121  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WILL CRYPTO BOOM AGAIN? on: November 21, 2019, 10:53:17 AM
Sure crypto will boom again, never erase that belief in your mind as crypto has struggle a lot of times but recovered and still here.
The entire marketcap of crypto is over $200 billion, so basically we can consider that as a big money already playing in the market.

just be patient, its just a matter of time and everything will be back to normal.

Now what's the normal market status?

This depends on what you believe, for me the normal market is a bullish market where not only bitcoin has a chance to grow but altcoins as well.

if we look in the past:

December 2017:

ETH price was over $1200

Neo price was over $130

and look at the current price:

ETH price is $180

Neo price is $12

Do you believe that someday Neo will be priced over $ 130 again? I do not believe!

People need to be very careful with altcoins.

Look at Bitcoin, in December 2017 it reached $19000 and today it is at $8000 and that's not far from $19000. Bitcoin has a chance to return and surpass $19,000

Agree. There's no guarantee alts will rise if btc does and vice versa just won't happen. BTC is by far the safest investment right now.
122  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best place to start learning about crypto? on: November 20, 2019, 11:15:12 AM
1. Basic about crypto (articles, books, crypto education sites)
2. Trading Simulators (like Altcoin Fantasy, i thin etoro also offers one) + trading tools for beginners (get familiar with charts, portfolio management, participating in aidrops etc.)
3. Start with small money (which you can afford to lose)
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Altcoins ever come back again on: November 20, 2019, 11:10:26 AM
Impossible to say. My best guess is altcoin seasons's coming when btc is going to skyrocket next time, before definitely no. Just an opinion tho
124  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to learn bitcoin trading? on: November 20, 2019, 11:09:08 AM
For start get some basic knowledge about cryptocurrencies at different sites (education).
Read forums and be up to date with news every day.
Start trading with simulators and then get your hands dirty with small money at one of preferred exchanges (binance). It's a way of life.
125  Economy / Exchanges / Binance adding fiat on: November 20, 2019, 11:06:26 AM
''The direct fiat-to-crypto trading facility was first revealed by Binance CEO Changpeng "CZ" Zhao on Oct. 21. In a recent Twitter ask-me-anything (AMA) session, CZ said that adding fiat on-ramps around the world is “very important for lowering the barrier to entry” and that users can expect “more pairs very soon.”
Thoughts?

I am not a fan of reading books so I watch visual content especially YouTube videos. So as a beginner I advise you to follow the episodes of this channel ----> aantonop - YouTube.
This man will teach you the basics through which you can learn "How bitcoin works" and then you can read some books[1] or participate in the discussions of this forum.

 - Mastering Bitcoin for Starters
 - Bitcoin From Beginner To Expert
 - Bitcoin For Dummies
Will definitely look into it, thank 4 the link (i also prefer video content over books/reading articles)

If you are aware of what is crypto currencies, now want to start trading crypto currency!

1) You can learn about trading in general first and learn about crypto trading which is available as e books.

2) Enter trading simulators and try to trade from yourself and apply the strategies you have learned.

3) Now move to real exchange but with very small capital then do the same things and get the real life experience.

Now you are ready to start your crypto trading career.
Simulators are definetely a way to go together with other trading tools for starters/beginners.
Altcoin Fantasy is my favorite simulator and i prefer Newscrypto.io platform regarding tools.
All the best trading today!

Even though there are thousands of articles, videos and websites about cryptocurrencies and trading, I think the best option is to learn from your experience and mistakes. You can gain basic knowledge from such sources but that's not enough. The key is to observe and analyze market situation every day. It is very wide-ranging stuff and time is needed to feel comfortable in it.
Agree, experience is essential. I've been trading for quite some time now but i still don't feel comfortable.

Trading in cryptocurrency is a lot easier, but this thing needs a lot of practice. all of the time you will faced trials and errors. you don't need to use trading bots in your first few days of trading because this is some critical time if to learn it the hard way until you are done trading manually, then you decide if you want to contnue or not.

like any other investment method, trading requires you to have some necessary basic knowledge to start. that's why in this community we have a certain board called trading discussion. you can learn all you need there and don't be shy to ask them for anything you want to  know. lastly, remember don't use all of your money, only spend what you can afford to lose.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=8.0
Cool advice. As a beginner just entering the game i'll definitely stick to don't use all of your money, only spend what you can afford to lose.

In my opinion, the first thing you need to learn is how to filter information that is available to you. There is a plethora of videos, articles and posts out there on trading, but only a handful of them would be useful to you. But as a newbie, it's difficult to know which information is relevant and which isn't. You may have to depend on recommendations and reputation of those offering the information both on this forum and on external websites.
You build on knowledge and become familiar with terms and indicators.
Then you start practicing, demo is the safest means of practice for newbies to trading.
With demo you meant sites like Altcoin Fantasy?

For a newbie, you should start pondering what they mean when they say buy low and sell high. And then observe the charts what is happening all day. This may not have more information for you but once you have some btc to use then you can buy USDT and then if the BTC dips lower you can buy BTC thru that USDT. Once BTC rise again, try converting it to USDT.  You can do this over and over til you start thinking how to foresee what could happen in the next few days. Then you read the wall observer thread and see thier indicators which you might wanna learn as well.
Thank you! Getting 'hands dirty' is definitely a way to go. What do you think about trading tools which some of the platforms offer?
With trading tools i meant tools such: arbitrage, coin tracker (portfolio), whale alert?
Thank you for help!

Often wonder how would approach trading and learning crypto if i started from the begining.
Would probably grab a book/start reading this forum. What about you?

I do not think any book can teach you crypto trading. If i were you, i would definitely search some basic knowledge videos about trading. It will be better if you can find a complete free video course of crypto trading.
Also i will try to get some knowledge from this forum specially the trading and speculation section.
Thank for advice. I'm not a newbie but often think of how would i start learning from the begining if i had to. Complete video course is the best guess.
133  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How did you start trading? on: November 18, 2019, 04:08:32 PM
Brother brought me in. He got into crypto back in 2014 and i can remember when he first told me about BTC and how he's going to make some big bucks with it.
Started learning about crypto on forums/yt and then decided to make first trade, rest is history...

135  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to profit from crypto arbitrage trading on: November 18, 2019, 04:03:31 PM
It was much easier to profit from arbitrage back in 2016 than it is today. There are multiple sites which offer bots to do it and also some sites which tools (Newscrypto arbitrage tool).
Exchange liquidity is a factor which isn't covered enough in this article and is very important.
136  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 mistakes every crypto trader should avoid on: November 18, 2019, 03:57:16 PM
Agree. The point is everyone should take an education course or at least know the basics before getting into trading. FOMO is a big problem and can totally relate to it since i started trading in January 2018 and burned up Cheesy
137  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Altcoins or Bitcoin? on: November 18, 2019, 03:51:33 PM
Never put all the eggs in the same basket. Would recommend to 75%BTC and 25% Alts which are at the top 50 on cmc. Be sure to investigate the alts thoroughly before investing in them. My portfolio: BTC, XLM, XRP, NEO, NWC...
138  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WILL CRYPTO BOOM AGAIN? on: November 18, 2019, 03:48:58 PM
I'm also expecting a boom again in the crypto market sooner or later. In the past 2 years bitcoin and other altcoins didn't get a huge increase in prices because of alot of problems and that's kinda sucks for people whos just joined and invested in bitcoin in the past 2 years. I'd believe that something great will happen in the next bitcoin halving and the price will increase again. We just need to hodl and be a little bit patient.
Agree. It's going to boom sooner or later and halving is my best guess. Fingers crossed!
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Altcoins ever come back again on: November 15, 2019, 02:28:47 PM
Sure they are. 'Cryptomania' has just begun...
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ANALYST: ALTCOIN SEASON has almost arrived on: November 15, 2019, 02:27:26 PM
Everyone hopes altcoin can come back in a positive trend but I think it will happen when bitcoin is half a day running so that with the rise of bitcoin it will definitely be able to make altcoin also increase later, but it's certainly not easy to predict what will happen to digital currencies in the future. Me, you and all of us will hope for the best.
BTC/alt direct proportional relationship is likely to happen. Alts aren't going nowhere till btc moves, halving is my best guess for happening.
