Not sure what the issue is with zergpool every time I join there is at least a few GH/s and then within a few hours everyone drops off but me. Then I switch off to somewhere else. Go back and check again several hours later and sometimes there are people there again other times no. Every time I re-join I end up being the only one there after a couple hours.
People can't make up their minds on where they want to leave their hash. lol
Zergpool is most profitable when you are using profit switching. Most everyone is using sniffdog or nemos and since the pool is smaller they chase the lower block difficulty through several algos and the pool converts to the coin of their choosing. You end up making a ton more than you would just mining a single coin. |

Is it possible to mine a particular coin (e.g. DGB)? (I mean to mine DGB and get BTC, not to get payouts in DGB)
Yes. You can mine anything and get paid in BTC. BTC is actually the only payout that's 100% guaranteed. In the miner you need to set your username to your BTC address and the pw to c=BTC |

I am software/game developer and I am working on a gaming related blockchain project. I know little about digibyte gaming and read about it is ended because it does not have a sustainable model. Can someone explain to me how digibyte gaming was distributing the coins and why its model was unsustainable? You mine every coin in the x17 algo. If you set your payout to xvg like you've done the pool autoexchanges the shield to xvg based off btc price of both coins plus an exchange fee. |

Anything outside of BTC uncertainty that has caused such a dramatic price decrease with XSH?
I've been following for a while and there is nothing that I can see, the only other possible reason is that possibly some of the bad Verge publicity rubbed off on Shield. One big problem was stocks.exchange had withdraw issues which made a lot of people stop using that place. Community came together to pay to get listed on coinexchange. This all happened while BTC started to drop.  Any chance of getting listed on cryptopia so you can get mined again on some of the larger pools? I'm sure we will get there soon, cryptopia is currently having so many issues so I think right now they can't cater on adding any more new coins. If you ask me I think it's better if shield will just stay in coinexchange and not be added on cryptopia, currently shield seems to regain its previous hype and is now being talked about again, the community is so strong with this project so I think being added in cryptopia will do more harm than good with shield. Cryptopia is getting so much negative reviews right now and shield doesn't really need to be a part of that. You say bad reviews but coinexchange can't even make their btc payouts to zpool or zergpool and they have to keep disabling shield as a coin to mine or being paid in. If cryptopia is bad coinexchange is a dumpster fire right now. |

And since you wind up paying an exchange fee anyhow (mined coins -> BTC -> Payment coin) I personally recommend just taking BTC and exchanging it yourself. This way you can control the timing better (worse case its a wash as your paying the exchange fee either way)
Suppose you mine ETH and want to be paid in XMR, the pool will change to BTC before changing to XMR!? If you want to mine ETH and get paid in XMR you are double hosed. They don't mine ETH or XMR. The only coins you can get paid in are ones that they mine and since they don't mine XMR you are sol. |

Just wanted to say what a shitty day it is for all crypto. December and most of January were incredible - now garbage. Sometimes it's chicken, sometimes it feathers.
I thought BTC might get down in to the $6k range but it's at a freefall I'm hoping it only goes to $6k at this point.  |

You can also open the console and type in addnode 128.199.135.156 add for each if you're bored.
I tried console to remove one stalling node (7s ping, no activity for 5+ minutes) using this syntax, but didn't worked : addnode <ipaddress> remove or addnode <ipaddress:port> remove just got error -24 You shouldn't need to include the port. Try addnode IP add with that IP and then do the same with remove. I shutdown the wallet and restarted and realized that typing the addnode for the list included earlier didn't keep them saved so you might actually have to do it all in the config file |

On a side note I've held off on this one because everyone complained about how bad the wallet was and I've noticed that this wallet still draws around 8-15% of my CPU constantly. Meanwhile I opened up a few other wallets and they only hit the cpu for 0-4 on the cpu. Is there any reason for this?
While syncing it's normal for the wallet to use some CPU. You can't walk without burning some calories. After that, the wallet will fly. It's been fully synced for over an hour... |

Where is the lux.conf file? I can't find it
C:/Users/Admin(or user that you log in with)/%AppData%/Roaming/Lux AppData is a hidden folder so you'll have to turn those on. |

How long should take to connect to the nodes? I left it open since about 30 minutes but still all red. No connection at all. Peers are at zero (empty) completely since 30 mins
i start wallet and then forget about it for about a hour then just noticed that it start sync but i have edited lux.conf file I edited the conf file with the nodes on the previous page and wasn't getting anywhere so I deleted them, restarted, and it fired right up downloading. |
