Wow meditation and jiu jetsu are some of your technique to counter FOMO? By how? I mean how can you meditate properly if you saw your coin charts going up and up after you sold your coins? FOMO are common situation we saw when we trade specially for those coins that are being hype. For me I overcome FOMO in some situation by patiently studying the chart movement of a certain coin if I saw huge run up I sell cause I know there is also a some correction when there is a huge pump.

We can't blame other investors if they are losing confidence in Bitcoin specially those new investor who bought Bitcoin during its peak last year maybe they are tired of waiting when Bitcoin price me become bullish again but for those who invest since early year of Bitcoin they are still confident that Bitcoin may back and surpass it's all time high since this scenario was happened several times in Bitcoin in it's early years.

I'm a believer of etherium because of it's erc20 smart contract where many altcoins are using it and the rapid growth of ICO would make this coin more demandable. But lately it seems popularity of ETH become lesser and lesser where it almost losing it's stand at number 2 spot. XRp is getting close and this may not good for eth investors.

Of course not all coins will survive in this volatile and risk market. Only coins with solid projects and already adopted by some companies would existand those coins who have purely speculative projects will slowly vanish.

So far I try this strategy and it works. Selling some when your coins is in uptrend and wait to buy back when it fall lower than how much you sell. I'm not selling all of my coins so I will not miss when it's surge quickly just few by few to earn minimal amount in shirt period of time.

Bitcoin is still a low risk coin that every one must have though the profit return is not high as other altcoin, the risk is also lesser. Another coin I may recommend are eth xrp, cardano and eos this altcoin have strong potential to grow even higher in due time.

It is a very old technique for this year! From 17K to 5800 USD, Every time people keep saying buy now and hold! But a big number of investors are fed up now, everyone knows when the market goes down, the best time to buy has come! But by seeing such a huge down, investors don't want to invest again!
I don't think so, but for me current price to buy in Bitcoin has very low risk than to buy Bitcoin when it was at 19k$ where risk is already higher and as what we experienced how the market corrected after the huge break out last year. If I have some money to invest I will bought btc at it's current price and keep for long term hold. |

more time means more symphatisers to let ETF be approved and U.S. SEC are also still studying the stability of Bitcoin so they may not be in trouble once they approve the btc ETF and that would be a trend changing situation once ETF be approved. Expect huge pump for btc price. So far the postponement of ETF doesn't draw negative effect to market.

yes we are in the time of a BULL but this is not guarantee of anything, only speculation, of course that the BTC fell a lot, but even so for many countries the BTC is very expensive still
CBOE ETF once again postponed but it seems it doesn't affect negative to crypto market, instead Bitcoin slowly rise to 6.7k$ is this a sign that negative news was already absurb by the crypto market before and ETF postponement doesn't mind by investors. Are we now entering the bull season? I hope so and xrp are the one leading the run. |

I really don't want to turn these into an economics class but the both definition of what investments are clearly should settle the argument of whether BTC is truly an investment or not.
I agree that Bitcoin is an investment because it's value varies overtime depending on the demand and how much people would willing to buy it. It's good to know that more and more people are engaging in Bitcoin trading even it's price is very volatile |

I bought bitcoin when it was around $14,500 in January and I am still holding because I am not discouraged. I have great hope that bitcoin is going to increase in price and volume in some years to come.
I admire how courageous you are and fully believe that Bitcoin can recover it's price. But I suggest if you have some extra money try to buy Bitcoin at it's current price to lower your purchase average that is what I am doing . I keep holding and add some when market keeps dropping to lower my average buying price |

For more than half of the year where crypto market where still bearish it is not advisable to invest in crypto in my own opinion base on my experienced there are lot of ico with in this year and last quarter of 2017 which became successful and able to raised the target hardcap but when it became listed in exchange it's price was being affected by bearish market which drop even more than 80%. So for me better to invest in some stable coins than to invest in an ico.

I dis agree what the thread starter want to emphasize the three first example is way different from the fourth or the Bitcoin. As the first three represent physical ownership of things or items while Bitcoin is a digital currency and it only exist in internet world. The value could be created by people who patronizing an item or a coins and that is the law of demand and supply. While there are lot of buyer than seller of Bitcoin it's price may continue to go up or vice versa.

In the past few weeks, ETH has been falling, causing many people to be nervous. Some people sold their ETH at that time with the thought: "ETH is dead already."; "ETH will disappear." or "ETH will become a coin". And when ETH rose again they regretted "ETH has come back", "ETH will break in the next few months," "How stupid when I sell ETH." I wonder if they really love ETH, love this crypto market? Or is it just trending? Do they have enough knowledge, psychology here? What do you think about this?  Massive sell off of ETH was caused by some ICO company before where they are selling their eth that being accumulated during fhe ICO period like what EOS did when they take partways in ETH and create their own contract independently they sold all their eth which really affect the eth price but this might be temporary everyrhijg has an end once eth coins spread to more individuals its price may slowly grow again |

I would prefer bitcoin, etherium, XRP, cardano, nem for long term i have all of them but may average price iscway higher and even losing 80% of my total porftfolio but still I'm confident these coins can out perform their all time high price in due time.

Every day I see more and more people starting to feel hopeless with the current market situation because of uncertainty when prices will recover and end this fall. Even more and more traders are deciding to resign from trading and sell all of their assets but that makes the price even more falling.
panic sellers are most often those who are newbie in trading where they have no patience to wait when market recover but for those experience traders this is the opportunity to buy more as prices are very cheap. crypto market is very volatile and this is not fit for panic sellers and no patience investors. |

current price is a good entry price for bitcoin but maybe we have to wait some few weeks as we all aware the new the ETF application review may released soon and this may be tje price changing that every one are waitng. |

After huge sell off for the last few weeks we saw how altcoins price surge down while bitcoin even it falls it able to jold its ground at 6k+ level and it improves its crypto dominance by almost 57% the biggest percentage so far. this only reflect that bitcoin is still the majority priority of crypto investor. and its good to accumulate at this current level.

After the 2017 bullish run where bitcoin amd crypto currency become talk of the town all over the world many newbie investors bought vitcoin whenn it was at 19k level other lend money in banks just to buy bitcoins hoping for a quick profit but this is nit what happen when 2018 comes, where major correction happen and many sell in panic. therefore I suggest that invest only your excess money or you can afford to loss as market in crypto is very volatile.

dl it doesnt mean you keep it for ever it may depend on your target price, entry price and market condition as a whole if market seems going bearish sold your coins and find another good entry price and hold again until market recover.
