121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Most anticipated ICO of 2018: Supratoken on: July 28, 2018, 10:32:53 AM
Key elements of SupraTokens ecosystem are
  • The SupraToken Platform
  • The SupraTeller Marketplace
  • SupraWallet
  • SupraTokens (S-Token, SPT)
  • Initial S-Token Offerings (STO)

You can find complete detail about the ecosystem in the whitepaper. I am excited to see how they turn this into reality.
Key deliverables of the ecosystem are interesting.
Opportunity: S-Token offerings will deliver a new genre of opportunity to the crypto market environment.
Growth: The creation of new branded S-Token will guarantee the growth of the ecosystem underlying asset base.
Revenue: The activation of new S-Token will drive dual transactional activity and revenue creation.
Value: The demand for S-Token will be driven by the enhanced value proposition of guaranteed utility value and dual revenue acquisition potential

It will be an always win scenario for the members of the Supratoken ecosystem.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Most anticipated ICO of 2018: Supratoken on: July 28, 2018, 09:03:54 AM
Most anticipated?

No Darling.

No one gives a flying fuck about your scammy ICO.

 Roll Eyes

They have a working platform suprascoop.io with a physical presence in UK. So I guess its not a scam, rest you can DYOR on this ICO.

With too much ICOs scam. It's best to do proper research before you invest into any ICO. Presence of fully developed and functional supraScoop platform is a big plus for this ICO.
We will see more details of the project, as more member will come and explore this ICO.

Do just a little bit research and you will find that suprascoop is associated with mediamob a South African based marketing company. seeing is believing
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Most anticipated ICO of 2018: Supratoken on: July 28, 2018, 06:52:05 AM
S-Tokens will never be traded on any crypto exchange. This means they are not prone to speculative nature of cryptocurrency. finally, we have some crypto asset which will remain stable.

There will be a limited supply of 6000 S-Tokens. That's a wise move, keeping the no of tokens as less as possible will benefit the owners on the long run.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Most anticipated ICO of 2018: Supratoken on: July 28, 2018, 06:23:00 AM
whats the linkage of S-Tokens with SPT? I am a bit confused, can somebody explain me this.

If you purchase inaugural S-Tokens you will get 35000 to 55000 free SPT (SPT is native cryptocurrency of the ecosystem). This is also what is meant by "dual token offering".

126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Its over guys on: June 25, 2018, 09:03:37 AM
This year cryptos will goto oblivion. End of days.

India's unfavorable crypto stance and more countries to follow.

I warned you people 2 weeks ago, still there is time. Get out of this with minimum losses.

It's just the beginning the of a new era for the cryptocurrency. Don't worry about what governments are saying about cryptos they will continue saying this, as crypto is challenging there monopoly and control over the financial system. The positive thing is that crypto community is growing and getting stronger day by day.
127  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade or HODL? on: June 25, 2018, 08:56:17 AM
Keep most part of your portfolio for HODL, while small part may be kept for trading. HODL is a proven strategy to get long-term gains while in trading there is 50/50 chance of profit/loss.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2018 is stabity year ? on: June 25, 2018, 08:22:29 AM
Crypto market saw an enormous growth last year, which was deemed to take correction. The market is settling to some realistic value and so far prices are somewhat stable as we are not seeing market swing in either directions.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum TO $400 AGAIN on: June 25, 2018, 08:14:18 AM
Eth right now is 450 USD. We saw earlier this year Eth hitting 370 USD and then jumping back to 700 USD. If you are looking for a long-term gain this is the ideal time to accumulate Eth in your portfolio.
130  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Encouraging People to Stay on: June 25, 2018, 07:29:41 AM
Bitcoin is stable for months, what to do?.These are the questions roaming on every topic on this forum so im  helping you decide whether you want to sell it or buy something. Well, im promoting buying so here's why.

You probably have some coins bought when the price is still high, and you want to sell it because you are afraid that it may go deeper and you lose more. These is called the panic sellers which triggers When the value of the coins they are trading or holding pump down. What will happen? You will claim that you defeated and surrender for what we say bear manipulation. You just gave your money to them, you get depressed and you eill post bad news about bitcoin so that a lot people would be discouraged to invest. It doesnt help yourself and doesnt help other people either.

But what if, instead of declaring you lose, you hold your coins until it goes back because we both know that this drop is just temporary and when the value get tired of being low, it will soar high again. Its a winwin situation for us financially and emotionally. Yes , it is depressing until it still low but we know we are not lose until we sell it. More money, lesser stress.

We should take this low value opportunity to buy rather ranting nonsense that wouldnt help. Have a strong heart people.

I really appreciate contents of your post. People are in a situation where they have bought BTC or other altcoins when it was at its ATH like BTC was at 19000 USD and its now 6000 USD just within a short span of 6 months.
People always jump into buying when prices are high and when prices are down (right now), everyone is afraid of buying. We must understand various aspects of the crypto market before we jump into it.
131  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market cap falling below 250 B $? on: June 25, 2018, 07:21:05 AM
Another red day on coin market cap. Are we seeing  the worst of the market dip or is the dip going further down?
We are close, right now the total market capitalization for cryptocurrencies is 257 billion dollars but I do not know if that happened during the day, but look it is impossible to predict what will happen in the short term in the market, you only have 3 options you hold, you sell your coins and take cover in fiat or you try to take advantage of the volatility by trading, the third option is risky but it is the only one which can give you profits.

Of the three options you proposing
Quote
  • you hold
  • you sell your coins
  • you try to take advantage of the volatility by trading
I will go with the third option. I firmly believe that buying is something kept for such red days and I don't think buying right now is risky as prices are already at there bottom.[/list]
132  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why do we complain when the market is down? on: June 25, 2018, 07:14:57 AM
DIP= Discounted Investment Period

in other words buy low sell high

This is something very cool you have crafted out

Quote
DIP= Discounted Investment Period

Only those complaint during DIPs, who don't know about the pyramids of the market. DIP/Fall is inevitable and its an opportunity to buy for future gain.
133  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The anonymous structure of the blockchain technology encourages crime? on: June 25, 2018, 06:59:23 AM
The anonymous structure of the blockchain technology is a breeding ground for criminal activities life money laundering, drug trafficking?

No, pseudo anonymity of Bitcoin does not encourage criminal activities. The fact that we are dealing with something that has value, gives it more incentive to be used for crime. Do not forget that Cash is more anonymous than Bitcoin. Criminals do not have to be encouraged to use anything of value for crime, they just do.

Bitcoin transactions are traceable on the Blockchain, under certain conditions, which makes using this for criminal activities a very stupid idea.  Wink

Criminals are using different financial means since the start of human life and will continue to do that as long as life on this planet continues to exist. I do agree that fiat is more anonymous than cryptocurrency. We can't declare it useless just because of its anonymous nature.
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if someone forgot the key to their bitcoin wallet ? on: June 25, 2018, 06:51:16 AM
What are the measures to keep your private key safe and in memory ? Are there any alternatives to retrieve the key back ?

The one dark side of BTC is that you cant recover your private key in case you lost it. There are many such BTC residing on the blockchain and will never be accessed by any human again. always keep a printed copy of private key with you, storing in your computer or at exchange make it vulnerable to hacking.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is HODLINg still valid to make profits on: June 24, 2018, 08:35:28 PM
This recipee could be a thing of the past. Nowdays it may be better to look for opportunities as lots of talent is going into the market. Do you still think of becoming a millionaire by hodling?

It's still the best recipe and will continue to be in days to come. If you already have bought crypto then hodl and if not then add coins in your portfolio as prices are very cheap right now. Patience is the key and one must learn this art in order to be successful.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost half of my crypto amount! what to do? on: June 24, 2018, 08:12:54 PM
So I basically got fomoed. Towards the end of 2017 I saw how high bitcoin skyrocketed and decided to invest in ripple as a test. Less than one week it went up 3x. This made me more ballsy and I put in 11k total in various other alt coins like ripple, ethos, tron, and cardano. After the crash I lost about half of my value just like that. I am frustrated with the experience and wish I would have just put in 1k or something. I wish I could just not invested and went into what I was doing earlier which was just investing the boring and traditional way. Should I wait and hodl or pull out and do something else?
You did the mistake wh most newbies do i.e. jump with heavy capital without knowing much about the market. There is a point when you can exit with some minimum loss after that quitting means losing everything. I suggest if you in later stage of that just HODL.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: June 24, 2018, 08:06:27 PM
Hi everyone, I've been around for a while now..
I've seen a lot of posts positive and negative about Ethereum.

At the moment I am holding Bitcoins, but I have invested in some Ether as well.

Now I am wondering, what are legitimate concerns about Ether (except for IPO, as I've already read this in a lot of posts).

So can anyone bring real other issues to the table, to enlighten me (and maybe a lot of other readers?)

Thanks!

If you go with my advice Eth is the best altcoin after BTC and its price is getting ideal day by day, right now it's around 450 USD. If you are looking for something to hold on for long-term then I suggest Eth.
P.S please do your own research before u buy anything.
138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more risky? Bitcoin or bank investment? on: June 24, 2018, 08:01:12 PM
Bitcoin is indeed risky. But bank investments are risky too. In our country (coz I'm not sure if this exist in other countries). When you have a large amount on your account they will call you and ask you if you want to invest, minimum of 20,000 Php (or 400 USD). They will propose some investment plans where there is a choice of low, medium, or high risk investment. When you choose the high risk there is a chance to lose or gain 100% of your investment (Medium is 75% and low is 50% if I remember it right). It doesn't make sense to me, it sounds like a scam, they will invest using your money and you don't have any control to it. That is why I like bitcoin more, coz Though it is risky and it's very volatile, you have full control on your investment.

What do you guys think?

government investment schemes are most secure in my country (Pakistan). They have zero risk but the return is overpowered by inflation. BTC, on the other hand, is highly risky but it can give you a mighty return in a very short span of time.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you mean when you say Bitcoin is number 1 on: June 24, 2018, 07:46:11 PM
We are entering an era of multiple digital currencies, and many of them will survive. Bitcoin is certain to be one of them, but it can't be number one for every factor. Where do you think Bitcoin will stay as number 1

  • Store of value
  • Services in addition to simple money transfer
  • Convenience
  • Security
  • Investment/speculation
  • Safe transfer speed
  • Privacy
  • Freedom from globalist control
  • Other

For me BTC is number 1, as it's a financial system that is open for every single person living on this planet earth. Apart from that, its no one due to following benefits it offers.

Quote
Store of value
Convenience
Security
Investment/speculation
Safe transfer speed
Privacy
140  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What’s hot in June? on: June 24, 2018, 06:00:54 AM
This Jun is really hot ( in my country) but in the crypto market, its a winter like situation. As BTC is going its All Time Low of 2018 and Altcoins are following it.
Let's hope this bearish trend over very soon and we see some Green lights in the crypto market.
