125  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: PayPal for BTC Exchanger on: February 19, 2012, 07:13:03 PM
You will have a chance to see how it goes, as soon as I get my first customer which shouldnt take very long considering that my service is dream for scammers right?Smiley

Are you willing to send first, at least, to members with good rep..?

Ok, I want to trade with you. I will send you $10,000 via PayPal (once I receive my winnings from the Nigerian lottery I apparently won), and once I receive the bitcoins, I will tell PayPal I never received the bitcoins and want my money back.

Send me a PM if you want to trade.

I despise scammers and trolls alike..

127  Other / Off-topic / Re: Silver - I have no idea what I'm doing.. on: February 18, 2012, 01:01:12 AM

So is APMEX the safest bet, or are there any other reliable sources that dont charge ridiculous amounts over spot..?
128  Economy / Goods / [WTB] Silver 1 oz Bars on: February 17, 2012, 10:18:26 PM

I'm planning to buy a couple of silver bars, I found these on ebay but the price is way below APMEX or any other exchange, why..?

I really like the design of those, and if there's no con against, for example, an APMEX year of the dragon bar, I would like to start a collection with those..
131  Other / Off-topic / Re: [ANN]Legal complaint against bitcoinica.com on: February 16, 2012, 11:36:52 PM
If you are going to backstab the community to get rid of competitors, why make it public in this forum..? This is a really lame move in every sense..
132  Economy / Lending / Re: *****************SCAM ALERT***************** on: February 16, 2012, 10:42:05 PM
Why not just deactivate the account and force a password reset through email confirmation..
133  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for 20 BTC Short-Term Loan on: February 16, 2012, 10:37:51 PM
Why people come and ask for a somehow high amount of BTC without rep and with new accounts..

do they really believe lenders are that stupid..?
134  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have a bad feeling this drop will be much worse than you guys are expecting on: February 16, 2012, 09:35:07 PM
I have no idea what I am talking about by the way.

Worry not, you know more than OP..
135  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] REOPENED 5970's of any brand. on: February 11, 2012, 02:33:18 AM
Yeah, I know.. He had pics, and someone whom I traded with vouched for him, so I went ahead. It was foolish, but it's too late to do anything about it. Tongue
So I am looking again for 5970s.

Damn.. Good luck and good hunting..
136  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Random Shut Down? Need more power? on: February 11, 2012, 02:25:16 AM

Rosewill is junk. A so-called 1000W Rosewill power supply *cannot* provide 1000W, not even close.
Do yourself a favor and get yourself a 750W or an 850W Corsair power supply, these are typically $99 and $119, respectively, if you shop around a little bit. Make sure you get a power supply with a SINGLE +12V rail. There are 4-rail or even 6-rail power supplies out there, where each rail is so weak that you will run into problems (hello, Antec!). I've been burned by multi-rail power supplies before and will never again buy a multi-rail power supply.

Rosewill is definitely not junk..

And Antec distributing the power more or less equally depending on its category thru all rails is done for the good, you just got to read how is the power being distributed and arrange your setup following that info.. Putting all your cards in one rail is risky, doesn't matter how much extra wattage the PSU got left..

I agree with the Corsair [or Seasonic for that matter, they manufacture it for Corsair], great PSUs..

If those cards are not plugged to any monitors, or using dummy plugs at least, they won't be detected; that is probably your problem..
138  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Mixed AMD/ATI and nVidia GPUs on same board? on: February 11, 2012, 02:06:21 AM
Hi all,
My current system is built on an EVGA X58 SLI FTW3 (This one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188065) mobo and is running a GTX480 water cooled card.
I'm getting into mining, and know I'll need to switch over to AMD cards to be worth anything.
My question is this: Can I keep my GTX480 and add another card just for mining? If I do, it'll be either a Radeon 5970 or 7970.
The new card will most likely be watercooled as well.
Is this possible? More importantly, is it advisable?
TIA
-Elmojo

Not only possible but the best way to mine if your mining PC is the same as your daily-use personal one..
139  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: at what point is a person considered a "respectable" miner? on: February 11, 2012, 02:04:55 AM

The repectable miner is the one that can get the most hashing power for the least wattage and make it stable enough to run it without hiccups; that person deserves respect..
