don't know if anyone has suggested this but you could always have the initials BTC   Bethany Tabatha Caitlyn. Or something like that Smiley that sounds much better

What about don't do that with a child that can't protect herself?

This dad will probably put her to work for him...

122  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stolen Bitcoin from wallet on: January 12, 2014, 04:34:17 PM
If it was a trojan developed specificly made to get wallets/passwords, antivirus cant mark it as a virus (at least untill this program spread and get a lot of computers.

These forums have a lot of developers with expertise enough to bulid one. I'm a developer.

Now with that said....

PLEASE BEWARE WITH USING MINERS/PROGRAMS THAT SOMEONE JUST LINK TO YOU.

If it is open source, better.

Send to virustotal doesn't mean nothing, as I said above.

Good luck!

124  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FRAUD ALERT!!! IMPOSTER WEBSITE on: January 11, 2014, 11:47:23 AM
There is a website that is advertising on google adwords and acts like a popular mining hardware website by including an extra "L" in domain url name.

Here is what I am talking about:
butterflylabs.com <- Normal
butterflyllabs.com <- SCAMMER FRAUD WEBSITE

Look careful in the second link, it has an extra "L"

The website comes up when you search "butterfly labs" in google. The scammer looks like he/she is advertising with google adwords.

Here is a sample picture:

I hope this will help at least some of you before you dive in.

As the word say: DONATION (do it ONLY if you want).

He spent his time trying to help The community. Different than you and me, that's spent our time with comments like these.

Thanks for your advise!!

now I'm infected with this malware, thanks a lot!

Is a way to know if you're infected, besides, if after reading the post someone is dumb enough to visit them I guess that's the least of their problems..  Roll Eyes

Of course He is just be kidding...

Even my grandmother would not be stupid enough to try it....
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are premined? Did satoshi really premine 1 million bitcoins? on: January 10, 2014, 12:48:49 PM
You can see if an alt(coin) has been premined if, on its day of launch too many block are already been discovered (that means the developer mined before made public).

PS: For those who loves Satoshi Nakamoto and wants to make it public, please go to www.ilovesatoshinakamoto.com

This post is simple and requires real facts to be answered, not a place to publish your love to Nakamoto (lets be objective in our reponses, when the question has nothing to do with your opinion, but with facts)

THANKS SATOSHI NAKAMOTO!! I LOVE YOU!! ahaahahah!!
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are premined? Did satoshi really premine 1 million bitcoins? on: January 10, 2014, 03:46:43 AM
I he did he deserved it he made one of the greatest contributions to the human race and freedom. He reminds me of Tesla who tried to give free unlimited energy , communication and more to the human race just to get crushed by evil greedy bustards. Satoshi was smart to work underground. Maybe we are lucky he lives a long life and one day before he departs us give us some words of wisdom but if he doesn't what he left is amazing and give me hope to live life and know there is hope for real freedom!

so if he premind who cares, make your coin and don't premine it if that bothers you he gave you the way, so don't worry about it.

Back to The question.... (He didn't ask your opinion)

Hi,

I'm writting from my phone , that's Why The info below is incomplete.

Well, there's a website (discussed here) The charges u about US$ 9,00 to create your cryptpcurrency.

You have to select cryptographic mode: sha256/scrypt

And The name of your new coin, as Well as its 3 letters.

If u pay more, u can get the source files.

I've never went in The website, so i cant day more.

Hope u got The way!

Abs!

134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Pools Scam You Out of Your Coins? on: January 02, 2014, 10:00:05 AM
It appear that your computer(s) is compromised.

Trojan horses can watch each step u do in your computer.

Websites visited, keys pressed (including user names and pass).

NEVER use an EXE file (miners, etc..) that someone sent without The source code.

Try to use only that miners indicated by the original thread.

Happy new year!

137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 93 computers (i7 4gb RAM, no GPU) to start mining... Please help... on: December 22, 2013, 02:09:07 PM
If you are going to use the CPU's do not use cgminer! Use Pooler's CPU miner! Works much better/faster.

Iīve realized that right now!

And Poolerīs CPU miner have the 64 bit version! much better!

Thanks!

http://sourceforge.net/projects/philosopherstone/files/QRK/

Best CPUMiner for quarkcoin.
i3i5i7_Improved2 best hash

Using it!

Thanks!

My friend is interested in mining quark with some i7 pc's he has access to.
I did a little research, but could not find anything like btc-ltc mining hardware comparison chart for cpus.

How much kh/s are you getting per cpu?
How much should ivy bridge i7 get?

Also - is there a profit calculator for quarkcoin / other cpu currencies?

Hi!

You have almost the same scenario than me.

Iīm getting like 30/35 Kh/s (per computer) when using all cores (8 cores each CPU) - only 5Kh per core) - Mining Quark!!

I didnt find any specific Quark calculator... but u can use some genereic calculator and fill with information like dificulty, etc... (i actually dont know how to do this... but itīs the way...)

Almost 100 computers, but still no coin!!! lol

2 days running and watching to see if i have some coin in my addres, but none..lol

BASIC QUESTION: How can I check if my quark address have some coin? Iīm using http://block.lowend.fm/address/QQ1Fnz5bWmibxaKmQ8fNoGTT4tTJHjbAyd

but it says my address have not seen on the network.. Am I mining for someone else? ahahaha!!

Good Luck!
138  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Lots of computers mining at low hash rate on: December 22, 2013, 11:53:11 AM
Hi, i'm new to this, but have some tips...

1 - are u trying to bulid a botnet?
2 - have u already tested cgminer or other mining software? They consume 100% of CPU resources. Open taskmanager and ser 100% CPU usage!!
3 - cgminer (or any other) have dependent files (DLLs,etc..)... So your program should carry/download them.
4 - with this approach, how to select/change pool? Will u ask redownload?
5 - Will u configure 1 worker for each download?
6 - totaly forget about SHA256 based coins. Only Scrypt. SHA256 are for GPUs/ASICS mining.
7 - even litecoin (scrypt), is already with high dificult
8 - Will miner run just when your program is running, or everytime computer starts? Stealth?
9 - firewall
10 - Will join a pool or create your own?

Results: try most recent launched Scrypt based coins... With low dificult...

These are some points to consider...

Good luck!

the first 6 thread I just seen were all about doge doge doge

Has this forum become a doge spam board ?

Is it being moderated ?

lol

140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 93 computers (i7 4gb RAM, no GPU) to start mining... Please help... on: December 19, 2013, 11:28:25 PM
Why in the world does a call centre operator need a machine with an i7 in it? Pure overkill!

Focus on being a call centre operation first and not a mining operation.

Seems like a few fundamentals need going over here.

They r old i7 (first or second generation). 2630QM

They already have 2 years... time to push them to its maximum power!

If ppl just try to help ... forum would be more clean... (bla.. bla.. bla.... energy... bla bla bla .. overkill... bla bla bla... will be fired.... lol)

DONīT LOSE THE FOCUS... READ THE TITLE AND PLEASE.. TRY TO HELP.. NOT TO MAKE POINTS IN FORUM.. TKS!

TKS FOR EVERYBODY THAT HELPED ME!
