121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 21, 2023, 08:04:45 PM
It's just unbelievable how the situation changed in a span of few weeks. After the first two test matches, everyone had written off England. But now they are about to get their second consecutive win. Australia is almost done for the 4th test, as they are trailing by 162 runs with just 6 wickets in hand. Unless there is a miracle from the Oz tailend batsmen, it is going to be an innings win for England. And more importantly, going to the 5th test at the Oval, the Poms would be having a clear momentum with them. I have only one thing to say here - Pat Cummins has failed as a captain, and he need to be kicked out.

End of Day 03, Australia are 162 runs behind and they have only left with 6 wickets. Since there are two days left in the match (if there is no rain), no one can snatch the victory from the England team at Manchester.

Some people especially Australian fans may argue that anything can happen in cricket and do not lose hope until the last wicket for the Australian had gone down, but i would say that match is in such an awkward situation for the Aussies that even the miracle won't even save them.
I don't think anything can happen tor Australia from here. I do understand that Labuschagne is still there who can ofcourse change the course of the game but Australia still trail by 162 runs. England played excellent Bazball yesterday and today. Playing at a run rate of almost 6 they have made sure that they give Australia ample of time to bat. I think there's one sure advantage of Bazball is getting less draws.

US Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announces plan to back the US dollar with Bitcoin. Do your think it is a good idea?
source: https://www.thestreet.com/cryptocurrency/rfk-jr-announces-plan-to-back-dollar-with-bitcoin-end-bitcoin-taxes
You remember how Kayne west said a lot of things as well? How he will change things if he becomes the president, the most important word here was if. RFK hasn't even been declared as a presidential candidate from any party he just desires to be one of the presidential candidates. Also I am pretty sure after listening this he won't get a lot of support from his peers as well as people.
123  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is it easier for an E-hailing company to move into food delivery? on: July 21, 2023, 07:41:40 PM
This is how Uber eats work:
Quote
A customer opens the Uber Eats app, browses your menu, and places an order.
You accept the order with the tablet you received from Uber Eats.
The customer tracks the order’s progress through the Uber Eats app.
You fulfill the order and hand it off to a delivery person.
The delivery person delivers your order to the customer.
https://help.uber.com/merchants-and-restaurants/article/how-does-uber-eats-work-?nodeId=054c6b5e-c22f-4b0a-b0d8-dd397ec7b92e
Many companies similar to Uber Eats do the same thing. And as we know, Uber is an E-hailing company however, they have spread their business tentacles into food delivery. The question for discussion is, why is it easier for an E-hailing company to move into food delivery than for a successful restaurant to add E-hailing services to what they do? A perfect example would be KFC moving into E-hailing.

*Edited thanks @stompix
Very simple it's because they already have the supply chain network knowledge. They have an established ecosystem of local supply chain and even more than that they know how can they integrate technology along with that and obviously their brand value from the existing E-business as well. The traditional restaurants aren't able to matchup with technology and even if they get technology it's almost impossible for them to tie up technology with their supply chain.

England started the game brilliantly and looked like they could cross 500 runs in the first innings which would make the second innings easier for them.  Australia is under a lot of pressure this time and it looks like Australia will lose this match
It was a great innings from Zak Crawley and unfortunately he missed his double century, Joe Root is on his way to his century and it is going to be a difficult session for Australia unless they fold the England first innings as soon as possible. Since it is just the second day and England only lead by 34 runs and plenty of time left in this match and with the way the match is poised England will score a huge first innings lead and Test the Australian batsman and level the series.
Edit: Joe Root is back in the pavilion and the match is getting interesting Cheesy.

Even though Joe Root missed his century and Zak Crawley missed his double century. England is still in every commanding position right now in this mess. And I believe that’s what matters. England has scored 360/4 and they have a lead of 43 right now. Joe Root is still in the middle and Jonny Bairstow still has not come on to bat.

So a lot of batting power left for England. I think England should try to score quickly now. They should try to get a lead around 120-130 and declare the innings. That is going to give them a good chance to win in my opinion. England has the situation under control and they should not take any dumb decision at this moment.
From here I would say England have clinched the 4th test match and we might witness the decisive 5th test after 2-2. I say this because from here it looks like England can make a lead of atleast 150 runs. And if this happens there are good chances that the target won't be anything more than a 200-250 in the best case. So I think England has really made a big step ahead in this match. At Max if Australia can pull out anything of this match would now be a draw.
125  Local / India / Re: how to buy crypto in a wallet with cheapest fee on: July 20, 2023, 04:24:41 PM
I mostly want crypto in different crypto gambling sites, and most of them don't allow to buy crypto or fiat with google pay or and any other online payment method, mostly they allow to deposit through cryptocurrency so i have very less amount to gamble with..

so i want best p2p platform where i can buy crypto for very cheap because i want small amount to play with. so you know how can i buy crypto direct in my wallet for very cheap fee?
without deep kyc.
Without KYC from India I don't really think it's possible through any platform unless you find someone on the forum or any other place who can do it with you. We do have P2P on many sites but yes KYC is the basic criteria almost everywhere, also I don't know about the amount but anything above 2 Lac in an unknown account through Google Pay can also be flagged by IT Department. Also you can't do it with a foreigner because sending payment would be diffcult. Tough case man
126  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is more profiting self trade or AI on: July 20, 2023, 04:20:37 PM
Lately, there has been some development here in the integration of AI in trading on some stock assets and cryptocurrencies, and to a large instead, AI has ground in acting and executing trades and recording profits, but it has not been for long so as we can't tell what the success rate will be, but for the fact that the reality on the ground has shown and proven their existence in trading stock, so as that which one will you prefer if AI is proven to be effective.
Will you prefer to trade with AI or you prefer to do the trading yourself?
If you can create an AI tool yourself or forget AI just a bot yourself which can automatically do trades based on criteria you had fed then there is nothing better than that for sure. But if you are buying some cheap third party bot for trading or even third party AI for trading then it's definitely not worth it. Even if it gives you good profits for sometime eventual result would not be something that you would want. So obviously don't go with AI or bots.
127  Economy / Economics / Re: Can CBDC users lose control of their money? on: July 20, 2023, 04:16:26 PM
Isn't it very obvious that the CBDCs would have these features? I mean the intent of these countries which create CBDC is this only right? To get better control & accountability over the currency that is floating around in the economy, so if this is the case then how can you expect them to give complete autonomy to you? Moreover this is the very reason why the whole Crypto community knows that CBDC is as good as fiat only.
128  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Tornado cash and others mixers on: July 16, 2023, 07:27:03 PM
Hello,

I've been following the tornado cash case, but I didn't quite understand why this particular mixer was targeted and not all mixers in general. It seems to me that it would make more sense to target none or all of them, no?

I think I'm missing some information to fully understand.

Ps: do you have any information on the dev arrested in the Netherlands?
It is surely not alone. There are a lot of mixers that have come under the radar of different governments around the globe. Even Chipmixer was recently shut allegedly for money laundering and also a few years back bitmixer themselves shut their services of bitcoin mixing. These companies know that governments would never want anonymous transaction and anything making them anonymous will be busted sooner or later.
129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 16, 2023, 07:14:50 PM
Despite not winning the ODI series, Bangladesh's players did not make any mistakes in the T20 series. However, even though Bangladesh won the first T20 match, their performance was not very good. But they played great in today's match. The bowlers of Bangladesh bowled well. But I expected better bowling from Mustafiz. He managed to pick up two wickets but conceded 30 runs in 3 overs. Bangladesh's two openers Liton and Afif played very well. Because of this it became easy for Bangladesh to win the match.

The first contest was close one and Bangladesh was fortunate enough to win that game. In first T20I, Bangladeshi team was able to chase the target on second last ball of the game that tells the intensity and closeness of the game. Today's game was dominated by Bangladesh, first in bowling and then in batting. Afghan team was able to score 116 runs on 102 balls, no Afghan batsmen was able to play a big inning today. Shakib once again was good with bat and bowl today.
No matter how good Afghanistan team is their strength right now lies in just one thing and that's their bowling. So whenever their inconsistent batting doesn't performs they lose the match, in an ideal world it'll always be better for Afghans to bowl first to eliminate the opponents batters quickly for a low score which eventually gives their batsmen much less pressure while batting.
130  Economy / Economics / Re: Always ask for POD form from your bank on: July 16, 2023, 07:09:45 PM
I though it right to share this with the forum as I think this will save some persons from a whole lot of drama and stress in case of a deceased.
I got to find out about a POD form which simply means  PAYABLE ON DEATH  from a friend yesterday  after his father  passed on, leaving them with some reasonable  sum of money in the bank and upon check, the father already has a POD form which saved them from the stress of getting a lawyer and all the legal processes to claim the money but rather all they had to do was get a death certificate, take it to the bank along with the POD form and the money will be issued.

I felt this was very important because I know how much effort and money it took us to get access to my late fathers money in the bank after he passed on.

I think everyone needs to get this form especially  if you have any holdings in the bank.

N/B: no one is dying anytime soon but death is inevitable.
I am surprised to see this not mandatory in your country. In India filing nominee of your Bank account is an absolute necessary step even while opening up an account. Infact you can even allocate how much of it should go to whom. Even in case of Demat accounts, fixed term deposits etc. This is a very basic step. Obviously I can just imagine the fate of the family who lost their person and even will have to fight a case for their own money.

Someone talking about ATM withdrawal it has certain daily limit of withdrawal so things aren't that easy.
131  Economy / Economics / Re: Can your passion lead to an increase in your net worth? on: July 16, 2023, 06:33:00 PM
There are many diverse opinions about following one's passion and wealth. I read two stories of people who followed their passion, and in a short period of time, the businesses became very profitable.

In story 1, Defossey left a job at Apple to open a BBQ restaurant in Mexico City. It made $9 million in sales last year. In story 2, Sean Audet, a 30-year-old, spent $0 launching a food photography side hustle, and now he brings in $134,000 a year.

The people in these stories followed their passion and created wealth through it. What is your opinion on following one's passion in relation to wealth? Can your passion lead to an increase in your net worth? If yes, what is stopping you from following it?

Following your passion is something that everyone should do in their lives. But will it Always lead to wealth generation? Ofcourse not. Your passion can be as simple as gardening which might not be that profitable no matter what you do or something else which isn't that much of an economic activity. However if you focus on money while choosing profession in short term then you'll always end up with lesser net worth at the end but if you follow your passion the money will eventually come.
132  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin pumping when the economy is heading into a recession? on: July 15, 2023, 09:25:48 PM
Forgive my ignorance, I am very new to this space. I saw talks about CBDCs and that drew my attention back to cryptocurrencies. I thought the last bull run would be the last we would have seen of bitcoin ever reaching those heights so I stopped looking at the crypto space ever since. But now we have discussions about dethroning the dollar and CBDCs, I am changing my mind about that, but I still find it fascinating that bitcoin is pumping in this economy right now. I am no means an expert in economics as you can clearly tell, would appreciate if anyone who had the knowledge could shed some light here. Always keen to learn. Thanks
In an ideal scenario bitcoin will always go up if the traditional markets show dumps because dumps are signs of low confidence in market which means people are putting money somewhere else which can be bitcoin. But honestly we have seen some times bitcoin is trending very same as the stock market only. Like in covid 2020 Feb mar market fell like there is no tomorrow and so did the stock market but eventually it raised up like it'll achieve it's all old targets easily.
133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 15, 2023, 07:35:57 PM
West Indies cricket is at its worst. The management and the cricket board should make the team better. I don't know how they'll generate revenue conducting a match. There is no audience on the ground. If the same match have been played in India, BCCI could've made good revenue out of the match tickets. I don't know whether the interest of people have declined or this is just because it is a test match.
Right Wi playing very bad cricket even though he does not qualify for Word Cup 2023. What a shocking display of cricket by India They secured a remarkable victory against West Indies winning by an innings and 141 runs. The Indian team show amazing performance and teamwork especially the bowling performance by Ravichandran Ashwin exceptional  picking 12 wickets played a crucial role in this victory but the batting performance of Yashasvi Jaiswal is outstanding scored 171 runs get the well deserved title Player of the Match.

I am confused as to whether I should appreciate the tremendous performance of the Indian team or I should blame the poor cricket by the West Indies team and their decline in the international arena.

The only thing that I can debate in this test match is who should have been the Player of the match. Either it should be Yashasvi Jaiswal
with 171 runs (who is the actual player of the match) or it should have been Ravichandran Ashwin who took a total of 12 wickets in both the innings.
I think Ashwin made more sense, considering it was bowling of India which was exceptional the batting wasn't that extraordinary. I know 171 was very crucial, but very less things come close to 12 wickets for one bowler in a match, also when he took 7 wickets in the very last innings where India won th match.
134  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading tips that helpfull for beginners on: July 15, 2023, 07:13:55 PM
I think this is pretty much the primary steps that anyone has to take in order to become a trader. But these few steps have been summarised here very small. These steps will take you through a grilling journey of months or even an year or so. Most of the people will fall in between the journey and mostly will not be making anything in trading, infact juet keep on counting how much would you lose.
135  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this a Strategy? Is it a good Strategy? on: July 15, 2023, 06:16:14 PM
Public beef or fights involving billionaires, celebrities, or even top companies often puts them into the spotlight, attracting attention and generating increased traffic, hence, more income. My question arises as to whether you think some or most of these conflicts are genuine or intentionally crafted/orchestrated by the parties involved to maintain their prominence and financial gains.
Also, could this be considered as a strategic element of their business or career strategy? And If so, is this a good strategy?
Always yes. Almost all the companies and billionaires have their PR team who themselves orchestrate such fights for their financial gains in even when their publicity is being adversely affected. I think the reason for this is very obvious we humans are too much interested in lives of others and also remember the people who have been involved in some sort of clash with each other.
136  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: your opinion about the current fees on: July 14, 2023, 08:19:04 PM
Hello , we're  all seeing the rising fees when it comes for crypto payment , as an example : "buysellvouchers" got it's fees from 0.4% to 0.5% when buying , and if we include the network fees too, it starts to add up , so i'm here to ask about your opinion on the best crypto to use to get less fees and be optimal , is it bitcoin ? LTC, or simply usdt ? especially when trading big amounts ( i'm pointing the treatment speed and value ), thanks for your replies.
I think best in this case would be USDT but on tron network it'll be dirt cheap for you as the fees is lowest. Even LTC isn't that expensive if you compare it with something like BTC. So i think BTC is worst when it comes to fees these days even after Segwit I somehow feel we have already reached to that point where it is as good as what Original BTC was sometime ago.
137  Local / India / Re: P2P Trade for Indian board members on: July 14, 2023, 08:15:49 PM
I personally think that the Indian board should have a P2P thread open in case they have something to trade.
Its better to trade with trusted people than to trade on other P2P channels like Binance P2P.
The chances of getting scammed or account frozen are relatively high on other platforms than on this thread.
Only active Indian board members will be allowed to trade on this thread.

I want you guys' suggestions so that I can convert this thread to a P2P trade channel. Otherwise I will just lock it up if nobody is interested.
But I think we relatively have too less people on the forum to actually make a successfull P2P trading forum. I don't really think just 10-15 people would be able to make a good platform. I like other countries like Phillipines and Indonesia doing the same many times but their strength of people is the only reason why they are successfully able to do that. but yes we can surely give it a try.
138  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I understand Bitcoin charts? on: July 14, 2023, 07:55:46 PM
Good day, esteem members of this prestigious forum, please do not find this question unnecessary, I need experienced investors who knows that understanding charts is part of investment strategy and means to maximize profit,  enlighten us on bitcoin charts. If there is any thread explaining chart, please kindly drop their link.

I know there are different types of charts, you can Explain the chart you know in it's simplest form.

Do you understand that this is the basic problem when it comes to bitcoin or let's say any security. If someone knew the correct person who can surely maximize your return them everyone would be going to that very person only. If you want to learn trading yourself you should try getting knowledge of technical analysis and after that just try starting with paper trading and eventually actual trading this will build your sub conscious memories while taking trade as well.
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 14, 2023, 07:47:43 PM
A weak West Indies team was bowled out for just 150 runs in the first innings. But India put up a massive 400 runs in their first innings and already have a lead of 250 runs which makes it impossible for the West Indies to collect in the second innings. In such a situation, India should declare an innings and invite the West Indies to bat in the second innings.

If Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin start the second innings like they did in the first innings, it won't take long for West Indies to be all out, giving India two free days to enjoy themselves.

I absolutely agree. I really do not think that West Indies actually has any chance to win this match. India is a lot more stronger compared to the West Indies team. Currently, West Indies are batting in their second innings and remain 264 runs behind. They will have to make sure that they stay in the middle as long as possible. Otherwise, they are going to lose wickets pretty quickly. They will have to make sure that they do not lose by an innings the difference first. After that, they will have to make sure to give India a good total to chase down. But that is going to be really hard.
I am pretty unhappy for Jaiswal to be honest, this man played his best cricket for 380 balls and then just made one small stupid mistake and eventually it costed him a double hundred on the debut. It would have been a really crazy thing to do on your debut. Talking about match I think it was very apparent on the first day that India will win.
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 13, 2023, 05:32:44 PM
The Windies didn't get any wickets so far but their bowlers are doing a great job, spinners in particular keeping things very tight and rarely giving any freebies, which is good to watch.

Spinners did trouble both openers but batters are all set and must be eyeing their 100s. The Windies are in for a hard grind in this inning because of the deep batting lineup of India.

Bowling is good but still you need some wickets to make match competitive and watchable, right now it looks too much like an one sided affair. Right now I think I am much more interested in Ashes than this tour of India which I am pretty sure we are going to win with a complete clean sweep only. One good thing with this tour can be many batsmen who had lost their touch might get it back with a couple of good innings, big example- Rohit Sharma.
