I am pretty much this was because of fat fingers, but how an earth there's no security measures for this kind of thing? It's 2020 already and after seeing this kind of mistakes, i am pretty sure that ETH adoption is further away. Just one warning message informing about the possible huge mistake could have saved millions for this guy.
I don't think this is a mistake of the sender. I think this is a test of Ethereum's fee that the team wants to perform. No one would transfer a few hundred dollars and accept such a large fee. Do not FUD when you are still not sure what is happening and what is the cause.

I like to hear the official announcement if the owner of the said address if this is intentional, or a grave error on his part, we can only speculate unless they or he comes out, I search here in this forum and it's not part of any bounty campaign, but this is one example that you need to double or triple when sending coins.

Like pizza day (the one involving bitcoin) now we will start celebrating transaction day in which a guy paid $2.6M twice as a transaction fee to transfer .5 and 350 ETH.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the best features in a mobile crypto wallet? on: June 11, 2020, 07:53:51 AM
A mobile wallet that gives us control of our private key is my major requirement from any mobile wallet out there. Apart from that, some extra security function on the wallet is also great. Some good and easy to handle UI will seal the deal. Right now I am using Trust wallet and Enjin wallet(for NFTs).
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Someone just paid $2,6M in fees while sending just $133 in ETH on: June 11, 2020, 07:38:44 AM
Lol what is going on someone again paid $2,630,162 as a gas fee to transfer 350 ETH. I guess someone is really drunk or laundering money.

124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Picasso artwork sold for crypto on: June 10, 2020, 06:53:14 AM
I am fan of Picasso works. Honestly, this is the first time i know about this paint. I didn't also like it that much.
Now the question is why they chose that work to sell it for an unknown crypto without even mentioning the price !? Is this a strategy to promote the paint sale or the crypto used to sell it ? Why not just using bitcoin ?
I am not that pessimistic, but i don't think art fans/collectors will be interested in crypto just to purchase this paint .

Probably just a way to promote an unknown project, next thing you know they will come up with an announcement post saying that they are planning to run an ICO/IEO for the project.
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Watch out for the following on: June 10, 2020, 06:47:07 AM
Newbies like myself be warned, don't make crypto decisions because of the following, they are very misleading and extremely danger to your money

1. Crypto Analysts predictions
2. Hyped projects by billionaires or known people e.g McAfee
3. Going into futures and margin trading when you haven't even mastered normal trading

Seek for answers and you shall find, knowledge is power

LOL to all newbies I would suggest staying clear of the projects that McAfee endorses because so far I invested in 2-3 such crypto projects and the result was extremely bad lost almost 50% of the investment that I made lol.

Always DYOR.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 5 coin in this month? on: June 07, 2020, 06:13:38 AM
Top 5 coin in this month, to get 56% return?

1: Kava
2: Zil
3: QKc
4: Knc
5: Xvg

      Please drop your opinion

I had some $$$ invested on ZIL and man the returns they are providing because of the back to back news. XVG is pretty good too because their halving is coming up in July (i think) which could give a good higher return too.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is KCS or kucoin share is better investment on: June 07, 2020, 06:01:01 AM
Recently I started researching on best exchange coins apart from solid block chain projects , I found  bnb and Kucoin shares (KCS) Are having more events . Like bnb or binance token introduced lots of scheme in exchange , same like kucoin also introduced lending, poolex mining even more . I more liked this because they are regularly burning token . What’s your view on this before i put my hard earned money .

KCS is a good investment at a current price IMO plus the dividends that they pay to holders are quite good. I am into all the exchange tokens like OKB, HBT, BNB etc because I think in long they all will provide us with a good return on investment.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trying to decide on: June 06, 2020, 03:57:11 AM
Hey guys,

So I'm pretty new currently own some Ada, Vechain, ZIL RSR and Flexacoin.  Considering exchanging one of these for Dent, and maybe BAT.
I'm not into Bitcoin really but looking for a high reward possibility coin.  ANy insight or thoughts on any of these? or any high reward/risk ones you guys like?
I don't have a huge amount invested, but thinking about just going all in on Cardano and just holding to save the stress of looking any different ones.

WOuld love any tips or suggestions.  I like CHarles- Cardano alot, I really get the vibe they are onto something big....

$DENT could be a risky investment right now but they do have some good news coming which might help push the price a bit but investing in DENT is always risky lol. I lost a lot on it before. Also, give $ONE and $ENJ a read if you like Wink
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of good ETH forks? on: June 06, 2020, 03:47:33 AM
Does anybody know of any good ETH forks worth investing these days? I've previously invested into Expanse, only to lose a substantial amount of money because of the ever-decreasing prices on the market. I have some ETC left after the hard fork on 2016, but I'm tempted to sell it in exchange for other smart contract platforms with greater tech and features. While TRON and EOS are not ETH forks, they certainly look like a better option than ETH-based forks for long term investing.

Still, I'm on the hunt for good ETH forks that are popular in the mainstream world today. I plan to invest a little into each fork for diversification. If anyone knows a list of good ETH forks, please let me know. Any suggestions or recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley

ETH has tons of forks but ETC is the only one that you should invest in rest all are either dead or scam.
But I would suggest not to invest in any forks right now 'coz with the rumour of ETH 2.0 we might see a good movement on ethereum.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What erc20 wallet supports token search across wallets on: June 05, 2020, 08:43:22 AM

I have 3 Ethereum wallets, I used them for airdrops since 2017 so I have more than 200 tokens in each. Is there a fast and easy way to search for a particular token across the three wallets automatically?
Maybe an erc20 wallet?

I search manually using Etherscan, just need a faster alternative

I am not sure it this is the solution you are looking for but you can try using blox app. You would have to add 3 addresses in it after that you can search the token you are looking for.

The app is kind of a portfolio manager.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum planning to take over??? on: June 05, 2020, 07:30:51 AM
Ethereum poised to potentially outperform top crypto coins in near future, with the way I'm sensing things it seem ethereum is becoming more bullish by every minutes, here are few questions for you crypto lovers

1. Can Ethereum take over?
2. What will happen after the POS upgrade?
3. How do you see the 32Eth requirements for staking?

32 ETH requirement is not much in my opinion any mid level crypto investor would be easily be able to afford that if they are in crypto since early this year.

I don't think ETH would be able to take over BTC as the competitors are way advanced right now.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ERC20 Wallet Address on: June 04, 2020, 06:49:00 AM
Hi,
Sorry I am new to the Crypto world.
Trying to find out more details on the ERC20 Wallet Address and how Do I get one.
Is the ERC20 Wallet Address the same as the Etherium wallet address which I can get on coinbase.com?

Thanks

Don't use coinbase ETH address to receive the tokens because they don't list all ERC-20 tokens and if you send the wrong token their then funds might get lost. Always use the address of which you control the private key like from myetherwallet or Enjin wallet.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deflationary Tokens on: June 04, 2020, 06:44:16 AM
I am well aware of coins with controlled inflation like BTC, where a finite number of coins will be generated at a controlled rate. Very recently I came across deflationary tokens where coins are destroyed whenever a transaction is made and they will end at some time.
My question is what is the purpose of creating such coins? Are they worthy enough to be invested ?
I received some BOMB as an airdrop some time ago and out of sudden, it started mooning I sold them at $8-10 each. If you are talking about BOMB like token then If I were you I would not invest much in them because they are an extremely risky investment.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Finally!! EOS RAM and CPU Solution on: June 03, 2020, 04:52:21 AM
I too had a problem while transferring EOS as there was no CPU or RAM on my address so I used EOSauthority to make the transfer it was quite easy from there you won't have to enter your private key all you need to do is connect using scatter.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hodl altcoins or..? on: May 31, 2020, 06:21:02 AM
When bitcoin or ethereum starts to rise/drops which they usually do after 6-8 months of halving I think that would be the best time to buy alts (if you trade using BTC) because during that time mostly all the alts would be in red.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safe to join campaign does not mean rewarding campaign on: May 30, 2020, 09:29:46 AM
With so many campaigns it getting harder and harder to differentiate between good and bad projects and If we don't do proper research before joining them we could end up wasting our time on a wrong project. but these days almost 90-95% projects are either fake or will have 0 value upon listing lol.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HARMONY PROTOCOL on: May 30, 2020, 08:54:18 AM

100% of Foundational nodes tokens, expected to be unlocked during May 2020,  have been committed to.

That's another great news from the team
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Long ETH time with forkdelta.app on: May 29, 2020, 06:05:40 AM
Hello, I can't withdraw earned ETH from forkdelta.app for 3 days. no matter what GAS I pay ... Have any of you had a similar problem now?

Never had such problem with forkdelta.app before. Is there any specific error that you are getting while trying to withdraw your fund? If no then make sure you are paying enough gas. https://ethgasstation.info/
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exodus or Atomic wallet for ether ? on: May 29, 2020, 05:58:58 AM
Been using Exodus wallet for a long long time and I can't say I had any problem with them so far. Exodus's in wallet swap is quite good too.
But I think the atomic wallet has more coin availability (could be wrong).
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Way To Make Money From Crypto In 2020? on: May 28, 2020, 07:54:27 AM
HODLing is always the best way to increase your crypto portfolio but if you are a trader then the best option would be to follow the trend of the market and create a trading strategy according to that trend.
