121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling strategy, What do you think? on: December 29, 2018, 06:06:30 AM
Making strategies is not hard but executing them and finding expected results are really hard with respect to gambling. Most of the time when I am into gambling, I'm always deviating from my strategies as I will be getting new ideas while gambling so that I will be making quick profits rather than going by strategy for making slow profits. But, I was never successful with any of my strategies. I must say that strategies are some reasons why we are continuing with gambling.
I agree that when we are gambling among many losses, we might need some outside help to continue with our gambling. Many gamblers are taking that help in the form of strategies. Even strategies are not actually helping them but it is giving them some moral support to continue the process of chasing their losses or going greedy.

Whatever strategies you will be applying, the final results of gambling will not change because it is just the outcome of how your luck is working for you for that day.
122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: December 28, 2018, 02:16:26 PM
Lakers played with their young players after Lebron was injured. It was really a sight to see, I was hoping for some improvements and I have seen a little bit of better playing from them but defense was really not what it should be.

Offensively, they were alright (except free throws) but they played alright however defensively they could have been a lot better. This was a team of Lonzo-hart-Ingram-Kuzma-Zubac and that team is literally consists of 3 players at age of 21 and 2 players at 23, think about how young they are and how much road they have in front of them.

If Lakers could keep the same five (maybe no need for Zubac) for another 5-6 years they could be a real threat to other teams. Of course they lost to Kings which shows you how much they need to improve and they are just starting out and still quite bad but I am sure if Lebron didn't come and this was the team Lakers put together they could still push playoffs or at least not finish with a horrible record.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: It is right to come back? on: December 28, 2018, 08:33:07 AM
I think the rise and fall of the crypto price is normal. Even if this may be a trap, we should have the courage to invest because the benefits always coexist with risk.
But unfortunately no one is ready to understand these normal thing of crypto world. People always want only positive market and when the market is appearing negatively then they just want to leave off it. That is the reason we are having severe down fall so far. When we understand ups and downs of markets then we will go for holding and then investing more which will be good for all of us in long term basis.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can we do for shit coins in our wallet? on: December 28, 2018, 06:54:41 AM
I have done some bounty campaigns that were unsuccessful.. Also some were scams. But I have received some tokens from few of that projects. So I need to know this, Is there any opportunity that can I use this tokens?  Smiley Smiley
Now it's just a garbage. Many of bounty projects are inactive and forgotten by devs. Make a conclusions, in which bounty will not participate in future.
Yes, we must learn lessons from our past bitter experience. There will be no meaning of participating in each and every bounty programs we are just seeing. We are not just participating but we are also encouraging scam people to misuse our time and efforts. When we choose them very carefully after many layer of filtering out then there will be no such problem of holding shitscoins in our wallets.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on: December 27, 2018, 06:27:16 PM
Bitcoin betting seems like it is both getting bigger and smaller at the same time lately. I mean it looks like it is getting bigger by looking at all the new casinos and dice and sportsbooks that is popping up daily and trying to grab some market share by giving out amazing promotions but at the same time it looks like gambling used to be the number one thing people did with their coins to make more coins however they prefer losing their money trading altcoins these years instead of betting, at 1% house edge it looks like gambling is a more sure fire thing to do than trading at least for 2018 Cheesy.

I don't know how the wagered amounts look compared to other years but I can speak on the "hype" value of gambling and how it looks like it is losing some hype to trading which is more hyped at least for the past 1 or 1.5 years. Mining even was more hyped than gambling for a while but now its not making money to anyone.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hope ahead for crypto currencies on: December 27, 2018, 01:17:32 PM
In my opinion, cryptocurrencies should become more confidential and the future belongs to such cryptocurrencies as ZCash or PIVX. But Bitcoin will not cease to be the main cryptocurrency and over time will get a lot of changes that will make it more confidential and perfect. I think that the cryptocurrency market in 20 years will have little in common with the current market.
Being confidential is also one of major criteria for the success of a coin, but I believe that alone will not be enough for being successful. I mean any coin may adopt such a feature if they want to incorporate into existing system. I read bitcoin is also going to have stealth functionality as an optional as some major development is going on based on this feature. Hence, this alone will not be a big thing which will be deciding the future of cryptocurrencies.
127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling strategy, What do you think? on: December 27, 2018, 09:37:51 AM
Everyone will be preferring having their own plan and strategy for their gambling but unfortunately the gambling environment will not support you to execute your plans and strategies. Moreover, it will collapse all your plans and will lead you to take instant decisions which eventually will lead to big losses at some point of time. This is a typical gambling experience everyone will go experiencing regardless of whatever plan they have planned before getting into gambling. Yes, gambling is as dangerous as you could imagine.

OP is planning to double or triple his bankroll through sports betting. But I'm not thinking it will not be a big task but at the same time it is too hard to achieve. We need to consider how sports results are swinging due to various reasons like fixing and injuries to players.
128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Floyd Mayweather set for New Year's Eve fight in Japan on: December 25, 2018, 06:36:25 PM
I kept thinking it was christmas eve and not new years eve and I was looking for the fights highlights everywhere thinking I missed the fight somehow but apparently I was wrong Cheesy It is on new years eve. Considering this is just a promotional fight with no risk of title and all I doubt both fighters would really care.

Tenshin may try a bit harder than Mayweather considering he is undefeated and tenshin would love to be the first person to beat him but since it will be off the records I doubt it will really matter that much. If it was a legit fight than it would really be a shame to get mayweather spend time on stuff like this, he should fight real opponents instead of stuff like this but I bet there is a whole lot of money involved so it makes sense. This doesn't mean the pacman fight is canceled btw, I still think they will have one in 2019 but it will be later in the year.
129  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2019 on: December 25, 2018, 05:14:18 PM
Where do you see Bitcoin Value by end of 2019?

Is it good idea to buy Bitcoin in 2018?
We are getting closer and closer to the new year. I am just hoping that this new year brings us a lot of new investors, a lot of new moves from governments, more laws and finally all the countries that doesn't tax crypto properly will do that and we can get a faster adoption rate.

I hope a lot of stores start to accept bitcoin and we could use our coins to purchase regular stuff as well. Basically I want 2019 to be the year when bitcoin becomes as mainstream as it gets and used everywhere. I know its not possible to achieve such a thing under one year but that is my new years wish.

2019 seems like a positive year and prices have been steadily going down whole year in 2018 so in order to balance that out I hope 2019 would be a year when price doesn't just skyrocket back to 20 thousand dollars but just slowly and gradually increases back to 20 thousand dollars throughout the whole year.

131  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning day trading on: November 22, 2018, 10:59:41 AM
How are people learning how to day trade? What are you methods?

Personally I've done the signal groups etc but found them very hit and miss. I'm not good enough to do my own TA (and can TA really help for day trading - no idea?).

Only method I've found that I find works was taught here: https://discord.gg/nCmjwmQ

It focuses on getting in and out of v.high volume coins as they naturally fluctuate.

Cheers!
Learning how to trade is very similar to learning any other activity, you need to find the best way in which you learn and then follow that method, in my case I am way better learning from books than most people and it is also a lot more efficient and cheaper since you can learn most of what you need to know about trading from a few books that are relatively cheap.
Exactly, this is something that can basically be considered as trying to go to school or for some courses to learn some profession, so as to be able to do well in the long run. Trading is a profession which can lead to a business depending on how well you are able to do something substantial to benefit from it, but nothing good ever comes out from it, for those who decided to take it with levity without at least learning as much as they can. Day trading most especially is not for the faint hearted and those who get emotional easily, this is a style of trading you really want to be executing your strategy without any form of emotion at all.

Tokens Continue to Take a Hit: is SEC Preparing to Target Crypto Projects?

https://www.ccn.com/tokens-continue-to-take-a-hit-is-sec-preparing-to-target-crypto-projects/

Let's discuss!

It's normal don't worry almost a year we all suffering for the bitcoin price falling down their price value, nothing new for this because for me 2018 is bitcoin correction hoping early next year bitcoin will moves in good condition.
Well, I guess by now, a lot of people should have gotten used to this. This is not something I expect anyone to be worried about to the least, considering the fact that whatever has made a lot of people dump out of panic, that is pretty much their own cup of tea as they are basically doing what the whales and institutions want them to do.

I am actually looking forward to the day where the market will be less speculative, and any whale will actually get burned instead. For me, I will say, no one should be deceived by anything going on right now but should be looking at it as a means to accumulate more which is the most important as far as I am concerned.
The thing is that it takes being knowledgeable to be able to get used to, which is one thing a lot of people, actually are not. Take a look at the mentality a lot of people brought into this space initially, with the media calling all sorts of moon, and then seeing people buying into the FOMO with the promises of a market that is going to grow out of nothing but greed.

Nothing warranted that growth except people who just wanted to get rich overnight, and lo and behold, the whales took advantage of that and here we are now with them wallowing in their fear of what tomorrow holds or selling out of panic. Until they get used to the fact like you said by trying to understand the long term potential of what they have in their hands before they will know what to always do appropriately.
133  Economy / Speculation / Re: CSW's "hash wars" impact on BTC price? on: November 18, 2018, 06:29:45 PM
Will this be a non event or speculators will try to get some BTC out of it from noobs that fall into it?

bitcoin speculators have never shown any interest in mining and hashrate so far. they didn't even care about the bitcoin cash itself and the hashrate that it stole from bitcoin. so I don't see why they should care about fork of fork of bitcoin and what that does!

it is funny that I all I can think of is all these empty blocks Cheesy
so far we have 32 MB block space for BCH that is 99% empty and now when it forks to a new coin we will have 2 set of empty blocks that nobody uses at all... it is like an abandoned house of horror....
Well, it is now a good time for Roger to get a feel of what it is going to be like for his own useless forked coin that was never necessary in the first place. Everything was so glaring that increase in block size is never the solution and how long was he planning to keep increasing the block size anyway? Until it practically becomes centralized?
Just like someone rightly said, this is him getting a taste of his own medicine, just that in this case, it is a useless coin that no one cares about and I really will not see it impacting much on bitcoin itself anyway.
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is best practice for gambling?? on: November 17, 2018, 08:06:49 AM
Actually you don't really need experience and skills in a gambling game dude. because what is used to win is luck. the practice you do might not have any effect. but it is not a problem to try it with a demo or with a faucet capital. to be more familiar with the game. so you can enjoy it more
There's a good practice that every gambler has to do and that is limiting ourselves of the money that we are putting at risk.

I think that the "practice" you understand is the one that you keep on mastering. There are practices that one should do and will have an effect but it depends to the gambler on how he'll apply it to himself.
There is difference in practice for being a gambler and practice to win in gambling and probably the practice to win in gambling is none other than you can do some frauds but being an gambler needs to e much considered about the money they were playing and also the time which is important for them to stay away from addiction.
Most times, even if you try to want to do something fraudulent, you will most definitely end up getting caught and banned from the casino forever. The best practice for any gambler is to just make sure he is in control every single time when it comes to trying as much as possible to stay sane and not lose guard when it comes to getting overwhelmed with the activities of gambling so as not to get into the addictive mode. As long as you are able to control yourself, you know gambling is just for fun, and you are not attaching anything else to it, then that is the best practice for anyone.
135  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to buy on: November 16, 2018, 07:53:51 AM
is anyone keeping count still of the times bitcoin is dyeing? what are we at now?

Bitcoin has died 315 times and counting

https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoinobituaries/

Oh! Those deaths even mentioned on 99bitcoins are some of the death called by some so called economist and self-claimed financial gurus, the number of times this has popped up alone on this thread is far more than 315, so let's just assume we are adding all that together with this 315.

By now, I actually thought people should have known better than claiming some obituary possibilities for bitcoin when of course they know nothing. We are in a new era, times are changing and we are plainly on our way to better days with the usage of bitcoin in the long run. Those who want to stick with obituaries, let's see how it will end up working out for them.
136  Economy / Economics / Re: ETFs on: November 15, 2018, 07:42:54 AM
ETF will just make it easy for regular people and specially mid forties type of age people to get into bitcoin without really fearing about it, unfortunately bitcoin is still not that easy to obtain for old people, when you are in something it looks simple but when you are outside looking in it may look terrifying.

Right now the best example is probably coding, if you know one language of programming and write just "hello world" it is the simplest thing in the world, any coder who can do any decent programming will tell you making a program write "hello world" would take probably 10 seconds at most, however if you have NO idea how coding works than you wouldn't even have a clue WHERE to write it to begin with. Same with bitcoin, when you are a bitcoin follower and care about it is simple but when you are mid forties worrisome person it looks like its dangerous.
137  Economy / Speculation / Re: People are Calm!! on: November 10, 2018, 01:28:59 PM
Mostly people are not calm because of the market situation that has not changed for more months already. Well some calm for the reason’s of they believe the future of crypto. I believe also about btc future that it can stand and survive.
Maybe you are not, but I am and I am sure every other person who has been in this market for a while, who have been in this market newly but understands the great potential of the market in the future and the chance for a huge adoption, will not really be bothered about what is going on now.

I think that is actually most people’s problem, they want everything to happen fast, they do not want to be patient, they do not understand how market even operates and all they are just busy looking for is quick means to get rich fast, but at the end, they just end up screwing up everything for themselves, don't they?
138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Floyd Mayweather set for New Year's Eve fight in Japan on: November 08, 2018, 04:00:22 PM
Alright so mayweather got himself a gig with this kickboxer to prep himself for the upcoming pacman fight, I can understand the need to find something new because if he only fought with someone regular in boxing world than the world wouldn't have taken notice, he fought pacman and than conor and now if he goes back and fights a contender than nothing would come out of it, he has to fight someone different.

Pacman did the other way, he just found someone who is barely good enough for him, he won't be fighting some unknown person but also not fighting against a rising star with all knock outs neither, he is fighting a decent fighter, opposite of what mayweather is doing which again shows the brilliance of mayweather in marketing. Lets see the results and the fights to try to get an estimate of if pacman still has it and if mayweather is still good to know what could happen between a fight those guys.
139  Economy / Economics / Re: If you had 10000$ on: November 08, 2018, 06:14:34 AM
If you had 10000$ where would you invest it?  I'm hoping for 10x in about 2 years, how would you personally split that money? There are so many altcoins that I dont know which to pick, I remember the top 5 altcoins from years ago and  now they are all gone, so should I only invest in  BTC end ETH or others like NEO, ADA and EOS?
That is the wrong mindset, you already know how much you want to earn and when you want to do it, what will happen if the market is still behaving like it does right now, do you think you will be able to hold your coins? What you need to do is to find quality coins that you know you can hold and then just wait until those coins give you profits regardless of how large those profits actually are.
Unfortunately, that is the mindset a lot of people normally have coming into this space. They hear all over the news that some people got pretty rich while holding bitcoin, but they did not realize that most of these people have been holding for years. Of course, they won't understand.

The thing here right now is that there is no way you can actually get the best when you are so much focused on the short term and this is where a lot of people tend to get it mostly wrong. Rather than taking the full sight of the long run, they lose sight of it and then looking for quick gains in the short term. I really see how that works for most of them.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Influence of Bounty Participants on: November 07, 2018, 04:24:34 PM
One thing with a project being exposed to more bounty participants is that, the more the bounty participants, the more the project will be projected out there and the more likely the project will get at being successful. At the end of it all, the same allocation that would go for more bounty hunters is the same allocation that will go for less bounty hunter.

Secondly, the idea of bounty hunters dumping their tokens is not something that will limit the growth of the project in the long run, and it is not like even with fewer participants holding more of the token, that won't still be possible. The teams of projects know this, and they really would prefer a successful ICO than trying to limit their promotional campaign.
