121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: *- RED CROSS donate suggestion -* on: June 21, 2011, 08:19:42 PM
There was a former employee of a NPO that posted here once. It is very unlikely they will take donations in bitcoins. It still best to donate money. Just how the EFF is not allowed to cash donated bitcoins because it would be conflict of interest with most NPOs since donations would have to convert to usuable currency in the status quo. Also most neutral NPO won't directly associate themselves with bitcoins due to it's grey legal area. Just donate established currency for now.
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on with my acc on MTGOX? on: June 21, 2011, 04:46:39 PM
How about you make your post not a sh*storm of a 1 minutes rant that starts off with are "you kidding me". Maybe then people would consider helping you. As bad as this MtGox situation is, it's people like you who make Bitcoin look like some adolescent play thing. If you need support from MtGox go send them a freaking email instead sh*t storming

Does "Bitcoin Discussion" look the same as "MtGox Support Forum" to you?
123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the most important next step for a better functioning bitcoin economy? on: June 21, 2011, 04:41:23 PM
The next step is a better functioning community. As garzik has said all this forum spamming, political hoity-toity, whining, begging, witch hunting has driven most of the business types away from here and here is where they get there info.
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Protest against new moderation rules on: June 21, 2011, 03:19:11 PM
Unemployed so you evolved from begging for Bitcoins, to Trolling, to Bitching about not being able to troll and being an absurd fundamentalist.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should the "I'm MtGox, here's my side" have been locked? on: June 21, 2011, 02:40:26 AM
Ultimately MtGox fucked up. We can all agree to that but.

A lot of people a.k.a Synaptic needs to stop fueling a witch hunt. How about we go back to discussion instead of "MtGox should be burned alive!!! Expletive, Expletive, Expletive, MANY EXCLAMATION MARKS!!!!".
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who would rather see Mt. Gox completely dissolved? on: June 21, 2011, 02:32:09 AM
They failed to maintain their business. Contracts have been made and settled although there were devious parties involved but they aren't under the company's jurisdiction. Mt. Gox isn't a security force. They are an escrow. No vigilant justice should occur.

Instead of voiding people's trading contracts at large why doesn't Mt. Gox just hold itself liable and pay for the losses it caused directly? Why doesn't Mt. Gox just accept its failure? Why burden innocent traders for its negligence?

Again, personally, I think Mt. Gox should just be wiped off the map. They're done. They failed.

I think you failed as a newbie forum moderator and should be wiped off the face of the map and never allowed to return to this forum. Kind of understand how dumb you are being?
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MtGox should be arrested on: June 21, 2011, 02:30:35 AM
This is potentially a 5-10m heist.  No one knows what's going on.

This should open up lawsuits and criminal proceedings.  We don't know if MtGox stole it or what his intentions were.  We don't know ANYTHING.

You guys are blind religious fanatics for trusting this idiot.  I hope he contacts the FBI.  He's at least negligent and worst, a criminal.

We already have criminal proceedings in process against whoever did the hack.

PPFFFFFFFFFBWAHAHAHAHA

These...IDIOTS...get ahold of a random fucking IP...and now they've got "criminal prceedings" going on.

Unless he means that Kevin guy is the hacker, in which case..

MMM..

MMMMMM......

PPPPFFFFF BWAHAHAHAHAHAAA.

Oh god you s t u p i d FUCKS.

It's getting so good here.

So, so sweetly good.

God we all know MtGox fucked up. Will you stop posting the same crap about them being stupid crap in every thread that pops up? Apparently you are the King of +1 and being an total asshat.
128  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Hash rates for 1GB ATI AMD STREAM PROCESSOR R580 GPU 100-505500 on: June 16, 2011, 08:33:16 AM
Probably 0 since I don't think that old of a card supports openCL. If you are just looking for random equipment to mine old video cards and almost all CPUs cost more money in electricity the you will ever make in bitcoin.
129  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Someone put a serious compute power into the network! on: June 16, 2011, 07:28:40 AM

raising difficulty speed/days rate,

I hope these phenomenal can make btc price raising...
 Undecided

The art of search would have turned up 100+ topics about why people are being stupid saying that the network exploded X Thash after a difficulty jump.

132  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Quick question about generating bitcoins on: June 15, 2011, 05:04:31 AM
Yes you can only find a Block which is 50 BTC if you mine solo. At your 150 Mhash, it would take you and average 188 days to generate 1 block.
133  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Block download frozen on: June 15, 2011, 04:24:39 AM
If you want to redownload the block chain.

Go to where your wallet.dat file is copy the wallet.dat file somewhere safe. Delete the entire folder the wallet.dat file is. Start Bitcoin it will recreate the folder. Put wallet.dat file back into the folder and tell it to replace.
134  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Heh, maybe I should consider solo mining. on: June 15, 2011, 04:09:44 AM
Also if you plan to lose money I guess they shouldn't have removed CPU mining from Bitcoin client. There is no general purpose CPU that produces enough Mhash/per Watt to not lose money. But if you aren't paying for electricity then there are multiple clients you can download that support CPU mining.
135  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Modest BTC goal; where do I start? Asking for advice on my road to 60 USD on: June 14, 2011, 11:08:01 PM
What I would suggest is check out the Marketplace section read some guides and start a website that sells stuff for Bitcoins. That is if you don't want to play the market or mine.
136  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Proxies and other nonsense. on: June 14, 2011, 11:03:20 PM
If you are talking about the Bitcoin client, I don't understand why anyone would need to run more than 1 Bitcoin client.

If you are talking about mining cliemts, you are incorrect in your assumption.
137  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Solo mining - Nothing gets accepting - Difficulty 1 hashes 0 on: June 14, 2011, 08:50:18 AM
Q: I'm having trouble solo mining using the 0.3.22 Bitcoin client. Why?
A: This is a known issue, see this thread for more info. Reverting to 0.3.21 or earlier seems to fix the problem.

138  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Solo mining - Nothing gets accepting - Difficulty 1 hashes 0 on: June 14, 2011, 08:38:44 AM
Diffculty 1 Hash 0. The zero should be going up. What is your hash speed?
139  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Solo mining - Nothing gets accepting - Difficulty 1 hashes 0 on: June 14, 2011, 08:30:24 AM
I see, thanks.

Do you know why the difficulty is 1? It sounds like that's either the easiest difficulty or the hardest.

Doesn't mean anything to my knowledge. Probably a function that doesn't work yet.
140  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What happens if my computer dies? on: June 14, 2011, 08:27:25 AM
If it hasn't transferred to your wallet yet its still in the pool.

All bitcoins in your wallet are transactions stored online. As long as you have your wallet you can always access your coins. The client is nothing more than a terminal. All bitcoins are kept on record through the blockchain.

If you lose your wallet and you dont have a backup your shit out of luck.

Next time use the search function or read the sticky that says (Read before asking for support).
