cool thanks i started with 20k to see if it works.
syncing lasted one week :O
can i shut down my Laptop during staking?

Your wallet needs to be running (if you can not / do not want to/ keep it up and running qall the time, buy VPS to run it there)

And with 20k it will take you ages. try with at least 100k (takes few days up to a week if not mistaken)

For me with 200k took me 3-4 days to receive my first stake. with 10m+ you get every day stakes...
This is way better Wink
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 1337 [MANDATORY UPDATE] 20.89% APR | POS ONLY on: December 01, 2017, 09:50:44 AM
expected time to earn reward is 98 days.. that changes during the day very often.
how come? thanks Smiley

This means you have small amount of coins.
The change comes depending how many wallets are stacking and how many coins...
It changes as some send coins, or turn off wallets. you need to run the wallet 24/7 and not to move them, else you will need some hours to start stacking again Wink
123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can maths help you win in gambling ? on: December 01, 2017, 09:48:37 AM
I think it helps with roulette a bit. Of course it depends on luck but I'm talking only about the "help". Also I think if you are a math person you have better options of being a good poker player.  Smiley

Well it really boils down to what game you're going to use math on. It certainly won't help you on games that's purely luck reliant like dice and slots. Aside from calculating the money you're going to burn of course.
Yes gambling is far from calculating and math is not an option when we play gambling. Gambling games rely solely on luck and that is a matter of course. If you see anyone saying that he can win the gambling with the help of mathematical calculations then it is a lie !! do not believe and use your mind!

So you want to tell me that all casino owners are the luckiest people on the planet, as they allays win!
You are sooo wrong.. you say "gambling is pure luck" then "use your brain"...
What you mean? That you can use your brain to be lucky?!?!?

All games of chance are 100% pure math, so casino owners are using math in order to win 100% guarantee.
There is no luck in this.
If you know what math is and how to use it, then it will help you, if you don't => nothing will help you.

If math’s is that great that it can tell future with hundred percent accuracy then why you don’t just gamble and win every bet. This way you will become the world's richest person in no time, believe me.

As far as the owners of the casino or gambling websites are concerned, they are the owner which means they can win all the games they play as that is their yard. They are the king of that Empire. However I don't think they gamble and nothing can predict luck or future.

Look I said you will win a lotto (6 of 49) if you place all ~14mil combinations. 100% chance of hitting the JP. the problem is that the JP is smaller then the money you will put into the bet, so you will lose money, but you will hit the JP. and there is no luck in the world that will and can change this outcome. This is pure math.
You calculate and you see, to have a 100% chance of hitting the JP you need ~14mil tix, then you see how much is 1 tix and if the JP is bigger you will make money, if not you lose money hitting the JP.
But here no luck can change the outcome...
That was my point. no matter how lucky or unlucky you are you can hit the JP using math, but the question is will it be worth it?
most casinos use math to calculate this and to know what JP to put, so they never lose money.
That is why it is hard to beat real casino if you play there, as they have modified the rules, so they allays win.
And again this is all math and no luck. Else it will mean the casino owners can be only people who are lucky and if you not lucky you never can be casino owner, as there is no casino owner that have gone broke (from running casino properly).

Hello

I have noticed that when I use CPU to generate keys I get keys and they are input into a file, but when GPU is used I get 2 hashes and nothing is written into the file...
why is that?
Any suggestions?
Am I doing something wrong or is this the normal output?

It is how much have you staked so far. (like the shares you get for mining in a pool)

What does 40% donation means?

This means 40% of the total supply will go to donors...
This mean: if you donate you will have portion of this 40% given to you for the donation you have made...
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why buy WAVES? on: November 28, 2017, 12:23:26 PM
wondering if this waves is dead?

I do not see much movement in there and most coins are swapping for eth platform... so that means the dex does not work...

Please let me know if this is true or not.
I am still thinking of buying few waves, but I am not sure it is such a good idea, now that developers migrate to other platforms, as there is not much movement and market...

when open airdrop round 2 sir  Huh

It is open now and being completed now as we speak I believe. You had to have 1700 from previous round airdrop to compete (ie not move or if you got 300 add 1400 to stack) and this enables you for rd 2. I have gotten my rd 2 now and total is 3700. Thanks a bunch devs I hodl even longer now. Btw dev update would be nice too plz n ty Smiley
Good for you. However there is many ppl that still didn't receive the second airdrop, even tho we have the 1700 eBIT on wallet waiting for this airdrop to happen for weeks now. This isn't really a good sign at all.

Well it takes time to send to everyone.
Also the deadline was 30th, so there is still some time...
So if you stop sending fud, you will receive it soon Wink
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bit Coin is a Ponzi Scheme on: November 27, 2017, 10:31:15 AM
The valid currency USD as you have termed is in its last stage as global reserve currency. Its an inflation currency. It is being printed unlimited and sent for circulation.USD just gained its importance after OPEC countries decided to sell crude oil only for USD.Otherwise, this so called valid currency would have been nothing.

Bitcoin is not a ponzi scheme. It has some unique features for which it gets the trust of people world wide. Its true that it has given huge profits to its early adopters. But it is not now in its end phase.Just it has crossed its initial eight years and yet,a long journey is to go.Today's investors will get their returns tomorrow.

If you believe this, you don't understand cryptocurrencies. By definition, they're set out to die eventually. The amount of coins that can be produced is limited, and if you consider that many things result in frozen coins (e.g. deleting your wallet), it's only logical that after all coins have been made, the number can only go down, which will eventually reach critical levels and make the whole system impractical. That's the equivalent of the ultimate fate of the universe for a crypto, and with IRL money that doesn't happen because you can always print more. That doesn't matter much, because in addition to being inherently finite, it's also a speculative bubble that will burst; proof is how unstable it is when reacting to supply/demand (e.g. that one time weeks ago when it dropped $2k because some people shilled another coin).

Well, I like what you have done. Hope this is all a joke to trigger people to write to you, as if you really think this, it is sad...

You do know that 1 BTC is divided into 100mil satoshi.

So if we take 1 satoshi to be 1cent, then with 20mil BTC (if we think there are 1mil lost) this makes 20 trillion dollar equivalent from btc...

The transaction to send USD from europe to us takes week (up to 10 days) and costs way more then $20....
and if you are not in a hurry you cans end it for 7cents (I have done this few times, takes no longer then a day to go)...

It's just the 26th, waiting for the 3rd airdrop but its optional. Does it mean that they may or may not give the airdrop this time?

November 21st-30th Optional 3rd Airdrop

Hmmm on the OP it reads: 1st round closed, soon to open second.

Why are ppl who say they didn't get 2nd round? I got round 1 like last week...

And now you say you want round 3...
So am I missing something, or who ever got the first round is automatically enrolled for the rest?

135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can maths help you win in gambling ? on: November 24, 2017, 01:56:19 PM
This is sort of an odd question, and I haven't read people stating this in this thread, which is the correct answer.

Math of course can help you improve your chances of winning.  The problem is, even though you improve your chance, it still not a positive % that you are going to win, or the expected value is still negative, meaning, the more you play the more likely you are to lose.  But yes, Math absolutely improves your chances of winning.
Math’s is just the subject which can help you in calculating profits and losses but it cannot help you in winning the game and that too in gambling. Gambling as we all know is a gem which is totally dependent on luck and I really don’t believe that there is any connection between luck and mathematics, Lol. Mathematics is just there to tell you that you are going in loss.

Well you could use math to calculate the odds.
Based on the odds of winning you can calculate (again math) how much and when to bet in order to optimize win.

So yeah if you know math and you know how to use it, it will help you win!
If you do not understand it => then you are doomed to never win...

This is all you need. In fact if you are able to calculate when to bet and how much to bet you can win in any game.

Let's say you toss a coin.
You got only two options heads or tails.
so it will monitor and tell you when to bet.
As for the first toss to be hears (or tails) is 50% it will tell you to bet 0.
Second time to toss heads again has fallen to 25% and so on until you decide you are ok to bet.
So if you say it is only luck, and you are totally unlucky, you can set this to be lower then 1%.
So once you hit that odds you make a bet and you win, if not you can then double your bet and so on until you win, as by then the possibility will get insane low (better chance to be killed by alien bacteria that has just arrived from a meteoroid that has just landed on the other side of the platen in the next 5 seconds...

So no matter how unlucky you are math can help you win in any game of chance, you just need to understand the math and know how to use it.

140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can maths help you win in gambling ? on: November 21, 2017, 09:15:38 AM
I've ever read history that 1 gambler able win $ 250.000 with math , maybe at range 1900++
It's amazing right ? but for this digital era, it's quite difficult to make it happen since the system getting complicated from time to time
Everyone with little dose of luck and very large bankroll can do that. Very large bets are required to win 250000$, theoretically you can put million dollars and roll dice on 1.25X and there you go - 250000$. Math? No, he could have lost. He was lucky enough to roll his numbers.
Behind that story is probably link to casino or perhaps referral link  Cheesy

Maths can help you calculate your wins and also with a personal audit f your gambling life but it will not make you win games because you are good with numbers, NO! it doesn't work that way and so it is best if you can plan and manage your personal life and emotions before embarking on the journey of gambling.
i think yes calculation can be helpful but not in all formates of gambling, For example in dice games we can only depend on our luck there our calculation will be useless, It cannot help us there to increase the chances of winning the bit. But still in some gambling games like in sports betting we have some chances to use calculation and increase the chances of making money in gambling.

You are completely wrong!
Math does help you, as you can calculate the odds of winning and losing.
If you could do that, then you could skip the bets that have 90% chance of losing and bet on the odds 90% chance of winning.
If you get like this you will be winning thus math makes you win in gambling...

Yes the casino does not like you to win, so they tell you it is all luck, so you are brainwashed and think that.
In fact card counting is forbidden in casinos, as this is pure math that helps you win even when you got no luck at all.
That is why you can beat BJ game made for fun, but you can not beat the casino, as they use math to make it impossible to win, no matter how "lucky" you are...
This is the way it works.

As for the 250k win -> we need more info how exactly did he won this amount. was it one time bet or was it like 20hrs of betting, or 30 days of betting.

I remember watching documentary on casino audit and security and the chief of security said: "we got many types of gamblers.
All are different.
I remember once on New Year's eve one guy came out of noware put a briefcase of 1mil in it.
Put it on red and won.
We never seen him before and didn't see him up till next year.
He came again and repeated what he did last year - he lost.
We never seen him again."

This was a lucky guy. Risked 1mil and had a free loan of 1mil for a year, then returned it Wink
There was no math in there, but pure luck and he won 1mil in a single bet with odds of 47.3684%

So to show you how does the math work:

In BJ:
You count cards. On a fresh deck you start from 0 and add 1 once you see color card (has value of 10, J, Q, K, A) or subtract 1 if it has a number (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9).
Once the count is 16+ it is considered hot  deck.
So when you start counting you do not bet until the deck is HOT.
Once it gets HOT you start betting. then the chance to win is considerably bigger then if you start from beginning.
You should not stop to count. Once the deck cools you should stop betting until the deck gets hot again.

This is how the card counting works.
There is no Rainman needs in order to do it. You do not have to be Monk to do it.
Just need to know how to count to 30 or so and that is it.

What casino does in order to stop you from winning:
1. does not allow you to count the cards.
2. does not allow you to sit and not bet until the deck is hot.
3. stops you if you bet small (because of 2) while the deck is cold and bet big once the deck is hot -> this will trigger the security to ask you to leave.
4. adds 6 decks (or more), making it harder for counting.
5. adds a cut card - the game will stop once the cut cards is next, so you do not use the hole set of cards, just a portion. This makes the counting harder, as you do not know how many big and small cards are in the playable deck.
6. reduces the payout odds in order to reduce the winnings if you count and/or got lucky.
7. other manipulations of the cards in order to not allow you to win.
8. min and max bet - cuts the ability to win back your loss

The roulette has it's otehr sparks:
1. you can not sit and watch it turn if no bets are placed.
2. you have a min and max bet to limit you from using unlimited increments in order to win your loss.
3. Have one 0 in EU and a second 00 in US, just so the casino has better edge (all maths). So instead of having 50-50 chance for the black/red you have 47.36% in EU and 46.1538% in US.
4. some more limitation like electronics (even on physical tables) to manipulate the output to contradict you if you start winning too much.

The slots are killers:
They just use one of the lowest payout odds in the casino.
They are used to take the money of people, yet they are set to pay BIG wins to few in order to attract more ppl to play them.

and so on and so on.

Remember in you play in a casino you are going to lose, as the maths show that and there is no casino that works in loss.
If you play on a game of chance that is made just for fun (has none of the limitation of the casino), they math will make you win no matter how unlucky you are...
