Hopefully a whole world exploring the galaxy. I am so ready for us to be more curious about what's outside of what's here on the planet.

Encryption seems great for security and may if it's creates a peer-2-peer link, but given their disregard for privacy and data custody, we'll have to see.
I think only once there is a truly large scale demand and adoption of privacy focused or rather data custody focused tech, will we see big tech really adapt.
But privacy will be monetized.
We really need large scale privacy focused tech and there are definitely a few key players that are doing the work. All of these true cypherpunks are making huge strides in taking the internet back into our hands. Whether it be Satoshi or David Chaum mentioned in the article

I had no idea that a digital currency was even being discussed that early. I wonder if David was friends with the pioneers of silicone valley when the digital revolution started

I might be wrong, but I don't think this project is the first of it's kind creating a decentralized messaging app, I was registered in such platform but I am still yet to remember the link to this platform so I can show you that we already have projects like this in existence and the admin of this project would have to come up with something better in order to take the users focus from those already working platform to this new platform that has just been launched.
Please make your research well and prove me wrong if I am.
I am sure there are some that have been implemented but have they gone so far as protecting not just data but metadata too (informatoin such as when messages are sent, where and from who)

it's getting people to care more about their involvement of themselves. freedom if you will. from control

I had to look up who David Chaum was upon reading this but it looks like he's been a pioneer for crypto for quite some time esp in digital payments.
Very old guy in crypto David Chaum,,, and many others like him who are real technology experts and cryptographer specialists,,, but are much less famous than guys like John McAfee who actually know zero about the real code and cryptography behind cryptocurrencies. Blockchain has potential, we all know that. But I have to be honest, the 38 second video did not give me any idea except that Elixxr is about a consumer product or service? It sounded strange I think you can use the 38 seconds better:) I watched the full lengtth video that was in the notes hwich gave a much better detailed explaination even a visual of how their consensus works. I bet they will roll out more videos with time. Here's the link if you want to watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYGwODG3JGs&app=desktop

I am looking forward to learning more about this project and maybe even look into their node selection process a bit further since that is currently what is happening

I think we should ban mass destruction weapons... protection weapons need heavy regulation

those are all grreat reminders and lessons thank you

From the looks of it there seems to be two big things that this project offers. One is decentralized messaging which we clearly need in this day and age of data protection and privacy. The second part to Elixxir looks to be their payments system which I think would work well with a messaging app. We definitely need something that is mobile forward for mass adoption. Right now there's too much of a learning curve for Bitcoin users- waiting for somethign to get more people on board quicker

Crypto has a great future indeed. It might be going through some rough patches right now but there are a lot of promising things happening that will improve over time. We've been seeing scalability improvements from platforms like Ethereum and MOAC and even more privacy measures being introduced such as Mimble Wimble protocol.

I think Woz was careful with his words, these people have too much spotlight on them especially with regulations and figuring out what is okay with crypto nowadays in the states. My belief is the internet generation is in it much more than we realize

Ampleforth is a great investment for the long run because it can be used as both a unit of account and storage of wealth. They're white paper is pretty incredible how it explains this in detail through their elastic supply protocol

Yes I do! I think we best be ready too with all these enterprises steppign in
|
|

I would recommend checking out Moac especially if you care about decentralization and scalability .

I think stable coins are good in the sense that it's easier for people to understand a 1:1 ratio especially when adopting an entirely new currency.
