I can buy a gift code after the login, but since in the local currency it costs a lot and I got a few bitcents, I prefer to someone out there to buy to me.
Well for me when i login and click store and select buy gift card I get this screen. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FOiYgmwF.png&t=663&c=4g_s2K2rIqr35g) I think getting someone to get you an actual card from a store and then give you the scratched code is going to be the only way. Good luck

Last I heard was that the minecraft.net site was not working for buying the cards. Did they fix it yet? I got one for my daughter a few weeks ago from walmart.

Thanks all!
With regard to the "official wallet" mentioned by Gianluca95, I believe this is the Qt (or 'core') wallet that I already use, but please correct me if this is wrong? If it's right, then, like I said, it delivers transaction change to different addresses, not my main address, but I'm looking for other wallet options that DO deliver transaction change to my main address.
Again, I'm wondering if there is a good PC wallet that... - constantly synchronizes the blockchain (like Qt does), but... - delivers all change (after spending) back to my MAIN address, so that I can keep all of my Bitcoin at just one address?
I appreciate the info from cech4204a and joshraban76 about Multibit and Electrum, and I've spent the last little while reading up on them (and others), but I was unable to determine if either of them meet both of the criteria that I mentioned above. Does anyone happen to know off-hand if they (or any others) do?
Thanks again!
Steve
Electrum does not download the blockchain to your pc. It downloads it to a central server. It does however send change to your main address. For example you receive .1 bitcoin delivered to a receiving address. On your next send of say .05 it will take that .1 from that address and you will find the change under Main account. Electrum meets only one of your criteria. For me I chose electrum because i am running only 120g ssd. If i was to upgrade I may consider running qt but for now electrum is doing what i need it to.

If you make significantly more than 400 posts how many posts do you report? The true amount?
I would think you would report the actual posts but it is capped at 400 so only 400 would be paid anyway.

I bought a steam game from cryptothrift. The only downfall is that if it was purchase with a stolen cc then the game will likely be taken away after the chargeback. I am holding the coin in escrow for 5days and the seller didn't seem phased by that. He actually encouraged me to hold it in escrow so I felt more comfortable. He also has 100% positive rating and the game was only $7 so it wouldn't be a huge loss.

satoshi seems the simplest to me. It would be easy if each decimal place had a name. for example 8 places after the decimal is a satoshi. 7 places after the decimal could be another name. Maybe once we learned the names it would be easier to understand and calculate on the fly.

I would say you should read about a few wallets and then decide on one. Add Electrum to the list of ones to consider, i really like it.

I assume this raspberry pi setup is located somewhere else… or why run a BNC in your own house? The main reason people I knew used BNC's were to protect themselves and fully hide the IP/location they are connecting from, primarily to protect against script kiddies & dos/ddos attacks. I realize most networks now probably mask IP's, but there are still plenty of people (IRCops, admins, shell providers) that could see them.
Nope it is right next to my desk. The reason I personally use it is for PM's. When someone PM's me even, if I am afk I will still see the message when I login. Another benefit is it logs 200 lines of chat from every channel you are in so you can do a bit of catchup and jump right in on the conversation. IRC is not for everyone but I enjoy it for my hobbies.

I just built a computer with all newegg parts just 2 months ago. With this news though I may be upgrading again rather soon.

I think you will need to include more for shipping. and an additional fee as a transaction fee also. .015btc will barely cover the cost of the bottle. I assume that you are trying to get someone to purchase it and ship it. is that correct? Or are you trying to find someone that just happens to have a bottle laying around that they want to sell?

Update: I did receive a payment for .01824328btc today. So with such a small increase in difficulty this term I should be looking at a similar figure next Sunday as well. I still am not convinced that I will ever get my initial investment back but reading some other peoples praise of them makes me hopeful.

With all the accounts that get locked for 180days and the insane refunds that happen in the buyers favor. I can not see using paypal with bitcoin being one that will benefit sellers. Many years ago I had a terrible experience with paypal/ebay where I lost over $1k. I have not used them since.

The last I read was the the average block time for 700 TH was 4days. How would this convert into cost per block or hash rate? I have serious doubts that this could work.

I bought into this a few days ago. I only bought 100 GH/s because I have this feeling that I wont really make anything on it. In fact I would be happy to see just break even in 5yrs. It all depends on the difficulty not increasing drastically I think. This term it doesn't look like it is predicted to be a big increase so I shouldn't see a big drop per day. If we get a few terms with bog increases I may not have any chance to ever make it back. Either way it will be an experience that I will learn from one way or the other.
This is the problem with buying such a long term investment in cloud mining or any type of mining for that matter. As it is now the difficulty is doubling roughly every two months, in other words your expected revenue is going to half every two months (assuming that your provider does not charge any kind of ongoing maintenance fee, if it does then your drop will be more every two months). The later part of your contract will see very few results. My thinking was with the .3btc i spent on this contract... What could I have bought really to get into mining with such little funds. I mean, for me to buy a miner doing 100gh/s would cost me more then .3btc. I will still only get 100gh/s so all I am losing is the paper weight after it costs more to run then it can get mine in coin, which I imagine wont be long. Like I said it is more of an experiment for me. I will not be reinvesting along the run I am just curious if it will eventually give any roi at all. https://bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020140704023505485N5SxDMkW0693Bitman AntMiner S3 costs .725 BTC that runs at 478 GHs, or ~ .15 per 100 GHs. Granted you do not have to pay for electricity, however I don't think that the electric cost would add up to be 1/2 of the cost of the machine. I was debating on if I should buy an S3 on ebay for an inflated price. I have been kicking it around for a few days and Im almost there. Everytime I go to do it I hear my wifes voice bitching at me so I freeze.
