121  Other / Meta / Re: More default avatars? on: December 16, 2013, 08:09:08 AM
If the current default avatars can bd used it would be OK too. Even the currently default ones aren't working. I am not sure about this avatar vulnerability but can't it be fixed somehow? It already more than a month from that hack.
122  Other / Meta / Re: Proposal: Highly ignored uses should have their posts less visible, with opacity on: December 16, 2013, 08:06:14 AM
Totally agree with you, some of those yellow-colored ignore buttons need that. And if the person doesn't want to read. The reader can skip it easily. Though ignore button is doing a good job.
123  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why did you come to Bitcointalk? on: December 16, 2013, 07:46:38 AM
Because this is the official bitcoin forum and one of the first results relate to bitcoins. Personally I came here looking for a way to buy bitcoins without sending my documents to an exchanger.
124  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I see live current value of LTC to USD thanks? on: December 16, 2013, 07:42:13 AM
The btc-e price is relatively accurate and you can sell/buy a large number of btc's at it as it's one of the largest (if not the largest) ltc to cash and vice versa exchanger.
125  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What happens to a transfer if it never reaches destination? on: December 16, 2013, 07:39:20 AM
You can check what happened to that transfer in the galaxycoin block chain with the details provided by the exchange pool. Mostly this is due to issues in cryptsy and you might need to contact them.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any altcoin promising? on: December 16, 2013, 07:34:09 AM
Alt-coins are difficult to trust completely as every once in a while one of them either drops significally in value or a fatal flow or vulnerability is discovered. even the coin network being small and attacked.
People say some good things about qwack and Ftc but I am not sure aboit any of them.
127  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BUY/SELL Between Exchanges - Think about it.... on: December 16, 2013, 07:30:43 AM
It's a great question and this method could be of some benefit when there is a difference between btc-e,bitstamp and coinbase but please exclude mtgox as money in there can't be withdrawn in most of the world.
The reason why Btc-e is Lower in price is the difficulty to fund your account (and the associated high fees of bankwire, funding to perfectmoney etc...) .
128  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Faucets are a joke! on: December 16, 2013, 07:26:31 AM
Well that's right but whatdo you expect? They pay you that 0.01 cent for free (at least for entering a captcha).
Generally they make there money from advertisement sales and high traffic,if they pay every one of those "high traffic" they would be paying more than what advertisers pay them.
129  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cheap Bitcoins on: December 16, 2013, 07:23:01 AM
Very suspicious since your name is the same site's name and that you individually decided to post in here with a new account. Also why should they do that (they could just sell in bitstamp or mtgox or coinbase or any other place).

132  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question:Total amount of bitcoin on: December 09, 2013, 02:58:40 PM
I think you can check the number of total bitcoins currently existing using bitstamp, and blockchain.info but not sure about it. and the total market cap with the current price.
133  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin again reaching 1000$ latest news from 4dbitcoin on: December 09, 2013, 02:38:21 PM
Bitcoins is getting more volatile than usual and now going down by $500 and up $500 ($1000 in collection). lets see if it will reach the $1500 mark in the coming days.
btw that price is on mtgox right?
134  Other / Meta / Re: well, the avatar here is so bugged on: December 09, 2013, 02:30:23 PM
it's not a bug,it's stopped for the time being since a previous hack which used avatars. and apparently the admin didn't fix it until now and keeping it disable until it's fixed.
135  Other / Meta / Re: Authentication/2FA on: December 09, 2013, 02:25:44 PM
Great idea  Smiley ,specially for important commercial and administrative accounts and any account that can be potentially used to scam with. and with the hack there is an increased risk though most already changed passwords (and the possibility of future hacks).
136  Other / Meta / Re: [Split] I have over 33,000 bitcoins. on: December 09, 2013, 02:14:02 PM
I had posted here with joke about sending BTC to my BTC address in my profile.

and this post was deleted,  Just want to know why and was it the OP that deleted this post.

and probably this post will be deleted also, fuck knows why???

Maybe a mod considered it begging? You should get a message when it's deleted. This thread is not self-moderated, so it was probably a mod.

thanks, I didn't know that mods did this especially for this ridicules thread.
anyway it was a joke and didn't expect to get anything, and if I did I would of panicked with stolen BTC in my wallet, if true.

I did get message see below, and it doesn't say anything about shouldn't beg. Maybe they should include why message was deleted as it would help dummies like me  Tongue
And seriously why don't they just delete this bullshit thread. But I suppose there are dummer people than me. It's dum and dummer here.   Grin Cheesy Wink

A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by a Bitcoin Forum moderator. Posts are most frequently deleted because they are off-topic, though they can also be deleted for other reasons. In the future, please avoid posting things that need to be deleted.

The mod must have considered it trolling or begging :p ,the model for the notification messages is a default one regardless of the cause and off-topic posting is the most common cause for deletion but adding different models depending on the "law broken Tongue " seems pretty useful.
137  Other / Meta / Re: Can't set an avatar on: December 09, 2013, 01:52:26 PM
I can't even use one of the forum's default avatars, pretty annoying specially if you don't like having your username with no picture attached to it. People said this is due to some attack that used avatars as an exploitable point.
138  Other / Meta / Re: ASICSRUS/haightst - Trolling & spam on: December 09, 2013, 01:48:42 PM
The primedice topic is full with his posts (with more than one account apparently) .and the really annoying thing is that he asks for bribes clearly in public to leave there topics free.
139  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: lowering the search time limit on: December 09, 2013, 01:44:43 PM
I agree with you,I sometimes look for the same topic but with different address or names or just click the button twice. waiting for 6 mins is too much and even if it's lowered to a single minute after I increase my activity it's still too much. Maybe 10-20 seconds is more productive.
140  Other / Meta / Re: Was today's shutdown a DDOS? on: December 09, 2013, 01:29:50 PM
the main attack was a man-in-the-middle attack and the forum was perhaps ddos'ed later to hide this . I guess the hacker did this to obtain user's data and this forum isn't like mtgox and exchangers and I don't think it will cause a price crash if it was ddos'ed
