121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is the Scrypt mining rig on your wishlist for X-Mas? on: December 18, 2017, 04:18:17 AM
I am thinking I might pull some alt profits and buy a standalone rig that i could receive by Valentines day, what is your favorite setup?

After reviewing coinwars and noticing that hashrates were not very high I decided I better support the community that hashes my transactions.

its not scrypt, but the one I'm lookin at is the Baikal giant B miner, 40gh on lbry making over 14k a month whooo wwwweeeee at current prices and difficulty, there is one scrypt asic ive been eyeballing too the antminer L3+, Id love to get my hands on these 2 asics

I was looking for a price on the Baikal and didn't see one, the antminer is attractive though, price - and I like the color  Cool
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: December 18, 2017, 04:03:19 AM
Totally agree, you can feel the fakeness of those BCH pumps with their huge long vertical lines & then sudden massive drops.
And Litecoin is clearly a real, down to earth coin with a mission - that's not to say it can't still be somewhat undervalued - but it is keepin it real.

As for Bitcoin - I sold the last of mine today for Litecoin & Power Ledger due to this >>>

""Bitcoin’s biggest problem is not even its massive energy consumption (bigger than many small countries already) but that the network is mostly fueled by coal-fired power plants in China. Coal-based electricity is available at very low rates in this country. Even with a conservative emission factor, this results in an extreme carbon footprint for each unique Bitcoin transaction"

very ugly for climate change - bitcoin needs to solve that or face an escalating backlash into the future

I have been playing with the idea of mining something, now i am going to look at how I can mine litecoin (maybe some POWR) using a sustainable off grid energy source, most likely solar, I think coal has a place in the world but I think we can do better.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still support Ethereum? on: December 18, 2017, 03:56:03 AM
It's pretty fucked Spartak.
The train wreck of bullshit seems infallible.
And he we go again another fork LOL

You have to have forks to eat profits.

Looks like you completed a contract on the Eth network, it does say "Success" on the explorer page.

127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Planning to invest 1btc on altcoin, whats your choice? on: December 18, 2017, 03:32:02 AM
Man there are threads already loaded with info on peoples choices of the 2018 hopefuls, you should look at those and then read into the coin that you think might do good, I bet anything that has to do with pot would be good for a 2018 profit.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I've made a huge mistake on: December 18, 2017, 03:16:01 AM
Why you can not withdraw your transaction? Any information in your email? Usually, if we doing transaction we get withdraw the transaction until 24hours

I wonder where you get emails from, once you send coins or tokens to a blockchain address there is no way to reverse it like a paypal transaction or credit card transaction, unless you are able to fork the blockchain and use code to rectify the problem, I would suggest that anybody that loses a large amount of coins to an address mishap to contact the coin developers and ask them to fork the blockchain to return the money back to them, it can be done and has been done, I am sure that there are people familiar with Etherium that are aware of it having been done with its blockchain (that is why there is Etherium Classic), read up on it.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to invest on: December 18, 2017, 02:57:17 AM
This here altcoin game is just like gambling, if you know how to count cards you will win at the tables in Vegas, if you know what the coins are for you will win at crypto.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How start Mining? on: December 18, 2017, 02:52:05 AM

You need to know a few basic things before you starting your adventure in the miners world Smiley
You need to know how much you paying for electricity $/Kwh including all taxes,  fees
You need to know how much electricity you can use , how much ampers are available for you ...
you need to know where you can place ur miners , some of them (ASIC) really loud , gpu miners much more quite ,but both generating a lot of heat...
You meed to know how much you can invest ...
You ned to know basic things about wallets , exchanges  , how you can get out fiat currency from your mined coins ...

" DONT ASK QUESTIONS LIKE : ITS TO LATE TO START MINING , IT IS STILL PROFITABLE ?"

No one can tell you !
Always going to be a 2 group of ppl who telling you it's ok go for it , or dont bc you just wasting ur money !
You have to make a decision for yourself !
Do your own research !
No one can tell you for sure what's going to happen with cryptocurrency !
No one can tell you it's going to be profitable for you or not !
No one can tell you how much profit you going to be able to make ! ( if you can make any at all )
No one can tell you the ROI ( return of investment) time !
None of those calculators you are seeing on the web can tell you what's coming tomorrow , months later or 6 months later or a year later !
Those calculators telling you about today , at that moment when you typing in your information !
soooo mining is profitable?  Roll Eyes
sooooo have you even read all of the comments above? surely not.
Mining is always profitable. You need to know which coin to mine. and read the comments above and use Google too, you know? then you come back here to the forums and asl specific questions along your learning curve. There´s no school for miners, everyone learned the hard way, educating themselves, yes feel free to ask, but real questions.

Lol, I read the comments and read in between the lines of the do your own research post above, and I am not asking questions here, it was more like a snub hint to the obvious for the thread op, I know the coins to mine, the coins that are not worth mining, and I know there are not enough miners mining to keep the ledgers from failing and ultimately the coins dropping in price, I have done my basic research and know how to read through a thread bud.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I've made a huge mistake on: December 18, 2017, 02:38:40 AM
If you think it was a large enough amount to get peoples attention maybe the devs could fork the coin for you to return your coins to you, kind of like the Etherium chain took when  there was a theft in the blockchain, post your transaction here and lets take a look at it on the block explorer to see if it warrants a fork or not.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Be the first miner to mine a new coin ? on: December 18, 2017, 02:34:38 AM
Launch a coin, start a Announce thread and mine the hell out of it before you release the wallet to anyone, that is the way you can be the first miner.

134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitstamp - complete bunch of idiots and greedy morons - problems ahead for them on: December 18, 2017, 02:27:03 AM
I attempted to get an account here back in the early day's, after spending brain damaging time trying I gave up and have since wrote them off, there are better options now.

136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FAIR] FairCoin - for a fair economy, featuring proof-of-cooperation on: December 18, 2017, 01:52:26 AM
Reading more into Faircoin I am surprised that there is not a lot of community presence here but plenty of updates on other sites and the official price of Faircoin is not the price it is trading at on Bittrex and makes me think somehow somewhere somebody is getting rich through Arbitrage by buying at Bittrex and selling to those that do not know of Bittrex, cool, wish it was me.

(but really where can I sell this coin for a 1:1 with the Euro?)
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: December 18, 2017, 01:00:34 AM
The Cryptocurrency pool of investors is simply growing, new markets are opening up and the UK news site www.independent.co.uk reports that a third of all 18 - 35s are set to invest by the end of 2018 up from 5% now.

I think a move away from the heaviest energy user Bitcoin with its energy-guzzling mining load to lighter greener alternatives like Litecoin and Power Ledger are inevitable.

The latest 'Bitcoin News reports that;
"Since January 1, the price of Litecoin has surged from $3.63 to $302, as its market cap increased from below $177 million to $16.4 billion. The market valuation of Litecoin is currently larger than that of bitcoin in the beginning of 2017.

Potential Factors Behind Rally

Over the past 12 months, the bitcoin dominance index has decreased from above 80 percent to 56 percent. Several analysts have attributed the decrease in the bitcoin dominance index to the migration of users from bitcoin to alternative cryptocurrencies (altcoins) such as Litecoin and Ethereum that have significantly lower transaction fees than bitcoin.

At the time of reporting, the median transaction fee of Litecoin is around $0.065.. Due the high transaction fees of bitcoin, many users have started to utilize Litecoin to process cheaper and small transactions.

Bitcoin Fees, a bitcoin transaction fee prediction platform developed by Earn.com (formerly 21 Inc) show that the fastest and cheapest transaction fee is, a recommended fee of around $18."

that's a huge difference in cost to the end user both financially and environmentally.

Litecoin for the future!

LTC is definitely the coin of the future! We can see how it developes and after the lightning network launch we could see as value of Litecoin.
With over $1.86bn in 24-hour trading volume, things are looking pretty good for Litecoin. And it seems fewer people are willing to sell at the current price)

Bitcoin Cash offers similar features and solutions to Litecoin, has the Bitcoin branding and is obviously being pumped hard. How do you see LTC competing against BCH, or do you believe there is room in the market for several transaction focused coins?

Let me answer this.....
BCH is pretty much Bitcoins bitch, the same branding and the same community and arguably the same damn thing trying to achieve the same goals as Bitcoin and only has a place in the crypto era because it piggy backed into popularity by holding onto Poppa's coat tails, the early adopters of BTC will lead the vote in BCH and the majority of those person's have made it clear over the years that BTC should have some regulation and be incorporated into the well established trading network of the centralized world banking institutions, if BCH was standing on its own without BTC backing LTC would stand taller in the attempt to decentralize the wealth of the world.
The face and founder of LTC has just lately come forward and gave his thoughts on crypto and how he believes it will replace the decentralized dollar (which is really the strongest currency in the world), the supporters that have mined it and traded it for years at low prices have not been doing it only for fun but because they support a decentralized currency across borders that are not backing wars and political bull shit that central banks engage in.

There surely is room in the decentralized market for several transaction focused coins, yet BCH is entering into the centralized crypto realm as the holders push further and further into the worlds mainstream banking infrastructure

Bitcoin and BCH are hand in hand - no denying that - and litecoin is on a different level where it is not selling out just to make a higher value for itself, it is not even in the same race as BCH and is not trying to compete, the whole competition thing in crypto is a BTC thing, there is not a team pumping LTC like the BCH pumpers are doing with their coin, litecoin simply is believed in as being a coin that will not be controlled by governments and can be used anonymously without oversight.

138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: December 18, 2017, 12:15:12 AM
The Shiba has lost some of its fun, when it first launched it was full of doges going to the moon and Wow, where did the fun go with Doge?
I think the Shiba accidentally grew up.

I would like to see some fun back in the Doge, or did its community grow up also?

Hey, are you fun with me? Undecided
I want to know about mining but you reply this post only a image. What do you mean by this?I don't understood.

Just sit down, read as many topics as you can, there is tons of information for new folks starting.

Read for about 4 days, then if you have any questions, bam ask away buddy!

When I first started I was on this forum for 18 hours a day just reading, for my first 2 weeks consuming everything I could. 18 hours a day. So sorry, I don't like it when people want shit spoon fed to them. Helping people that can't find the answers after putting in the work and effort to look for is totally different.

The difference is the bum that has the sign that says "Feed Me" vs the guy that is willing to pump your gas or wash your windows. I'll help someone out willing to put forth some effort, not the bum with the free hands up sign.

Lots of info and the miner is right, put some work into it first and then ask some questions, the forum has a bunch of info and just learning the technical terms is going to be important - imagine someone tells you how to start mining and you have no clue what the hell they are talking about cause you don't know what a port is or how many you have.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Verge XVG Dev team ? on: December 17, 2017, 11:55:43 PM
I guess he made the most mooooney hahhaha

I doubt he sold any yet, seems like when someone with a high level of exposure tweets out about a coin the coin climbs really high in price, i would buy more if Coinbase would just let me transfer more Mula.
