121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 95% lol. No chance. SegWit is now dead. on: January 23, 2017, 10:51:59 PM
this is why 75% of pools are undecided about softforks.
Undecided is what is killing us.  We get no changes if 'undecideds' are allowed to count.  We should only count those who vote.  If a node expresses 'undecided' he is rejected.  Winner take all.
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fiverr no longer accepts Bitcoin on: January 23, 2017, 12:40:09 AM
Did they give a reason why they are not accepting btc anymore?

Yes.  They said it was because Bitcoin is now dead.
123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit vs Bitcoin unlimited on: January 22, 2017, 07:47:42 PM
Every hardfork without overwhelming support can cause a network split.

Do not fear a network split.  Network splits are how we get to the most efficient system the fastest.  Who cares if 'bitcoin's reputation suffers'?  Who cares if the price goes down?  Only the speculators.  Price will go up even more if we achieve a very high performance system in five years.  Network split only fucks up the price in the short term and messes with speculator profits.  However, if we have 10 network splits, or forks, we will have ten great versions to learn which one kicks the most ass.
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / SegWit / BU? Either/Or? on: January 22, 2017, 05:31:49 PM

"When you come to a fork in the blockchain, take it!"
 -Yogi Berra

There is no reason at all why we have to choose either SegWit or 8MB.  These are simply not mutually exclusive.  Each provides certain benefit valued by different schools of thought, but neither harms the other.

Clearly from the present state of things, it is a tie at best.  nodecounter

With our current thinking (95%), neither of these will be adopted.  This is just fucking stupid.  Nothing prevents us from adopting BOTH.

I think we should accept SegWit AND 8MB on the same day.  This way, everyone gets what they want.  Blockstream's Lightning will be enabled, and the blockchain will have good transaction capacity for the next few years until LN gets up to full speed.  Everyone wins.

Why not?
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: btc china fake volumes on: January 11, 2017, 11:23:44 PM
Its pretty widely known that most of the Chinese exchanges are faking volumes

Chinese fake everything.  They even fake baby formula and killed 6 babies.  They used fake melamine to trick the tests into looking like a quality product.  Not to worry that kids are dying, in China too many kids make it seem like a few lost won't be so bad.

In China, faking shit is just normal.
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Fucking Chinese on: January 11, 2017, 08:59:16 PM
China is really annoying indeed, they pumped and dumped again and due to that the price was going down fast.
Every time they do this trick, the whole world loses millions of dollars and the Chinese just get ever more richer!  This kind of shit should be illegal.  They are playing everyone for fools and taking their money.
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Breaking News! PBOC inspects Chinese Bitcoin Exhcanges on: January 11, 2017, 07:25:39 PM
Chinese speculators are probably selling do to fears of fraud, fines, etc from the investigations.

Price will rebound, and non-believers will be punished.
Punishment is good.  I hope they do it with a cane.
128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Fucking Chinese on: January 11, 2017, 07:09:44 PM
Slush is a jew and he fares well so far  Tongue dont know what sploondies is
Sploonies is a jew company that are royal shit for producing dumb ass product.  Way too much heavy duty long lasting parts - all to be thrown in the trash as out of date after 18 months.  No need to use a 5 year power supply on a device to be discarded in 1.5 years.  So, they went broke.

But, it is not just that the Chinese know how to make good equipment cheap, they also know how to steal electricity very cleverly and fill the air with pollutants for all their neighbors to breath.   Fucking up the Earth no problem for Chinese.
China is the cause of this fucking nightmare volatility.  Chinese people are like cockroaches when you turn the light on.  One word in the press and they scatter.  You've got to say this, they put energy into the action.  Holy fuckin' Hong Kong Fuey!
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Fucking Chinese on: December 27, 2016, 10:47:58 PM
Yeah, they are really like that man.  Those fuckers will spit in church.  That there is some nasty shit.
On Christmas no less.  Hey, wait a minute, do they have Christmas in China?
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUCK! The Bitcoin is dead again. This time for sure. on: December 27, 2016, 07:10:41 PM
investment of over $14 billion

See, that is the problem right there.  Many people here are very unsophisticated.  They can't discern the difference between '$14 Billion investment' and '$14 Billion valuation'.

Because these very stupid people can't understand these very different concepts, they just keep on buying, and buying.  Thus, we have a 'natural Ponzi scheme'.  Bitcoin offers no utility nor function to anyone.  It is simply a 'buy and hope' speculator's tool.  There is no revenue.  There are no earnings.  It is just a more inflated 'market cap' day after day.  A total Ponzi scheme.

131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUCK! The Bitcoin is dead again. This time for sure. on: December 26, 2016, 08:24:47 PM
It's always good to revisit the classic during Christmas. I was just listening to some George Michael, Last Christmas is such an oldschool classic song, and I was enjoything this already classic thread. Im also looking for some other "Bitcoin is dead" threads and enjoying the price rally in the meantime. This Christmas all the Bitcoin haters are getting BTFO hard. What a time to be alive. I can't wait for what 2017 has to offer. Hopefully we can get Segwit and keep improving Bitcoin as we march towards 10k.
SegWit is an altcoin.   That is not Bitcoin.  It is not even 'like' Bitcoin.

132  Other / Meta / Re: wtf? Weird censorship here. on: December 24, 2016, 06:50:32 PM
It was just an idiot trying to scare people.

He was trying to get people to understand that it doesn't matter if the key is there.  Similar to showing that stupid picture of the sun and talking about molecules.

Denying that the key in on the site is just incorrect.  RawDog wasn't scaring people, he was educating people about infinity.

To me it looks like the mods are idiots.  To them, dumber is better somehow.

133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NOT Upgrading to SegWit who's with me?! on: December 22, 2016, 08:57:40 PM

Segwit is still trial and error.
SegWit is losing.  Probably not going to happen now.  No support.  Not even near 95% required.
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will we stop the evil free market Chinese? on: December 22, 2016, 08:55:55 PM
It will take a huge effort to get rid of Chinese people,
Don't get rid of Chinese.  Then there will be no more cheap things.
135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This asshole published my private key! on: December 22, 2016, 08:54:02 PM
I think, the important part is there "It took a lot of computing power to generate this database. Donations welcome: blabla" lol. I'll bet with anyone that my private keys aren't in the site and won't be in the following decade. There's no point in bruteforcing private keys, but the site looks like a matrix and may have emotional impact on some naive people and maybe even get them send their appreciation in donation lol.
I looked for my private key.  Couldn't find it.  I don't think it is really there.
136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 22 Hours and still 3 unconfirmed transactions - what do I do now? on: December 22, 2016, 08:18:42 PM
Maybe you better wait, I guess that there is a problem on their system so that they do not confirm your transaction. It is natural to me because I've experienced the same thing for 2 days. Or maybe you can call the contact listed to ask, it would be effective to answer your question.

Yes, all we can do is just wait. I also have 3 unconfirm transactions on my coinbase account. The question was, why is this happening?
This is happening because GMaxwell wants you to buy access to his private high capacity off chain network.  They had to choke the shit out of transaction bandwidth to create demand for their 'off chain' solutions.  It is a scam to move money away from miners and into their privatized systems.

For now, you can just suck an egg until the Chinse miners come to their senses and kick Core out.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fucking Chinese - Part 2 on: December 16, 2016, 09:09:24 PM
That's the problem with PoW, for sure Satoshi was not thinking about ASICs when he make the coin. And chinese or not, there's a lot of wasted electricity wasted on mining, on the other side some people don't have electricity.

Stealing? lol hope they stay in jail.

Satoshi used FPGAs (arguably less energy efficient) early on to find a large quantity of blocks.

The issue isn't so much the electricity, or the effective monopoly they have over there with the mining equipment, or the laggy GFC.. its the utter dishonesty displayed by the majority of the players over there. Mining each others headers (Antpool, F2pool, BW, BTCC, VIABTC all do it), submitting empty blocks, block withholding (particularly antpool), scavenging to include only the tx's with the best fees. It's actually embarrassing for most, but they don't care, its a living for them.

I don't think it's possible to embarrass a Chinese guy. I was walking in the Fillmore and this Chinese guy walking in front of me farted real loud and then hocked up a green lugie that killed a pigeon on the ground.
I think they outlawed manners and decency in China.
138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Fucking Chinese on: December 16, 2016, 08:57:08 PM
chinaman say "Many hands make light work".
They got a lot of hands, that's for sure.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will we stop the evil free market Chinese? on: December 16, 2016, 08:56:19 PM
Is this a racist thread?Huh
If Chinese are actually evil, is it still racist?  And is it so that racist threads are problematic?
140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am sorry to say, Mike Hearn was right. on: December 16, 2016, 08:55:02 PM
These Circle jerkers will soon realize that they made a huge mistake to turn against the Bitcoin community.
They didn't turn against Bitcoin, Bitcoin turned against them.
