How awesome would it be if CloakPal would stake for you (for a fee ofc)....
I would never recommend put a large chunk on any mobile/3rd party hosted site but to earn 6% on your pocket money at all times...hell yes!
Access to your wallet running on your computer at home from your mobile. Isn't that what cloakpal is? What does 3rd party hosted sites have to do with cloakpal? It's a little different than that - it's a separate wallet that runs independently from your computer wallet. When you register your number it gives you a new cloakcoin address to send money to. |

CloakPAL is an excellent feature for the future of Cloak and it has an interesting use right now.
There have been times when I've explained CloakCoin to people and they said 'I'll look into it'.
Now with CloakPAL I can give them one CloakCoin without these people even having a wallet downloaded.

Smokim, I'm really not trying to be a dick. The day traders as you call them are moths to a flame, and they bring you and long term holders a gift. Take it. Re-invest the profits later for more cloak if that's what suits you. The lack of distribution in this coin is appalling, and someone will help that problem soon. Benefit from the obvious.

GREAT JOB increasing that staking Team! Today we broke another record and are currently staking a massive 12 million Vericoins! As we all work together and stake all the coins we own, it becomes harder and harder for Vericoin to do any meaningful and lasting drops and easier for Vericoin to go up. One of the reasons Tesla stock skyrocketed from $25 to $100 and then $200 is because Elon and friends owned 60+% of the shares which gave Tesla stock a very low tradeable float. When we stake all our coins, we are reducing the float of available Vericoins to sell and creating a similar situation to Tesla stock.

How stupid does Poloniex's bad decision making look now?  about as stupid as when they didn't list Supercoin...actually much worst. I wonder if BTC-E would be able to resist listing CLOAK. I suspect BTC-E doesn't know how their web site is even designed. They haven't added a new coin in forever. |

1. How do you create a posa address? 2. How do you cheat? 3. How do you move to another address to cheat again? Your theory is conceptual so please elaborate on these concepts. You can ask these, and ask me to show you how I break it. But I am asking you the other way around: what did you do to prevent a potential cheat in the middle nodes? Is there any reason to prevent him from cheating? Very simple question, as I posted in the OP (and 2nd post), not difficult to answer. From what I saw in PoSA testing on Sunday, the level of programming far exceeds the expectation you'd usually find in an altcoin. PoSA far exceeds the realm of simple attacks. There are measures in place to stop man in the middle attacks, there aren't any node changes possible, and the transactions follow a myriad of paths to complete a transaction(Which are unpredictable). So, let's suss out a more specific scenario and we'll delve into this further. |

Well Cloakcoin claimed that their PoSA is a trustless system, but I read their whitepaper in the thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=637704.0It seems to me that this is not at all a trustless system. The reason is that the "elected" nodes have no restrictions at all to follow the rules (i.e. send coins to destination etc), he can change at will the transaction or even steal the coins. So the PoSA is a poorly designed trust system, which trust the "elected" node. Only until they cheated, they may be banned. Creating addresses is easy, so a cheater can simply create a new address, cheat once, then move to another address and cheat again. PoSA is not a trustless system. On the contrary, Supercoin.... (This is where everyone stopped reading and started doubting the intentions of this ad) There's a lot of guessing in this analysis. |
