121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what are the common challenges for bitcoin user? on: April 22, 2018, 03:43:00 PM
Average Internet user might have problems at the beginning with using Bitcoin properly. There are many guides on the Internet but some people still don't understand how they should keep their bitcoins safe. Bitcoin is accepted in many online shops so this isn't a problem anymore. Sometimes transaction fees are extremely high because the whole network is overloaded. This can't be easily solved so it will be a huge challenge for us and Bitcoin developers.
122  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your experience with FOMO (fear of missing out) on: April 22, 2018, 03:06:30 PM
I buy Bitcoin not because I am afraid that it will be too late for me in the future but because I am interested in it. I spend a lot of time on reading about Bitcoin. My family don't get it at all, they want me to help them but they are not really interested in it. I had a big problem when Bitcoin Cash price was increasing. I bought some of it and lost some money so I have a little experience with FOMO. Nothing to be ashamed of. Many people reacted the same as me.
123  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Questionable wealth because of Crypto on: April 22, 2018, 02:01:07 PM
Some governments still associate Bitcoin investors with money laundering. I understand it because they should know that Bitcoin is not really anonymous and people switched to some other cryptocurrencies which offer much higher anonymity. There should not be any problem if you always pay your taxes from Bitcoin income like trading or mining. Both of these activities are easy to prove. Cryptocurrencies became so popular that nobody should be surprised that you earn from them.
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing to Bitcoin is not that easy on: April 21, 2018, 09:09:07 PM
It took me some time before I started to understand some basic stuff. There are a lot of misleading information, especially about wallets. I didn't know which one I should choose but finally I decided to use Bitcoin Core because I didn't have to depend on anyone and then I decided to switch to a hardware wallet which was much easier to use and didn't have to synchronise with the whole blockchain all the time. Investors should always do some research before buying something.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is owning bitcoin a crime? on: April 21, 2018, 07:22:47 PM
Why would we even consider owning Bitcoin as something illegal? Because it brings more freedom and anonymity. That's ridiculous. Some governments are doing their best to discourage people from buying and using Bitcoin but fortunately their efforts are vain. Young people understand why they should use cryptocurrencies. Let's hope that they will be adapted soon. Some countries have already banned Bitcoin and people still use it because it is impossible to track them.
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Buying and Holding the only way? on: April 21, 2018, 05:53:01 PM
Mining is only profitable if you are going to run a large mining farm. In other case it doesn't pay off these days because Bitcoin price had been increasing a lot in the past months. it was much more profitable to buy cryptocurrencies instead of trading or mining. Holding is the best way for people who are not into mining and trading. Both of these activities require some knowledge which might be not easy to get. It depends on you which one you will choose. Do you want to earn a lot of money in a short period of time or have a stable guaranteed income?
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as new hope for humanity on: April 21, 2018, 04:25:35 PM
Bitcoin is not only a chance for some people to become rich but also it can help us to prevent another world's crisis from happening. I hope that people will finally understand that giving away money won't solve anything. In fact, it makes things worse over a time. I am afraid that people won't understand how Bitcoin works and that's why it might take years before we will switch to cryptocurrencies. Using Bitcoin is easy as long as you try to understand it. Some people are too ignorant about things that should be important to them.
128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a better payment system? on: April 20, 2018, 11:53:57 AM
It depends on the use case. If you use normal Bitcoin transaction then it should take 10 minutes for a transaction to get through the assuming that network is working without any problems and the block aren't filled. Lightning Network will allow Bitcoin to become every day currency. The more channels are opened, the more reliable the whole system will be. I'm tired of high fees of international bank transfers and some other limitations that don't exist in Bitcoin.
129  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could bitcoin reach 100.000$ ? on: April 20, 2018, 11:05:07 AM
I would not take these kind of predictions seriously. It's a good thing that more and more famous people are getting positive about Bitcoin. Cryptocurrencies will become more popular and expensive in the future, but why all of these who are trying to predict future Bitcoin price focus only on it. Why not talk about level of adoption, how would ordinary people use Bitcoin and so on? Don't let money eat you.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Holding Bitcoin affect the stocks on: April 20, 2018, 10:46:01 AM
I don't think that holding can affect much stock prices, but Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies might be able to do it. Trading cryptocurrencies is becoming more and more popular and profitable. This might force stock market investors to decide that they sell their stocks and buy crypto instead. If someone said something like this 2 years ago then he would be laughed at. Now the situation has changed and people take crypto more seriously.
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: great believers that bitcoin will survive?! on: April 20, 2018, 10:23:16 AM
There is nothing to believe in because there is no reason why it would not survive. Some government authorities are in favour of Bitcoin and try to attract more investors to trade Bitcoin and build mining farms in their country. More and more people are getting into Bitcoin, this will make getting rid of it more difficult. There are so many miners and nodes that we don't have to worry about security of the network.
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Ever Be Shutdown? on: April 20, 2018, 10:11:40 AM
bitcoin can only be used by connecting through the internet network, the loss of internet network in the world will make all kinds of digital currency extinct because of the factors supporting the use of digital currency is the internet network itself.

Restricting Internet access for every person 8n the world would be disastrous these days. A lot of services and data needs Internet access in order to be used. Online banking also works thanks to the Internet. There are not enough physical places when you can make a bank transfer. It would cause a lot of fuss and panic among banks clients. I would still choose Bitcoin though.
133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you store your 24 word phrase? on: April 19, 2018, 02:35:29 PM
It's common thing to see people storing their seed in a place where it could be easily noticed. I wouldn't advise anyone to put their seed in bank's vault. Why would you give them responsibility of keeping your money safe again. You can keep your seed anywhere as long as you somehow encrypt it. Using a passphrase (25th word) is important but it won't be enough to stop someone who knows that you own a lot of bitcoins.
134  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advice for a crypto beginner? on: April 19, 2018, 12:51:14 PM
r/btc is full of people who support only Bitcoin Cash. R/Bitcoin is the rest. I won't tell you more because some people might start arguing with me. You should see it in your own. It looks like you are into Ethereum. Not a bad choice, it has a huge potential to increase in value. You could spend some of ETH to buy some other popular altcoins or Bitcoin. It will be much safer for you especially that you have quite a lot money in crypto.
135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung is going to support bitcoin on: April 19, 2018, 12:32:20 PM
It would be great to see Samsung designing and manufacturing Bitcoin mining machines. Competition is always good, Samsung has the chance to beat Bitmain or at least force it to release something new. Samsung is South Korea company where cryptocurrencies are legal and the whole market is constantly growing there. I wouldn't be surprised if they actually we're into it.
136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Discouraged with Bitcoin? on: April 18, 2018, 04:42:14 PM
This thread was created 4 months ago but my opinion was the same. I wasn't and I won't be discouraged with Bitcoin. Transaction fees are not a problem now. It looks like the spam attack on Bitcoin network has ended and now we can enjoy low fees. Now even big fees are not a problem if you have a Lightning Network channel opened. The fees there are even less 1 cent.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be more profitable in the upcoming years? on: April 18, 2018, 09:57:24 AM
Bitcoin is already profitable and there is no reason for it to change. A lot of companies are becoming more and more popular. Large investors means large profits. Mining is going to be still profitable but the problem is hardware which gets outdated after some time.  Mining difficulty will continue to rise so we will have to develop new machines which will secure the network.
138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Positive News about Bitcoin on: April 18, 2018, 09:13:08 AM
There are many news which might have positive impact on Bitcoin price. I am hyped because Lightning Network is slowly being used by more and more people which means that it will be more efficient and usable. Right now some payments may fail because of lack of funds deposited to the network. It is a matter of time before it will work without any problems.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can the online Casino industry help Bitcoin? on: April 18, 2018, 07:54:15 AM
Gambling industry will definitely take interest in Bitcoin once governments regulate it. Gambling is banned in some countries or heavily regulated. There are a lot of gamblers all around the world. The demand for this kind of service will be huge. The only b problem might be lack of knowledge about cryptocurrencies.
140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will increase Bitcoin adoption the most? on: April 18, 2018, 07:31:19 AM
It's really difficult to tell what will boost Bitcoin adoption. I think that if large companies adapt Bitcoin and it's Lightning Network then definitely people will start to use it. Using Bitcoin is quite easy especially if you use web or mobile wallets. They are not secure but they are perfect for small transactions.
