121  Economy / Economics / Re: Joseph Stiglitz: ‘We should shut down the cryptocurrencies’ on: May 06, 2019, 10:24:39 PM
Joseph Stiglitz, a Nobel-Prize winning economist, says cryptocurrencies should be shut down. He worries that they enable illicit activity by making money transactions less transparent.

Still, he sees the value in digital payments systems and supports electronic use of government-backed currencies like the dollar.

“I’ve been a great advocate of moving to an electronic payments mechanism. There are a lot of efficiencies. I think we can actually have a better regulated economy if we had all the data in real time, knowing what people are spending,” he says.

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/05/02/joseph-stiglitz-we-should-shutdown-the-cryptocurrencies.html

well, words like this we have often heard before. quite a lot of big people who refused crypto and in the end when they understood how crypto walked. They instead tried to make their own version of Cryptocurrencies
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Market is still Green this month. What do you think? on: May 05, 2019, 10:45:06 PM
If we see up to 3 months back, it seems we should be careful enough when taking prices, especially for the major coins, the possibility of going up is still there, if we find a bull run of 100 ~ 300 $, we must be careful, because surely there will be some corrections.
123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you buy lottery online in bitcoin payment? on: May 05, 2019, 03:30:45 PM
well, your new lottery site does not have any proof that you are not taking huge cuts from the pot. people are putting their money and buying the lottery tickets which they can do at any site even on faucets like freebitco provide lottery feature. but if you provide an innovative way with the lottery system then I guess people will consider trying it over other famous sites.

well, nowadays its very hard to find some sites that have significant different to another. Even some of themhas just give additional method of the lottery.
Not only the participants, the owner of the sites of course want more profit than just from the ad of their site
124  Economy / Economics / Re: China says rejecting physical cash is illegal amid e-payments popularity on: May 04, 2019, 06:17:30 PM
This is something that is understandable offcourse.
The only decision of China that I agree with , physical cash is very important , you cannot just take your cards everywhere with you even when you are going in street spree .
This is really helpful for the people who are old , or the young kids who doesn't really have any connections to the e market.
It's a harsh truth but we are taking away their freedom doing this * doing everything online *
This is good what they did.

With the current conditions, many non-cash payments do not mean cash payments must be written off / rejected. Both of these can now be alternative ways of being mutually beneficial. Isn't it with the current internet era, newspapers are still published every day ?
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto thefts, fraud hit $1.2 billion in Q1 report on: May 04, 2019, 05:26:50 PM
Can you believe that losses from the theft of crypto from exchanges due to fraud hit $1.2B?

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-crypto-currency-fraud/cryptocurrency-thefts-fraud-hit-1-2-billion-in-first-quarter-report-idUSKCN1S62P3

I still can't wrap my mind around why people wouldn't want to have compliance with AML and KYC to better help that this doesn't happen

Well, the crypto thefts, hacking, fraud and another issues that can cause crypto seems bad to new people, i think that was beyond the scope of AML and KYC. Hacker is not that stupid, using his own or another's people account to stole exchanges assets because the exchange absolutely can track on them. That was the bad step for them. In this case the KYC and AML wouldn't work since hackers maybe just do some direct attack to those exchanges, using new address to receive.

Its just like you didn't use the door, you just break the wall to steal it. I think, recently the best way is just apply for manual processing withdrawal for huge amount

128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't follow the hype on: May 01, 2019, 10:54:09 PM
What else we can do ? almost all of the hype also brings more profit. it's just that we have to begin to realize "when we join in the hype" is it still early or it's too late. if it's too late it's better to skip it.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using multiple MatLab curve fittings on Bitcoin historical price data on: May 01, 2019, 10:50:28 PM
An analysis that is quite convincing, but in the end the average of the various methods that we use more misses the analysis even when they say that the price of bitcoin has passed the support price.
130  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what do u think will happen 100 years or 1000 years from now on: May 01, 2019, 04:31:18 PM

In 20 years, people will either be saying “Remember when you could buy bitcoin for only 3500?” or “Remember when everyone lost their minds and spent millions on useless internet money?”

One day cryptos might boom in such a way that basically everyone who didn't invest in them will become poor

It was a very wrong statement, even when there was no cryptocurrency there were already rich people and poor people. and it does not mean that then there is a system like this, it provides a fooling perspective. In fact, we also see those who invest in large numbers in the end regret it because do some mistakes, like buy when the price is on top.
131  Economy / Economics / Re: Current Market state on: May 01, 2019, 04:27:24 PM
If you're stating a reliable fact then we could say that bitcoin growth is going straight to a better path. A lot of us are hoping for the best development for cryptocurrency especially bitcoin and these are good indications that the market is going well. It's positive news for crypto enthusiasts.

but if we talk about bitcoin growth, the majority of people today are impatient so that it takes longer than expected, the result is the development of different expectations of bitcoin also causes worse side effects
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What the future HODL? on: April 30, 2019, 04:55:29 PM
On these days, the future of HODL is very good because hodl for now is the best way to do for waiting the increase and the comeback of the of the real market who have the very high demand of bitcoin and also the high price of the market.

Well, for me for the time being we have to adjust the market conditions because for now, HODL is not always profitable, even for the long term and the market is still too volatile, scalping may be more suitable than hold, even though the risk is greater.
133  Economy / Economics / Re: The BIS has attributed the volatility of bitcoin to the lack of a central bank on: April 30, 2019, 04:27:37 PM
I personally think the volatility is because so few are trading it. The more people trading a currency, the less likely a single person can move the price either with a pump or dump. It's very hard for a single actor to move the dollar against another currency for example because they'd need huge firepower.

Unfortunately trading volumes have decreased since Dec 2017, so the volatility will remain.

That is true, but the real thing that can make the price unstable is that there is already a huge amount of exchange, so traders are also scattered, causing the previous exchange to be crowded to be deserted as a result of each coin making their own platform.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is IEO Profitable than ICO's? on: April 29, 2019, 10:56:55 PM
As you know IEO trend is growing but i feel IEO is profitable only for those who invested in token sale but who have purchased altcoin after launched they suffer loss majority of the investors ,as the BTT and some other altcoin examples of IEO.

No, each of them always having the positive and negative points, we just can judge it by how the project's running, sometimes ICO also worthed to be invest even after the first IEO we know always giving fast profit.
135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fake money? Think again! on: April 29, 2019, 10:55:23 PM
When you compare cryptocurrencies with something microtransaction-like payment i don't think that was an equivalent. Of course all of that will be priceless. But thanks, now he know which one worth to buy.
136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Educative YouTube Channel on: April 28, 2019, 06:06:18 PM
I was thinking about starting a YouTube channel regarding Bitcoin/crypto. I was thinking I was focusing on tutorials about the wallets, recovery, services, etc. (It won't be anything related to price analysis).

What are your thoughts and what do you think are some themes that you think should be covered?

In my opinion, i think that won't be needed right now, because there's almost a hundred of similiar Youtube channel's and of course you also will have a lot of competitors. Maybe it will be better if that's channel is just only about your own opinion regarding some news on the crypto.
137  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price in December 2019 on: April 28, 2019, 05:41:16 PM
if we compare it to the previous few years, we will see that at the end of each year the price of bitcoin tends to rise and possibly later this year will also rise.
and i think that the price will likely around 10k$
I think what happened last year might going to happen again this year as i see the resemblance of similarity of the price although it is not that accurate. But it might be going to happen and by the end of this year we might not gonna see the five figures but it is more likely $8k - $9k.

I don't want to expect more about of the price this year but i will expect the bull run to happen by 2020.

I think even in 2020 another bull run won't be happen. why ? Because till today after the big crash of crypto from its ATH, we don't see any other significant problem solving and solution. We might see some small bull run is just happen few days ago but im not sure it will long last.
138  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Please be careful with traders who.... on: April 28, 2019, 12:51:55 PM
I've seen a lot of people shilling on twitter about their paid private group in 2017 prior to the bull run. A lot of them fizzled out when the bear market hit last year.

Before subscribing to them, consider that they're not really earning much from trading that's why they're selling something else.

honestly I still really doubt the group like this, do they always get the profit they are promoting. but after seeing a number of reviews from people who have joined, this group or channel cannot provide profit at all. Even private group can't guarantee that we can even get profit.
