I understand your frustration. But calling them names or cursing them will change nothing unfortunately. What you see here might as well have nothing to do with them having closed their ears. It could be that they just plainly don't understand the code so they are incapable of providing a fix. Months ago, when I did my research on Verge looking at the source code I realised that the lead dev is at most a Junior dev that lacks the experience to provide any high quality complex code. This has been proven so many times by their "accidental" mistakes or the copy/pastes that include bugs of others.. Any rants/vents I had, went immediately away. There was no point in venting at a fish because it will not fly.. Its incapable of doing this in the first place.. Take the whole thing as a lesson. An experience to make us smarter in researching and making our choices. Calling a dev a junior only because uses part of code from others dev makes you the junior here. I'm a dev too and I honestly do the same to release something faster. If you understand what other devs have done in their code is legit to use it (under proper licence). Such a person is a retard, and not a developer at all! To illustrate what has happened. - The retard Verge dude "justinvforvendetta" used the browser !!!THE BROWSER!!! to modify the !!!MAIN BRANCH!!! !!!WITHOUT TESTING!!! !!!OF A MULTI BILLION!!! project. - That code that the retard Verge dude changes was copy and paste, he failed to do some basic math, really really basic math. Please do not insult junior developers, by comparing such to the verge retard. -> My post is in general, not on what the person I quoted wrote. i guess they can't even send their cons to exchange to dump them at this stage LOL exchanges and pools works really well. Do you missed the train Guido and need to buy at dips?  there were no issues with any of the exchanges. pools found orphans during the attack. other than that there was no effect on regular users. we're putting out an update, and it will fix it. that's what we can do. it's the best we can do. no, they did not 13 hours of coins. it was some blocks during a 3 hour period.
something around ~250k coins, and the attack probably cost alot more than that, luckily.
we are glad this was brought to our attention, and we are already working on a sophisticated block verification routine.

Sorry to mess up this thread and topic a bit, but after i do not get for hours an answer on twitter, neither does the email function on the Verge homepage work, nor does someone respond on the Verge Bitcoin thread i have to try my luck here. I visited some hours ago the official Verge Twitter profil to read the news about the hash hack. While reading the tweed i noticed several messages offering a compensation for the attack by Verge. Send x Eth and you get some bonus back. Sounded legit to me as it was affilated to the hash attack and i suffered from it as well having had some hours only orphaned blocks on all my baikals, hence i fall victim to this damn scam on the official twitter page. Now, while i have myself for sure some vault for this i'am seriously angry about how on the official verge twitter page 100s of scams and fake messages that say they got the ETH back are tolerated and nobody cares about it?!?! How is this possible. After i realized i got scammed i even made a post in this tweet that its a scam and to remove it asap, nothing happened and people still fall after that scam. Only on that scam by now 12+ Eth have been transfered the last hours. Damn, i'am not a twitter guy and very rarely use it, but from an official Verge twitter profil i personal await its clean and at very least if this for some reason is not possible that there are warning messages about these scams!!!! But no, nothing, the whole official Verge Twitter profil is FULL of scams that are tolerated and people like me, fall victims to it. Fine, i lost some 1.8 ETH, but hourly these scams seems to collect a huge amount of ETH that way and nobody there at Verge cares? Seriously, so far i wondered about the twitter decision to ban crypto, but i begin to understand the decision. They must get shitload of complains from victims like me..... And what makes me even more angry ... no response: - Messaged some hours ago verge on twitter .... nothing, scams are staying and getting more and more - Put a tweet on the Verge tweet to remove the scams .... nothing, scams are just staying there - posted in the official bitcointalk Verge thread, nothing ...... - tried to email Verge about the ongoing scams .... email function on the homepage isn't even working, it just loads forever. And after 5 attempts to load it still loads after 2 hours, lol. I'am writting this as a XVG miner and lover, but this all makes me really sad and angry ..... not sure if you thought we had the ability to delete them, but we dont. we have written to twitter about this. it's happening to all major coins right now. =\ I'am not a twitter guy, no idea about other coins or twitter in general, but yes, i thought you can either block, ban or delete such messages as the profil owner. And as i wrote allready, if it is NOT possible for some reason, why no big warning on top?? I mean it seems you are aware of these 100's of scams on your official Verge profil, but people like me interested in XVG are not. nothing can be done, this has happened even with Vitalik, cz and many other important figures. It is up to Twitter to do anything about them (keep in mind there are paid people saying "thank you for X ETH" in order to lure you). |

Even if the project isn't a scam and pays the participants, the tokens paid could be worth nothing if the development of the project does not meet expectations / standards.

Keep in mind this captcha is actually used by Google's self-driving cars, so there is a reason it could be seen as annoying. I don't mind it because I know that it helps the development of a technology we might see in the near future (and which we might use)

Sansele sa poti obtine un imprumut fara dovada unui venit sunt minime, chiar tind spre zero. Asta in cazul in care vorbim de o varianta legala. Felul cum expui tu problema ca "lucrezi online" de fapt in traducere libera inseamna ca lucrezi la negru. Nu are importanta unde si in ce fel lucrezi (pe santier, online, munca fizica, consultanta, drepturi de autor, etc etc...) atat timp cat declari veniturile si esti legal. Chiar lucrand online poti sa iti faci PFA, dar va trebui sa platesti taxe, si asta este partea care cred ca nu iti convine. In cazul in care ai PFA atunci poti face dovada unui venit si poti obtine imprumuturi de la banci. Ca o alternativa, poti apela la sectiune de imprumuturi de pe forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=65.0. Aici nu te intreaba nimeni nimic de venit sau ce vrei sa faci cu banii si obtii imprumutul chiar si pe loc. Singurul lucru care conteaza este gajul pe care il pui (collateral). Acesta garanteaza ca iti vei plati datoria. Daca doresti sa apelezi la varianta asta, te sfatuiesc sa ai un gaj valid (gasesti acolo ce inseamna "valid collateral") altfel contul tau va fi marcat ca si scammer. Oricand mai ai optiunea sa de tuci la camatari si in cazul in care nu returnezi imprumutul ai varianta de a plati in maini si picioare rupte. In concluzie, daca nu ai nimic din cele enumerate mai sus, mai mult ca sigur nu o sa obtii un imprumut nici online nici offline. Multumesc de raspuns. Un lucru nu inteleg, cum pot sa aduc un collateral daca eu am nevoie de bani? Adica practic nu platesc niste bani ca sa primesc o suma mai mica de bani, si imi recuperez suma aia cand returnez banii? Unde e afacerea? Si niciodata nu as fi considerat camatari in viata mea, dar, I'm pretty desperate, deci pe astia cum ii gasesc in cazul in care nu rezolv nicicum ? Un collateral ii ca o garantie ca nu fugi cu banii. De obicei, acesta trebuie sa fie ceva foarte lichid (adica crypto populare).
