121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decided to invest more into crypto on: November 08, 2017, 03:13:14 AM
I would check out (i have an interest in) LTC, ETH, DASH, XMR, ETC, BCN, DOGE, BCC, and EMC. All great teams, whitepapers, they are solving problems, and have potential. But still waiting for the great ALT rocket to shoot back up post fork. We shall see, but it i'm pretty bullish on the ALT side and am looking forward to the up & up.

130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoin are you going to invest in now? on: November 07, 2017, 01:35:06 PM
Hi,

We all know the fork is going to happen very soon and the alternative coins are at their lowest price. I want to invest a small amount into some of the coins but not sure which ones. So my question is what are you going to invest in or have recently invested in? And how much?

I'm looking at one or two of following:

Waves
Xtrabytes
Komodo
Walton

Can't make up my mind yet. Maybe you can help me.

Cheers

I'm curious, I know there are a lot of traders on this forum.

But

1. How many of you folks are investing in and holding altcoins?

and

2. Which ones are they?

I am new to trading can you guys explain or guide me how to and when to invest in alt coins or btc to make good profit and experience ?

Its just about doing your due diligence and looking at it through the lens of how institutional investors review traditional startups. Solving a problem? Is it a solution? Niche? Good team? Good advisors? product? sweat equity? own equity? bootstrapping? etc. Doing this will allow you to cut out 95% of the shit. From then on you just need to see what the ICO's (post crowdsale) burn rate will be and if the founders are competent.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes you invest in an ICO on: November 07, 2017, 01:21:29 PM
We all know that before investing we try to see the whitepaper, the team, the website quality, the idea, the social presence..

but in the end of the day, what makes you want to invest in a project?

What is the ticking edge for you?

134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to participate in ICO's? on: November 07, 2017, 01:17:24 PM
Right now there are many ICOs coming out, is it really safe to participate in any of it and spend that much? In participating ICOs I have high hopes that these coins could be the next Bitcoin or other currencies that are really going up in the market.

There's a lot of new coin or token coming almost everyday and i experienced that some of them are having no value until now. So I'm asking now for me to determine next time the good one so that my exerted efforts to join them will not be wasted. Thank you. Hehehe

I am a person that gains profit from investing in ICOs but now I'm having second thoughts. I know some ICOs are potential scam so I am really picky to where I put my money.
Anyway, considering with what happened to Ethereum price and with the nearing Aigist 1, do you guys think that it will still be profitable to invest on ICOs mostly on ERC20 tokens and those accepting btc payments?
