122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Overstock.com's News on Accepting Bitcoin, Underwhelming Price Boost. on: January 10, 2014, 04:53:12 PM
Well overstock should be happy, Just spent $6,800 dollars with them in bitcoin that i would not have spent if they didnt accept bitcoin. Got a new camera, laptop, a new coffee table, 24 inch computer monitor and a ton of other stuff. It was a smart decision on their part no matter how it affects the community. I would have never bought from them if they didnt take bitcoin.

Just let me know when you've found a buyer and I'll set up an escrow address for you.

Thanks man, you have been an amazing help. This forum could use more members like you.  ( and less like the 30 people who have messaged me already trying to steal my bitcoin)

Please stop messaging me if you will not use escrow, i made it very clear that i will NOT do any transaction without escrow. I cannot believe that there are so many people on this forum who are here for no other reason than to try and rip people off. People like that are going to be the death of bitcoin some day.

IF YOU WONT USE ESCROW, DO NOT BOTHER CONTACTING ME

Hi guys, thanks for having me on your forum.

I have a bunch of bitcoin i want to sell. Price will be whatever preev.com has listed at the time of sale. Will accept Western Union, Direct bank wire transfer, or Moneypack.

Seeing as this is my first time with all of this and i am not willing to risk any large amounts, the maximum transaction will be 1 Bitcoin per transaction until i have had a smooth transaction with you. After the first transaction i can sell more coins at once. Amounts over $5,000 will be BANK TRANSFER ONLY

No paypal, skrill, or credit cards. If its not one of the 3 options above there will be no sale.

We will be using Tomatocage escrow, i have already made arrangements with him. If you have a problem with escrow dont bother writing, I WILL NOT SELL WITHOUT ESCROW.

If there is one thing i have ever learned with bitcoin its DONT put it online, i have used bitcoin, sold bitcoin, exchanged bitcoin for alt coins, a lot of things face to face. Never been ripped off. But when it comes to online, i trust nobody, i have heard a ton of horror stories about bitcoin online, Escrows that are legit until they get that one large transaction that is too tempting, exchanges that are built with the soul purpose of building a good reputation just to get thousand of coin in their hands then they disappear over night. Hardware companies that sell valid hardware for a few months, then they get that huge reserve of bitcoin for orders and magically disappear over night. If there is one thing for certian i understand with bitcoin it is TRUST NO ONE

Hello Observer,
I also have been observing this whole Bitcoin thing (and other cryptos)  for a while and it's crazy!. I spent my first bitcoins a couple of years ago when they were like $10 and now they're near $1000  so it's pretty exciting to see this idea becoming stronger with time.  Cheers.  Grin

I spend bitcoin very often, i have sold a few here and there to pay some bills and that kind of stuff, but for the most part i have just been hoarding them for the past 4 years or so. i dont really care what they are worth. i just like owning them.
