We estimated the "Community Hash" of WhiteCoin to be between 5-8 GH (when you exclude the multipools from the network hashrate). We instituted a series of initiatives to facilitate the arrival of so many expected customers, and even over estimated in our approach. The WhiteCoin community has essentially smashed through our expectationsIf you think of this in real world terms, we were faced with a stampede after mining ended. I predicted this would happen what a wasted opportunity. There hasn't been a wasted opportunity, the transition occurred, the multipool is working great, and we are in the process of activating new stratums. It was a mess like i said it would be, that chunkypool is nowhere near big enough to run the whitecoin multipool. I told you before expect 20GH + Why is hashcows not listed on the OP ? I see already a few peolple moaning and moving to other coins. That's just the people saying they movies...This was a predictable mess. There should have been several options chunky pool is too small and too inexperienced. There needs to be more options. Chunkypools has been at this just as long as hashcows, and their code has stood up. Activating secondary stratums in a process is pretty far from a mess when the code base handled a gear shift of massive proportions with near perfection. The europe stratum is about to come up. Most importantly: the community needs to rally around one multipool to start. We fully intend to support other multipools in the op as the week progresses, but consensus was reached among the team that it would be too risky to promote segementing the community away from a central hub at this point. Chunky adds so much more to the equation by offering their PR expertise and unique trade based mining initiative. That's why they were the first winners of whitecoinpool.com and we're proud to stand with them. The europe stratum should now be working! Thanks so much for your patience everyone. One concern... with BC there was no expectation on price, with WC everyone is expecting price to reach xxxxx or whatever.
People will get impatient and start to sell too early ... Just HOLD your coins and pull them off the exchanges!
BC traded over a month on Mintpal before the big run up!
The inexperienced will get impatient. Those that know what's going on will hold tight. |

You are kind of fucked. Bought 2 at 2K but sold at loss to get out. The problem is that all this people buying for less will dump when they will get 2x their profits, 2K WC is not coming soon. What do you call not coming soon? Days? Weeks? Months? Has anyone here played the stock market? People would DIE for 10% return over the course of a year, yet when you come to the crypto community 100% is expected in days. Talk about a loss of perspective. You are crazy to compare this to stock market. Cryptos are gambling not investing. No real companies here, just "devs" who hide their identity and could run whenever they want. The stock market is a gamble, only difference is people are wearing suits rather than jeans and a t at the casino. There are no guarantees in the stock market, so in essence, when you invest, you're gambling. Ever hear of pink sheets? That's alternate crypto scene. I am talking about investing on Apple or Microsoft, those don't fall 1000% price in just hours... They are REAL companies. But well back to the topic of WC. Let's see how this one goes. How volatile was Apple in 1981 or Microsoft in 1980, which is 5 years after they were founded? Is it fair to compare those companies to the alt scene or to Bitcoin, which is 5 years old roughly? Remember, Apple almost went bankrupt until Steve Jobs came back around in the 90's. Again, my main point is, which you went straw-man on me, some people snicker at a 20% return when over the course of a year, that's fantastic. |

Yes could be but also increased when it was 1000 satoshis yesterday. Still 15 million more incoming for dump. Maybe it doesn't go to 125 satoshis but this is NOT the bottom.
There's been more dumping than this over the past several days, and price has slowly gone down. Now we're approaching PoS, less than 800 blocks to go, so I'm expecting a shift to more buying pressure than selling. We could easily see over 1200 satoshis by the end of today. When it starts going up itll be fast, this coin used to be at 2200 satoshis and will get there again easily soon after PoS starts, with the multipools working in our favor at that point. Disagree. The big boys are waiting to buy. Perfect example is the 8BTC sellwall at 780 that disappeared in less than a minute. They're monitoring this thread. They see how impatient people are. They'll use it to their advantage. |
