121  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-09-29] Swiss markets watchdog approves first crypto assets fund on: October 01, 2021, 09:34:48 AM
Only now?

Other countries have had these for ages, including the U.S.

The Swiss authorities seem to be really be falling behind on the crypto revolution. However from an investor point of view, I wouldn't even be interested in such a fund given the fact that your crypto position will be heavily regulated and there is now a central point of failure.
122  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-09-25]South Korean Taxman to Be Granted Right to Search Crypto Tax Evaders on: October 01, 2021, 01:47:11 AM
This is very interesting.

As long as they are pushing for positive regulation and adoption, I honestly don't see a problem with this.

Of course the tax sucks but I would rather have a situation like Korea than something like China with a flat out ban. The government just wants to cash in on the crypto craze, that's all.
123  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-09-28] CFTC Imposes A $1.25 Million Penalty against Kraken exchange on: October 01, 2021, 12:44:57 AM
It's no surprise that exchanges are shutting their derivatives arm left and right. Kraken is no different.

Derivatives and leveraged products are heavily regulated and are generally quite sensitive.

So in that regard, it definitely makes sense for exchanges to mitigate their risk of getting cracked down/getting fined by removing futures/options trading. And some of the leverage offered were insane anyway so it's probably a good riddance.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Common NFT scams and phony Telegram supports on: October 01, 2021, 12:27:56 AM
Very good guide.

I think that the airdrop thing is definitely the most effective at getting people, honestly.

People think that it's free money but at the end of the day they are likely wasting their time and/or paying money to scammers without any reward. If a project needs to airdrop to keep afloat, then it's probably not a great project to invest in in the first place.
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin, Dogecoin Gain After Musk's Tweets, But Will There Be Another Bull Run? on: September 30, 2021, 09:21:51 AM
I don't think so for Dogecoin.

People have moved onto the next big thing in NFTs and not batting an eye on Dogecoin.

If you think about it there was virtually no intrinsic value for Doge to begin with apart from community hype. And that has died dramatically.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BNB be worth $1,000? on: September 30, 2021, 08:58:01 AM
No.

I think that Binance and all other exchanges are faced with one fundamental problem - and that is scalability.

There is really no way for Binance to expand now because regulators are on their back. And even though BNB is for a decentralized ecosystem, I think that it is clear if Binance stagnates, so will the price of BNB.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Advice on trends on: September 29, 2021, 09:16:51 PM
I think that you should stop looking at these trends and actually do some fundamental analysis.

If you plot altcoin returns they are going to return some sort of normal random distribution and you think that you can predict which days/weeks coins generally go up/down in?

This is why TA is ridiculous. It ignores the big picture.
128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Poker Rooms on: September 29, 2021, 08:36:25 PM
Hi everyone, I just created a new account here to learn more about bitcoin. I also like to play poker and I'm wondering if there are any good and trustworthy online bitcoin poker room out there? Thank you in advance!  Smiley

Welcome!

Yes, SwC & Betnomi would be my recommendations.

If you had to choose between the two then just go with SwC because that has been one of the longest standing and most trusted poker rooms with lots of players. Good luck!
129  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: September 29, 2021, 08:25:18 PM
Finally Roobet can exceed 2 Billion bets, congrats Roobet and in this new achievement they also giving $200,000 for 20 winners and will be drawn in 10 days, minimum wager $10 and will get 1 raffle ticket.

Some insane growth over the past few years for Roobet that's for sure.

Congrats to the Roobet team for making this work with the constant updates and marketing efforts. They deserve this one.

Giveaway seems quite generous. Are there any plans to implement new features such as NFTs/smart contracts going into the future?
130  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐺WOLF.BET - Sportsbook is ON 🏟️ Advanced Dice Game 🎲 2.000 Bets/s⚡ on: September 29, 2021, 12:30:06 AM
Slots look fantastic.

Popped in and seen the slots are now live, congrats wolf.bet. Now get those streamers live and maybe have some giveaways.

Agree in terms of giveaways but in terms of streamers I'd be careful.

Twitch has cracked down on affiliate streaming for casinos over the recent months and I think that this is a trend that will continue. People are generally more averse towards sponsored streamers now as well.
131  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: September 28, 2021, 10:36:01 PM
It will take years for NFT to have really meaningful use cases in crypto industry. Now it is hyped as a trend for future. Current use cases are not good for NFT. In the future, if NFT technology is developed further for management in our society, from government to many areas, business for example, NFT will become a big part of crypto industry.

Rollbit is like a future traveller when they lauched their NFT marketplace, to prepare for the future.
Honestly, I am doubtful about the future of NFTs in the cryptocurrency market. Reasons like complicated learning curve, bad history(crypto pets etc), low hype etc are why I feel that they won't become a trend in the future.

I applaud Rollbit for trying to increase the hype surrounding NFTs, but I don't think they are the future though I could be completely wrong. Just my 2 cents.

I think it's cool what they're doing.

The Avatar NFT space is definitely booming and it's to Rollbit's credit that they are taking full advantage of this and integrating it as a reward system.

Nothing wrong with that I think, although I wouldn't say that it's groundbreaking per se either.
132  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | 8 Years of Dicing | 90 Billion Bets | 113 BTC Jackpot! on: September 28, 2021, 10:04:40 PM

Yes it is really unfortunate, Primedice is having less promotions while Stake is like unstoppable in promotions. I'm checking the dedicated Primedice forum, VIP challenge was stopped on August for a break and now the only available regular promotion is the weekly $800 challenge. A huge difference now between Stake and Primedice almost in everything such as the number of online players. Primedice now has around 400-500 online players daily while Stake has 10-20x more.

PD becomes redundant because Stake has what it has plus a bunch of other features. Maybe it's for the name sake.

The best way to handle this is to redirect players to Stake while still maintaining the domain. Players get bored quickly just with dice and nothing else.

Not necessarily.

I think that a lot of people are still playing on PD because of sentimental value.

After all, PD has been around for years longer and many still remember the early days of PD1, PD2 and PD3. But I do agree that Stunna's long term plans are likely to phase out PD whilst maintaining a minimum viable operation there.
133  Economy / Gambling / Re: NEW Flush.com Crypto Casino - ♠️ $BTC ♦️ $ETH ♣️ $DOGE ♥️ $LTC on: September 28, 2021, 08:54:52 PM
I personally think that not a lot of people would be too keen on jumping through all the hoops for $2 when it comes to your signup promo.

But perhaps that is just me.

I also think that you should probably come up with some innovative game instead of just copying the same old (crash, dice, limbo, etc.) that Stake and others are already doing. Your domain and brand name has a ton of potential.
134  Economy / Gambling / Re: csgo-roulette.net and dota2expert.com on: September 28, 2021, 08:31:17 PM
You're going to find it really hard to attract customers when there aren't many people playing a PvP game.

The whole reason why people play PvP gambling games is because it is fun to communicate with others and win money against others.

But once you take that away with a small player base to begin with there is no impetus for people to adopt your game over something centralized anymore. So definitely consider that carefully.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BTC Ever Stop Defining Market Movements? on: September 24, 2021, 10:14:39 PM
Hello everyone, dear friends. Everyone remembers what happened in 18 year. Then the cryptocurrency really kept only on BTC and ETH. But now a lot has changed. A huge number of crypto areas have appeared, such as DeFi, NFT, Blockchain gaming and others. The market is full of top offers, but for some reason, BTC still determines the market price. When Btc falls, the entire market is corrected, and ecosystems like Near Protocol or Solana most often grow only with positive BTC daily readings.

What do you think about this? Why, after fixing BTC, people still fix their money in projects such as Near, Solana or Matic, because their ecosystems, by and large, can exist completely apart  Huh

I think that it will happen eventually.

There are already large crowds congregating around the SOL, ETH blockchain that aren't necessarily interested in BTC as a currency.

But the correlation between coins will probably be here to stay for quite a long time in my opinion. Even if there are separate user bases, people tend to see bitcoin as a signal for the rest of the market and unfortunately that is more of a deep-rooted psychological issue.
136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit cards and gambling (tabcorp, Australia) on: September 24, 2021, 12:44:18 PM
I don't see a problem with banning credit cards.

There is a reason why nobody in the cryptosphere is willing to accept credit card/Paypal payments.

It's way too clunky, there are huge transaction costs, and there are significant drawbacks such as the risk of getting carding fraud. If it's not worth it for the casino, why force them?
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about the NFT hype? on: September 24, 2021, 12:31:50 PM
Im a long time in crypto and NFTs took over really fast.. do you guys think the hype will keep going?
Since new NFT platforms appear every day.
What are your thoughts?

Reminds me a bit like Steemit when it first launched.

It was the next big thing... Until it wasn't, and everything came tumbling down because people realized that there was no value.

If you want to buy ape JPEGs for millions of dollars, then be my guest. But be aware of the significant downside risks as well.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to Earn While Holding Crypto Assets on: September 23, 2021, 10:07:59 PM
I think that you have to realize staking dilutes the current supply of coins as well.

So unless the overall network grows as well, staking rewards are simply absorbed by the higher circulation theoretically.

I would suggest that you stay away from stuff like Celsius, you don't know what they're spending your coins on and it could be very dangerous.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: time to add your bag on: September 23, 2021, 09:39:20 PM
today the price of cryptocurrency (including Bitcoin) is correcting again and I suggest you don't panic sell, but now is an opportunity for us to buy cryptocurrency that we want at a low price, so don't miss this opportunity or you will regret it when the market starts to recover and increasing again, because I believe the correction that happened this year will not be as severe as in previous years, so market conditions will definitely recover quickly and will make you get profit in the near future.

Definitely a great time to add to your DCA bag.

This dip has been very rewarding for those who have bought BTC at around the $40k level, as well as those who bought ETH at lower than $3k.

I think that they will be harder and harder to come by as institutional investors are constantly on the lookout for cheap coins now. Take your chances when you get them.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT hype-Who knows what the next big thing in crypto will be? on: September 23, 2021, 09:12:05 PM
Some people are spending millions of dollars on NFTs like crazy these days. They buy so-called NFT art sold out for ten million of dollars (USD) as their Avatars of social platforms.
It sounds ridiculous, which is exactly its charm.
For what I know, crypto behaves in strange and bizarre ways. First it was the ICO hype. Then came the "De-Fi" hype. And now it's the NFT hype. Who knows what the next big thing in crypto will be?

It's definitely ridiculous.

I think that at the end of the day, people have way too much cash on their hands and they are simply trying to find a place to dump that excess liquidity.

That is pretty much the only use of NFTs, apart from (potentially) being a money laundering device. I do not believe in the long term viability of these collectables, although applied uses like music licensing could be possible.
