoins appear.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining ETH is now no profit on: May 29, 2019, 07:00:33 AM
[cut out]

My calculation is not based on ico's, if you think that is why eth rose in 2017 then you must revise your calculation, my calculation is based on supply and demand day by day and possible scarcity of eth when a determined price is hit too fast. ETH long term holders comprise of around 70% x 20% of bitcoin. Like I said before, there is a possibility eth will be 0.3 btc in few months and possibly hit 0.6 btc in few years as eth holds 99% of dapps projects and alike and that is where the world is going.
Maybe you are right.
Although it should be borne in mind that many of these dapps don't yet have enough users and they will not, because the projects that created it will die. Will new dapps be created to replace the dead? Will it be on the ether blockchain? In addition, scam activity has a great press on ethereum.
It is hard to believe in 0.3 BTC even for a year.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some suggestions on unique Altcoins to research on on: May 29, 2019, 06:16:22 AM
It seems to me that it would be a mistake for you to find an answer to such a question from other people. For different people, innovative ideas may seem different. It depends on what is the knowledge of each person. Only you can choose what suits you, what you like, based on your world view and knowledge.
Therefore, if you go in search of projects with a good idea, you better look for it yourself. Otherwise, you will see tips that do not suit you. In addition, you risk falling under the influence of stakeholders promoting what they need.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PoW] [PoS] VEIL - Privacy without compromise on: May 28, 2019, 01:49:15 PM
I will be on the move a lot and my Mac doesn't have much of storage left right now so is there any plan for you guys to release a lite version of the wallet that doesn't require us to synch to the network?

Hey Cheesy

Yeah storage is an issue, ofcourse the dev's will be take care of the blockchain size Cheesy At this moment its not a major thing, at least, not as a bug. But for sure its on the roadmap!

I would be happy if the prune function worked. Are there any specific deadlines for the implementation of this option?
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing when to sell off your crypto investment on: May 28, 2019, 01:40:52 PM
When I am buying something i always set up a point where I am going to sell my bag. having such plan can prevent FOMO, because you know, where to sell 50% of position and where to sell all tokens
This is called a trading/investment plan. Before you any trade, you need to make a plan for all price change scenarios. Those who trade without a strategy are in most cases doomed to failure.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining ETH is now no profit on: May 28, 2019, 01:14:33 PM
That's true I actually didn't know Ethereum halved their block rewards in januari this year, I just looked it up, and yes that makes a huge difference.
So the only people who are mining this are people with super low electricity costs or people who think Ethereum is going to reach a better price again.
Personally I definitely think Ethereum is undervalued at the moment especially with the rewards that halved but that's just my opinion.

When eth hit $1400, block reward was 5 eth, now as the block reward was reduced to 2 eth, if you think about, eth can reach 60% more than $1400 if bitcoin reaches 20k again, so $1400 + $840 = $2240 but I do believe eth can reach higher than this, if btc hits $20k again then eth will be around $3k by that time, 10 times higher than now.
Unfortunately, your calculations may be incorrect. Bitcoin is growing at the expense of altcoins. Ethereum does not follow BTC as we would like. There are many tokens (including scam) that take off money from ether, thus ETH ATH should not be expected anytime soon.
So, if mining, then you need to achieve maximum efficiency now. The threshold of 10 c still allows mining to continue in some countries.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Coins under $50 Million Market Cap? on: May 28, 2019, 11:28:56 AM
For now I recommend DROP from Dropil for coins with a market under $ 50M. Dropil has a good project with a product that continues to grow. If you are a DROP holder, you can put it on Dropil DEX to make a profit every 15 days. Dropil has also relese signal arbitration, web wallet and the latest trading bot.
Yes, this token makes a profit regularly. But the price is 10 times less than the first six months after listing. This is an inflation asset. It will take many years to compensate investors for losses from their Dropil DEX.
Although, I hope, the price will be restored later.
