People who win could also donate their winnings to a charity of their choice. But there's no way for me to tie in an additional payout. The best thing would be for people to play and or donate to the charity. @EGC, lotto ran fine, database cleanup went well. Wallet returned to 0 balance. So everythings G2G from here on out so you can pimp it now like you were talking about earlier. Only thing is from the "personal" wallet. I still need to send out the bonus to the winner but it seems the change it the way I use the wallet and the change in code works.
@NinjaMan35, Glad to hear the Spend-ur-bits.com EGC lotto ran as expected! Glad I could be of help and looking forward to your site's growth. Now that we know things are working more reliably, it can be promoted with confidence. While I will do so, I would like to reiterate my request for your help in doing so. Again, it is better coming from the source. @everyone, http://spend-ur-bits.com/index.php?page=egc_lottery Only 1 EGC per entry. Entries end at midnight Saturday, drawing shortly after at 12:30 AM Sunday, reopening at 1:00 AM Sunday. All times Eastern Standard Time (EST). Best of luck! I'll get some posts up on FB tonight and see if I can get some posts going here in the ALT Coin forum. That being said, I'm syncing a new local wallet that will be used to store and send bonus funds etc. So this way the lotto will run as expected with me as previously saying need to manually control the bonus payouts. Whenthe new wallet is done syncing, I will get the bonus out to last weeks winner. How is the idea to give 1% to a charity every week when somebody wins? That would be brillant like our bot in discord. Giving people the opportunity to gamble and still help Charitys. Its just an idea that could be a good promotion for both sides. Great idea IMO - would certainly get more people from the community involved - for some people on here, helping out the EGC charity's is more of an incentive than winning some EGC

FYI to anyone who may have noticed and not spoke up lol I know the lotto is preventing people from entering right now. I'm waiting on a php / html guy to get back to me. I'm working on a code change to otherwise disallow new entries half hr prior to and post the winner being chosen but there's a issue in the code thats currently disallowing all entries regardless of time. http://spend-ur-bits.com/index.php?page=egc_lottery

Lotto is GTG, I will just have to manually send the bonus to the winner. But should run smoothly here on out.
Definitely going to need some players ;-)

I've temporarily suspended the Evergreen coin Lotto while I figure out why it did not run as scheduled last night to pick the winner. My best guess is something to do with the time change, but I won't know until I'm back home off the road which will be late this evening. But the coins are protected and the winner will still get what's theirs once I figure out why the one aspect of the program did not run last night at midnight.
Any questions regarding the lotto or my involvement can be asked on this thread (provided it's ok with Stephen).
I have a main account MoreBloodWine which is currently held up right now by somebody else and I'm waiting to get that back. So I'm not just some random Noob lol
Anyway, TTYL and have a wonderful day :-)

Currently one person is poised to win the pot this weekend ! http://spend-ur-bits.com/index.php?page=egc_lotteryGot some EGC laying around and want to have some fun ? Then head on over to the link above and check out the EverGreenCoin lottery system. EGC foundation is aware of it and has donated some coins to allow for a "boost" to the pot for the first good number of rounds. I will get some social media going to help promote. With odds like that, hard to resist entering! NinjaMan35, feel free to make a post in our forums to promote. Perhaps introduce yourself and the lotto in the Introductions forum. While I hope everyone knows I will do everything in my power to help anyone's effort and certainly contributions, it does "look better" coming from the source. I will most defiantly endorse to give people reassurance. The Facebook group might be a good idea also and I thank you in advance for the activity on both. So the community is aware and to reiterate the facts, the donation was from my personal coins. I would never spend foundation coins without the communities (aka board members) blessing prior. I hope everyone knows that as well. To both the lotto and all entries, best of luck! my apologies for any confusion regarding you in the foundation. That being said, I'll promote the best I can. It just sucks that I don't have my main account that I'm waiting for someone to get back on me about so I can regain control of it.

So the community is aware, this is legitimate and I can vouch for the legitimacy. I have been helping and in communication with the developer of this lotto for a little over a month. I have personally donated to fund the first 12 rounds. Best of luck! 24 rounds at 25 bonus coins each. Some could roll over if there's a week or two etc where no one plays. Fwiw, yes this is a newb account but I'm in the process of waiting for theymos or cyrus to help get my main back which is MoreBloodWine and currently being run by an imposter. Anyway, best of luck guys. First round closes 12am sun. Countdown also featured on the site, ty.

Not worth trying to figure out what client would work. That being said, anyone know where to begin to make it work again while the getinfo is still available ?
Ty.
|
|

I looked at my client again, getinfo still produces data but with the deprecated warning as part of the array now. So why the code I'm using thats not working but was about a yr ago is now not working. I don't know but would like to find out.
The node I run is of no real signifigance, so if I end up having to keep an older client for the use of getinfo is fine with me.

|
|
Been a few servers ago and client iterations since I have used this but what once pulled stats from my home node, no longer works. But I know RPC is working with something else right now so not sure what to make it it. But ya, the last time I used this code, maybe a yr ago it worked fine. <?php include "jsonRPCClient.php";
$username = 'you'; $password = 'wish'; $ip = 'id'; $port = tell;
$info = rpc_command( 'getinfo' ); if( is_array( $info) ) { $required = array( 'difficulty', 'blocks' ); $numeric_data = get_numeric_data( $info, $required ); if( !$numeric_data ) { exit( "get_info() failed to acquire needed data." ); } extract( $numeric_data );
$write_arr[ 'timestamp' ] = time(); $write_arr[ 'estimated_difficulty' ] = $difficulty; $write_arr += compact( 'difficulty', 'blocks' );
$blocks_since_difficulty_change = $blocks % 2016; if( $blocks_since_difficulty_change ) { $previous_difficulty_change = $blocks - $blocks_since_difficulty_change;
$current_block_timestamp = get_block_timestamp( $blocks ); $previous_block_timestamp = get_block_timestamp( $previous_difficulty_change );
if( ! $current_block_timestamp || ! $previous_block_timestamp ) { exit( 'Could not get block timestamps' ); }
$average_block_time = ($current_block_timestamp - $previous_block_timestamp) / $blocks_since_difficulty_change; $estimated_difficulty = $difficulty * 600 / $average_block_time; $write_arr[ 'estimated_difficulty' ] = $estimated_difficulty; } write_file( $write_arr ); } else { exit( 'Could not getinfo(). getinfo() output is not an array.' ); }
function rpc_command( $command, $arg = '' ) { global $username, $password, $ip, $port; static $rpc; if( ! $rpc ) { $rpc = new jsonRPCClient( "http://$username:$password@$ip:$port" ); } try { if( ! empty( $arg ) ) { $ret = $rpc->$command( $arg ); } else { $ret = $rpc->$command(); } } catch ( Exception $e ) { trigger_error( "Exception in rpc_command(). Command is $command. Error is: " . $e->getMessage() ); $ret = false; } return $ret; }
function get_numeric_data( $info, $keys ) { $ret = array(); foreach( $keys as $key ) { if( isset( $info[ $key ] ) && is_numeric( $info[ $key ] ) ) { $ret[ $key ] = $info[ $key ]; } else { $ret = false; break; } } return $ret; }
function get_block_timestamp( $block ) { if( !is_numeric( $block ) ) { return false; } $block_hash = rpc_command( 'getblockhash', $block ); if( $block_hash !== false && preg_match( '/^[0-9a-f]+$/i', $block_hash ) ) { $block_data = rpc_command( 'getblock', $block_hash ); if( is_array( $block_data ) && isset( $block_data[ 'time' ] ) && is_numeric( $block_data[ 'time' ] ) ) { return $block_data[ 'time' ]; } else { trigger_error( "Error in get_block_timestamp(). Time in blockdata not found or not numeric. Block is $block" ); } } else { trigger_error( "Error in get_block_timestamp() could not getblockhash for block $block. Hash is $block_hash" ); } return false; }
function write_file( $data ) { if( is_array( $data ) ) { $h = fopen( 'getinfo.php', 'w' ); fwrite( $h, "<?php \$bitcoind_getinfo = " . var_export( $data, true ) . ";" ); fclose( $h ); return true; } else { trigger_error( 'Error in write_file(). Data is not an array.' ); return false; } } Out puts this when manually run, normally set on a cron... [not@here]$ php getdata.php Could not getinfo(). getinfo() output is not an array. [not@here]$ I think I copied the entire files code ok, looks good. But ya,the last time I used this code about a yr ago it was / seemed fine and saved the required data to the secondary file I would then pull from to display on my personal sites. Ty.

Thx guys, especially you Philip. I just wish I could have caught this sooner like he one time you pointed out to me that someone mentioned to you I wasn't in control of my account when I was.
As for anyone unsure, let me know what I can do to prove I am who I say I am and I will try my best. But as Gator has pointed out, I'd like to think I've done a very good job of that right now.

You should private message some DT members and ask them to take a look at this thread. It might help get the account tagged in the meantime; I PM'd the 2 members of DT that gave the account a rating, one of them removed their rating but the other has not been online in quite some time. I am not sure how to proceed, but we've got a good foundation going for your case in my opinion.
I don't know who is DT, that was one of the few things I never really looked into. Surprised the one guy with such a compelling case would have removed his rating. I assume you also mean tagged as in rated by DT's ?

Someone let this poor child fall down the well that is page 3, here ya go my little one.
Stay safe here til those nice DT's find ya.

Just making sure this stays topside, would like to see him go red with those beautiful warnings on all of his posts pages :-)

Ty my friend. Any bit helps, as for waiting what I know is going to be a lengthy process, not thrilled. But will live, I just hope it doesn't take too terribly long, but I will try and furnish any further proof that is requested. As for private keys, it's not that simple. Mine is one of the more complicated once that has a very specific phrase attached to it.
