Lets just all relax and take a deep breath, nobody is claiming that KDC is dying or that we are no longer supporting the coin.  There are reasons both for concern and optimism.  Many of us have a sizable stake in the success of this coin and nobody wants to see it fail.  We all have an interest in KDC succeeding.  However, the reason I felt the need to write my previous posts was to inform the Klondike community of the circumstances that hinder its success.  Whether you want to continue to buy or sell KDC's, is a personal decision up to each individual, I think we can all agree that more information and more knowledge is always better than less.

It is silly to berate others for selling or wanting a change in the halving and just as silly to accuse people for not doing more for the coin to support and spread the word.  Many of the concerned investors have donated or spent a lot of their time on this coin.  Nobody can influence KDC one way or the other.  If you want to buy and think this is a low price based on your knowledge, go ahead and buy, if you are concerned and think it's going lower, then sell.  Let the free market do it's thing.  Its a free country, you know.  No need to accuse people of not being loyal to the coin.  Last I checked, KDC is not paying my bills and neither are the devs.  Personally, I will do whatever I feel is in the best interest for my own family in regards to investments.

My position is that I will wait and hold to see what the devs come up with.  If I'm not satisfied and think my money will be put to better use elsewhere, I'm selling.  If I like what I hear, I'm buying more.  No need to accuse others of not having faith in KDC or doing more to help pump up the price.  Let's just respect each others concerns and opinions, right or wrong.

For anyone interested, 50% of the total KDC's will be mined by the first halving.  That's 9,933,000 out of the total 19,958,654.  By the time the second halving comes around, KDC will add another 4,966,500 coins for a total of 14,899,500.

The market cap of KDC will have to be $10 million by the first halving to reach the one dollar everyone is dreaming about.  By the second halving, it has to reach $15,000,000.  In order to reach two dollars, the market cap has to reach $20 million and $30 million.

To put that into perspective, outside of bitcoin, there are less than 10 coins that have a market cap of more than $10,000,000.  All of them, early adopters and widely established.

Kitteh, (MEOW) which went from 2 satoshi to 120 satoshi, has a total market cap of $1,775,585 right now when I checked.

If KDC, even reached that number by the first halving, we are talking about a maximum value of 17,000. not nearly anything close to the one dollar..

I feel the impact of the dilution is severely being underestimated by the community as well as the devs.  Please put these numbers into perspective.

Upon reviewing these simple but glaring numbers, I am officially out unless the devs change the parameters of the coin to a reasonable level immediately to slow down the flow of newly minted coins.

Please don't call me a hater, because I am pro KDC all the way.  But look at the numbers.  Can anyone even remotely reasonable say that they think KDC will be at $10-20 million market cap in 3-6 months?  The numbers don't lie.

I have been wondering and analyzing, with all the community support that KDC has gotten, why the price has not gone up and instead is continually going down.  Now I understand why, it should have been obvious if you examined the numbers from the beginning.  KDC is a phenomenon.  In the future I will avoid any coins that have a short maturity date as it will work against the supply/demand model needed to succeed.  It seems the longer the maturity, the more difficult they are to mine and thus more valuable and harder to mine in proportion to the total that will be available.  Altcoins have a short half-life and are designed for a pump and dump, but KDC coins are printing so many new coins a day that it is virtually impossible to pump.

To put this in even more perspective.  Its been about one month now, so there should be around 3,300,000 KDC's in the market today.  If we froze Klondike mining this very minute, KDC would need to have a market cap of $3.3 million to reach one dollar a coin.  That would have to put us near the top 15 of all the coins in existence outside of bitcoin and double the market cap of Kitteh Coin.  We are currently the lowest volume coin on Coinmarket.io

Now I understand why we could never break through to higher levels.

Sadly, this will not end here.  Every day that passes by another 110,880 KDC's are being mined and that means every day an additional $110,880 needs to be added to our market cap just to maintain the goal of one dollar a KDC.  By next month, it will double to $6.6 million and so on and so on.

It is great to have lofty goals as long as they are attainable and within reason.  But even in the altworld, where anything can happen, it doesn't look good and every day it gets worse.  This problem is not a faucet dripping and leaking, it is a dam about to burst.

If any lesson can be learned from the success of dogecoin it is that good marketing and the size of the community have way more to do with a coins value than things like dilution rate, number of coins mined each day, etc. etc.

Forking the coin and changing block rewards or halving schedule at this point would probably do way more harm than good. It seems that to many people in this community are just wanting to get that quick buck so they constantly shits their pants at the swings that probably every other coin went through during this stage of development (remember this coins age is still measured in weeks and not months, lets keep that in mind before we start shouting that the sky is falling or asking the devs to voluntarily fork the coin.)

If people want to be proactive and do something to benefit the coin then they should be donating coins so that the dev's can use it to hire people to develop new features or market the coin and add real value instead of inducing a one time artificial bubble that will allow those who want the quick buck to sell off their stash.

There is nothing wrong with making a suggestion here or there, in the end the devs are going to do what they feel is best regardless of anybody's suggestion or comments.  People have been making donations on here for various purposes, how much have you donated?

To compare KDC to Dogecoin is ridiculous.  The investment dynamics of both coins are vastly different.  The community support for Klondike has been fantastic already.  If anything, the lesson to be learned here is that when a coin is on a three year path to maturity, we should expect a different type of return on our investment.  People are expecting KDC to climb to $1-2 at any time.  What I'm suggesting is that it's not going to happen to KDC in the way people are expecting because of the 3 yr path and the supply/demand dynamics.  We have already had many attempted and failed attacks at higher prices in spite of incredible community support.

That suggests to me that there is way too much supply and dilution in the early stages of this coin.  In 99% of the coins out there, you would be correct that the size of the community and marketing is the most important factor.  KDC is the outlier.  The vast rate of dilution before the first halving up to the second/third halving, makes the ability of the immediate price of KDC to rise steadily very difficult (not impossible).  It does have a very severe impact on the pricing of KDC in the initial stages compared to other coins.  KDC is very unique this way.  You can choose to ignore it if you want, but thats not going to stop 110,000 KDC's being mined every day and then dumped into the market until the first halving.  As I said before, for comparison CATcoin has only 7.200 coins being added daily.

The good news is, as I said in my previous post, conversely after the third or fourth halving, due to the three year path to maturity, there will be increasingly less and less KDC's available to be mined and dilution will fall off at an equally rapid pace that they are being mined atm.  KDC should fall in price until the halving reaches a turning point in supply/demand, but once it turns the price should rise rapidly.  So IMO short-term before the first and second halving is really the only time you will be able to accumulate any decent amount of KDC as the halving on a three yr pace will make KDC's increasing rare at a rapid pace.  This makes KDC the most unique coin out there and is an outlier.  Therefore, we should not expect the price dynamic to follow other coins.  Short term dilution = lower price and easier to accumulate.  Long term minimal dilution = rapid increase in price and difficult to mine,

I apologize if I have offended anyone.  I'm just trying to analyze KDC and the effects of a 3 yr maturity.  I'm probably wrong LOL, but part of the entertainment for me is the analyzing and being part of the growth of KDC.  Nobody should be investing enough that it would upset you if KDC went to zero anyways.  I want KDC to be successful as much or more than anyone.   My goal is to accumulate 100,000 KDC before the next halving.  So, Im still pressing the buy button whenever there is a good opportunity to buy low.  Good luck everyone.

Kinda funny to sit at Coinmarket and see the SMC rush, keeps me woundering tho what do they have that we don't? and i can't fig it out  Huh
The cause of all this?  Dilution. plain and simple.  There is more than double the total amount of KDC coins available on the market today as there was when KDC reached 40,000.  There will be three more times KDC in the market when KDC reaches halving in two months time.  Based on our current market cap of $350,000, the market cap of KDC will have to increase by $1,000,000 just to maintain it's current price.  If the market cap stays the same, with the level of dilution we are seeing everyday, the price of Klondike will fall to 2,500-3,500 by the time we start halving.

I disagree... CATcoin has the same number of coins as KDC and CATcoin is trading at $0.26 and hit more then $1 a few days ago. We have a good number of miners, and this for a coin that is already 3weeks old, one week ago there was panic, we need to do something as KDC is dying... KDC is not dying and you cannot control the coinprice. Be smart and buy low. If you believe in the coin then you don't need to change anything. 20M coins is not a lot, so reducing the number of coins would be stupid, why do you need to let the market decide what needs to be done with a coin. KDC has a plan, they are working on their plan, and i'm pretty happy with the prices now, as i know when we are getting closer to block halvering we will not trade at 3500 what you're suggesting but at 20,000. This is a coin that should reach a marketcap of 20M. Not today, not tomorrow, not next month, maybe next year or in 2 or 3 years.

We all have to wait and see I suppose.  I do disagree with your point in the comparison to CATcoin though,  Current market cap and same number of coins does not reflect the rate of dilution and you are missing my point entirely.  CATcoin will have a total of 21 million coins compared to 19,948,654 for Klondike.  And that's where the similarity ends.  Klondike's block reward is 77 KDC every minute = 110,880 newly minted coins a day. CATcoin is 50 CAT every 10 minutes = 7,200 newly minted coins a day.  So your math is completely off base.  As you can see we are diluting our investments at 15.4x the rate of CATcoin.  I  consider even 2-3x excessive, but 15x is probably the most diluted coin in altworld.  Is there any wonder why no matter how hard we try to attack the price, we get swamped by severe dumping every night?

I will say this again, the three year model to maturity works against the coin in the short-term.  The rate of dilution with KDC's is incredible.  I will add one positive note though, the level of difficulty should increase rapidly in comparison to other coins because of its short life span.  That being said. in the short-term, it is a bad investment, but right before the next difficulty we should see rapid rise in price as more of the total KDC's in proportion to the total will be mined.  This looks to be a long-term hold before we see the true benefits of its short life span.  In short term we will get pounded by the increase in dilution and in the long-term we should see an increase in price because less of the total amount of KDC will be available to be mined in a short time.  This is all theoretical of course and nothing is out of the realm of possibility when it comes to altcoins.  I do have a nasty habit of clicking the buy button whenever the price falls beow 10,000.  MUST RESIST.... Smiley

EDIT:  If you have to put the price of KDC and the rate of dilution on a graph you would probably see a decline in pricing all the way to the first halving and then see a rapid rising of the price after each halving from thereon.  So, accumulating more KDC's at every price point doesn't seem like a bad idea.  Once the halving starts, we should start seeing an increase in pricing.  In six months, after the second halving, there will be only 27,000 coins mined per day.  In a year, it will be 7,000..etc and then on will truly be one of the rarest coins.  It will have the opposite effect we are experiencing right now.

Come to think of it, right now before the halving is the only time you will be able to accumulate any amount of KDC because of its short life span.  So, in retrospect.  This is interesting.  I guess I am back to plan A.  I'm buying as much as I can now before the halving.  Smiley

Kinda funny to sit at Coinmarket and see the SMC rush, keeps me woundering tho what do they have that we don't? and i can't fig it out  Huh

The only thing I see is that the SMC are harder to mine than KDC so in order to make a profit, miners must sell at a higher price. Just a for instance...a miner at 13 mh/s can only get about 640 smc a day where the same miner can get about 2100 kdc. Barring panic selling or buying, it looks like the price of coins is mainly based up the mining difficulty.  I was mining and selling elacoin a couple months back and that coin is nearly dead but I could mine about 100 a day at 6.6 mh/s and the coins sell for .70 - $1 ea. As far as I can tell that coin has zero going for it...no dev team, no buzz, nothing but they still sell at a high price because the mining dif is high. I wouldnt look for KDC to hit $1 until block halving maybe twice and then some. of course that's just my opinion.

I've been thinking the same thing myself.  Please don't take my comments as a complaint because I believe in the devs, and this community is one of the best.  I have been buying KDC's everyday including this morning.  Taking emotion out of the equation and looking at things objectively, I have come to a couple of conclusions that I have also mentioned previously.

To be fair KDC already had a couple of rushes and the community support of the coin has been more than outstanding.  This coin should have already been trading 10x higher.  So why is it sitting at the current level and decreasing in value by the week?  It's seems the answer is staring at us right in the face and until there is something done about it, I feel it's only going to follow the same weekly downward path it's been on.

KDC and its goal of reaching maturity in three years, has the unintended effect of being the most diluted coin in the market today.  Every day we purchase the coins, 100,000 more KDC's are being newly minted.  We all want to close our eyes and believe that KDC will hit $1-5 a coin, but taking into factor the rate of dilution in PROPORTION to the total amount of KDC's, that would be very difficult.  There is also a negative psychological effect of buying, buying, buying more KDC and seeing the price get diluted further every day with another 100,000 coins a day.  We have had a large portion of the community continuously buy KDC's, but if you look at the numbers without emotion, our investment is getting diluted so fast we cannot keep up with all the coins being newly minted daily.  The amount of coins will triple by the time we start halving and who is going to keep buying and supporting KDC's when every day its getting diluted at an alarming rate, such that it is impossible to keep up with the supply?

There is growing frustration among the KDC community because the buying volume has been there to support much higher prices, but every day there is a huge amount of supply and that causes an excess amount of selling resulting in more non-stop dumping that directly results in deflated prices.  This coin is very popular with one of the strongest community, but I believe the rush to maturity in three years in concept is flawed.  It creates too much pressure on the community to keep buying even though their investment is getting diluted at a maximum rate in proportion to the total amount of coins.  We are seeing a direct result of the dilution every night.  Where does all the dumping come from and why is the price of KDC's keep going downwards instead of upwards when there is so much volume?  Because most of the volume is spent on absorbing the amount of new coins being minted on a daily basis.  There is way too much supply/dilution of the KDC market going on to support a rush or even to maintain its current price level.

I have been a steady supporter of KDC and everyone knows I have been posting on this forum daily.  But, after analyzing the market dynamics of KDC without emotion, I have come to realize that I have to stop buying KDC's until there is an adjustment to the dilution rate.  I implore the Devs to re-consider moving up the halving and reducing the total amount of coins.  Take emotion and stubbornness out of the equation and look at the numbers objectively.  At the dilution path we are on, even Cryptsy will not be able to support a higher price.  It may cause a small short burst but will follow by a crash I'm sure, because too much of the coin is being minted in proportion to the total that will be available.

I remain loyal to the coin, but I may have to move on to other coins until this dilution problem is rectified.  Every day that passes by is another day a new coin gets birthed into existence.  By the time halving occurs, there will be another 100 coins into play.  The altcoin market landscape is changing month to month.  Do not evaluate KDC's investment path to what occurred last month with other altcoins. Every dollar that is not being invested in KDC today is another day that money goes into other new coins.  We are being threatened every day by immense excessive dilution of KDC coin plus dilution of the altcoin market.  I fear that KDC will not continue to get the buy support necessary to keep on supporting this rate of dilution.  Buying KDC's must make sense, not just emotionally but also mathematically.

Admittedly, I am new to altcoin investing and would like to hear from people that are wiser than me with any confirmations or disputes to what I am writing.

I was on Coinwarz, and KDC's exchange price was rated "above average."  Almost every coin at the top is either "average" or "above average."  The only coin that was rated "below average?" You guessed it, Stablecoin. LOL  Grin  That was good for a few laughs.

BTC is dropping like a stone and so are all the altcoins, go check Cryptsy and compare those prices to how it was 2-3 days ago, KDC would be up at those 13-14k satoshi if BTC wasnt down like it is now.
MtGOx is just having technical problems with their custom software.  They are not shutting down.  Once people realize this, BTC will be trading at the previous level.  Its already rising back quickly.  Hopefully, KDC will follow once people calm down and realize its just technical issue.

Hashrate going up again.  With the difficulty rising, we should be legitimately be able to hit 15,000 - 20,000 this weekend without worrying about dumpers.   Smiley

Hey, I personally own some Vertcoins for quite some time, and what happened because of Craptsy might happen with KDC as well, let's just be careful about that Smiley

Big difference, KDC is still trading at only .07 cents.  If we were trading at a very high level, we could get dumped on Cryptsy, but at this level there is only one way to go and thats up!!

I really, really like the way we are going up this time.  The price is following the Hashrate and the buy is building up slowly.  This is what a bull market looks like. slowly but surely building pressure upwards.

I have no faith in that 10,000 one btc buywall.  Why such a large gap from 10,000 to 9,000?  Thats probably why its trading lower on Coinmarket.  Burned too many times by the dumpers.  With the price so high and difficulty so low.  Tonight will be prime-time for dumpers.  Dont break my heart again KDC.  Show me you can overcome.

If the price falls below 10,000 there will be a mad rush by dumpers tonight Im sure.
