We have just reached the max. number of applicants for free distribution. By the end of the week, we will have all 500,000 USE distributed to anyone who has applied for the free distribution and is using our signature. The truth is, we were developing a marketplace before we even thought of Usecoin. Then we decided why not make a marketplace and put a coin behind it, make it the primary currency to use, and bring an altcoin to market that has real world utility? This is why UseMarket is already near completion. We have been working on this almost full time for the past 4+ weeks.

I understand your concern and criticism. We too understand that there are way too many scam IPOs and pump and dump coins that serve no real purpose other than to make the "devs" some money. We created Usecoin not to make money, at least not entirely, but to create a crypto that is actually USEFUL and serves a real purpose, to act as a currency where people can use it to buy goods and services, thus our upcoming UseMarket marketplace

IPO coins have been sent to Maidak. He will be distributing coins to all investors soon.

Got a reply from Maidak. Apparently a bad storm hit him pretty hard and he had limited connectivity. Talking to him on live chat, We are transferring IPO coins to him now and he said everyone should receive their coins by the end of the night

We (the devs) have also decided to put up to 10 BTC of our own funds into setting up buy support for the coin when miners do start selling their mined coins. We believe in our own project wholeheartedly and are not afraid to invest more money into stabilizing this coin.

We expected some delay but did not expect a delay of over 2+ hours. He is aware of the time of our coin launch as we PM him yesterday informing that we will send the wallets an hour or so before our launch so he can prepare. I guess now we must be patient. At least the rest of the launch seems to have gone smoothly, right?

We were heavily criticized for not offering an escrow for our IPO initially, and I completely understand why. Investors like to feel safe. But our argument was that escrows often complicate things, causes unexpected delays and such, as we are experiencing right now.

Well, I am fairly certain he's not running away with any BTC. He has escrowed for much larger sums of money from IPOs in the past. 15 BTC is rather small compared to some other ones who have raised hundreds.

Perhaps he's busy, not sure. We sent multiple PMs to him prior to launch, as well as download links to wallets ahead of time so he can get prepped.

This was exactly why we initially opted to not use a third party escrow 

Hopefully he'll reply soon because we want our investors to have possession of their coins ASAP.

If we do not see much interest in IPO during phase 2 we may cancel it completely and destroy remaining coins earlier.

For free distribution, only 500,000 coins were in the free distribution pool. Currently, less than half of that has been applied for. We will be dispersing free coins throughout the rest of the week, so not too many free coins will be flooding the market.
