mmm yeah, I had a look around though and said steam doesn't like it when you activate over vpn and if they're cranky they might delete your account. :|

I wanna buy BF3, but I see it's the RU edition, what's the impact of that?
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Innovation in the alt chains on: December 23, 2011, 03:57:18 PM
Tbh, I think most of the altchains have been created as a way for the creator to get a bit more cash in his pocket. Not a lot have had impressive improvements (imo) and that all everyone is doing is just s/bitcoin/l33tcoin/ etc. Also, the need for someone to know C++ (not saying it's bad or anything) is a drawback, as I have alot of great ideas for things, but C++ hurts my eyes so to speak.
124  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [4 GH/s 0% fee Proportional Pool] TNTMining.com Come Join us. *Special Offer* on: December 19, 2011, 04:51:43 AM
We are a brand new pool so help get us started out.

*I am offering a 3 bitcoin bonus to each miner that finds a block until Christmas 12/25/11. *

This pool uses a 0% Fee proportional pool.
While the pool has 0% fees we do encourage some donations to help keep the pool up and running.  A 0.5% donation would be greatly appreciated. You are free to change this to any value (including 0%) in the account details.  My favorite miners give 1.5% or more. Smiley

This pool is hosted at http://www.tntmining.com/.

Connect at tntmining.com port 8999.

Just like any proportional pool you recieve a percentage of the block found including the transaction fee.  We don't keep anything.  That's why donations will help keep the pool running.

If there are any features that you would like to suggest please email me at ch69evy@hotmail.com.  Thanks and happy mining.

125  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin police on: December 13, 2011, 01:50:35 PM
I thought Bitcoin Police already existed, and were/are a complete joke?

You should start the Bitcoin FBI, and whenever SomeoneWeird / other Bitcoin Police show up to a crime scene, you can move in and say:

"We're the Bitcoin FBI, we'll handle it from here. You don't have jurisdiction"

I know I'm bumping this, but wow. really?

131  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Video cards, PCIe Extender cables, Power supplies, iBoots on: December 02, 2011, 06:48:30 AM
I'm getting rid of everything I own bitcoin related, here is a listing.  If you are interested, let me know.  I'll edit this post as things sell.  I'll accept BTC instead of USD.  I will pay for priority shipping in the US.  A lot of it is going up on ebay as well:

http://www.ebay.com/sch/rhenretta/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=25&_trksid=p3686

17 5830s - $120
2 Asus 5850 - $140
1 XFX 6870 - $150
4 6990s - $600
4 PCIe 16x->16x extender cable: $35 for all
4 PCI 1x (male) ->16x (female) extender cable: $35 for all
8 iBoot remote power switch: $80
8 850w PSU: $60

Motherboard / CPU + fan combos: $75 (PM me for details if interested)

In case you are not familiar with the iBoots, they ping your miner and if it ever stops responding it cycles the power.  No more waking up only to find out your miners weren't going all night.

Edit: Fixed a price

what are the psu's
132  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Part for a CETME rifle. on: November 29, 2011, 04:13:13 AM
How much are you asking for the trigger pack and can you ship to Algeria?

100 BTC. I can't ship directly to Algeria. I can ship to Morocco and have it cameled to you.

They're worth that much? 0.o

No offense, but $50 is fucking tiny.
134  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Time for another testnet reset? on: November 23, 2011, 01:36:56 AM
In the spirit of "do the simplest possible thing that works..."  I think I see a very simple thing that will work.

The simple additional rule for the testnet:

If current_block_timestamp - previous_block_timestamp > 20 minutes:
  block difficulty = minimum difficulty

And that's it.

If mining is proceeding normally and most blocks are produced in less than 20 minutes, then the rules are exactly the same as the main network.

But if somebody has driven difficulty way up, then the new rule acts as a safety valve, ensuring that new blocks are created at least once every 20-something minutes or so.  After a month of "safety valve blocks" the difficulty would be calculated as normal, and would get cut in (approximately) half.

This does make the testnet block chain more susceptible to forks -- somebody with a bunch of hashing power can pretty easily invalidate a long chain of 20-minute, min-difficulty blocks if they want to. And there is likely to be a flurry min-difficulty blocks produced/announced every 20 minutes. But that could be considered a feature (test your block-chain-reorganization code!).

+1

If ignorance is bliss, you must be happy as fuck...

How far does someone have to go on these forums until they get banned? Not only has poster been repeatedly obnoxious on these forums (via post history), but has also sent me abusive private messages that I am happy to turn over to moderators if they want to investigate further....

Forward them to me
136  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Any Aussie miners wanting to sell BTC regularly? on: November 17, 2011, 05:33:02 AM
I have an Australian bank account (Westpac) and am interested to see if any Aussie miners (assuming there are some) might be interested to sell me BTC regularly (say once per week or month).

The agreement would be that the BTC would be sent in exchange for AUD at a specific regular time and the price would be the half way between the current highest Bid and lowest Ask at Gox at that time (give or take a few minutes). The advantage to you is simply that you would not have any fees associated with redeeming your AUD (or have to incur any currency conversion costs or go through an exchange).

Provided any interested party has developed a decent reputation on this forum then I am willing to provide the AUD in advance of the BTC delivery each week/month.

Regards,

Ian Knowles.

--edit--

actually, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=34812.0

but.

Q). What is GetBitcoin?
A). GetBitcoin is an American Limited Liability Corporation (LLC), incorporated in the state of Delaware and headquartered in California. We are an American business and follow US rules and regulations.

when you search on http://kepler.sos.ca.gov (cali business search) nothing comes up for "GetBitcoin".

same for the delware business search : https://dorweb.revenue.delaware.gov/bussrch/

oh, and registered using privacy protection, which is QUITE strange when they list an address on their website (which is starting to smell fishhy)
