121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it smart to make a Bitcoin Faucet on: May 18, 2014, 06:41:57 PM
 Here's an idea for you.
                                   THE BITCOIN EDUCATION FAUCET
or some other title that makes it clear that it's about learning for newbies.
You could have multiple choice answers for the visitors to click to earn some satoshi. I've not seen a faucet like that yet.

Something like:  What is a tx?
                                          (a)=transaction
                                          (b)=a spoon
                                          (c)=your mamma

Every question should be about Bitcoin lingo and be written for the layman.

This is a great idea. K.I.S.S in action. Kiss
   http://www.foldscope.com/
Thought it might be a wee bit relevant in a round about way, lol, because as far as I can tell the main advantage of Btc is my ability to pay anyone, anywhere, anytime, without anybody else's permission/authority and without anyone being able to restrict my use of my money either.
 Truly democratising money. Kiss
" Democratizing Money! "  I'm going to start saying that about Btc to my friends, lol.

123  Economy / Economics / Re: What gives a fiat currency its initial value? on: April 19, 2014, 07:00:59 PM
Magic words give every fiat currency it's initial value.
"I ....... promise to pay the bearer on demand ........."
If enough people believe it then its game on.

128  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: First time Using Localbitcoins on: March 30, 2014, 02:36:13 PM
It was £10 dearer then Bitstamp prices but i'm happy to pay that to do an in-person deal.
From now on i'm assuming that the more someone knows about computers then the more crooked and untrustworthy they are.

Yes, we're processing your order as fast as possible. Currently our payment partner is overloaded, so it can take up some time. But we promise you receiving the funds within the following hours.
We are very sorry for the long delay.

136  Other / Beginners & Help / My first time trying Easyxchange on: March 20, 2014, 05:51:24 PM
    Hi people,
I'm trying converting a ukash voucher into LTC  at this site       http://www.easyxchange.net/index.php
I've not used this site  before so this is just a small order to check if it works as i've been ripped off at a different ukash conversion site before
and am wary of everybody now.
I uploaded a ukash voucher today at  around 4.45 pm(UK time) today 20/03/14 and am now waiting for some LTC to arrive.
My order was accepted and i'm waiting for an email from them now.The website didn't tell me how many LTC i would be getting for my money.
Im expecting an email in the next 24 hours telling me when and how many LTC i will get for my ukash voucher.
Hopefully this isnt a dodgy site and everything will go smoothly.
I'll post what happens,as it happens.

137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2 mysterious satoshi transfers from addresses enjoy, sochi. on: February 16, 2014, 06:44:33 PM
Hi hilarious and co  ,Will they really just disappear? or will they go back to the original 2 addresses where they will accumulate back up to whatever amount was originally loaded(Im assuming millions of addresses were spammed by the same 2 addresses)  and be available to be spent again?   That's what I was wanting to know.
138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2 mysterious satoshi transfers from addresses enjoy, sochi. on: February 16, 2014, 04:07:43 PM
I have a question about this, hopefully someone can answer it for me.
IF I understand what ive been reading  then the Blockchain wont ever confirm these 1 satoshis payments. But what happens next? Do all the 1 satoshis get sent back to the sending addresses?
If so,then that's free advertising. Genius!
139  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: my first 2 attempts to buy bitcoin on: January 26, 2014, 11:20:18 PM
Cheers BitCoinDream,
I didn't know about Paypal at the time. I do now
. I checked who accepted Neteller before I signed up with them but despite what their advertisements say, very few places accept Neteller except gambling sites and financial gambling sites. The £50 I lost is gone,i don't know where the slip of paper with the number on it is now.I could afford to lose it so im putting it down as paying for an important lesson. Grin .  Trust no-one on the internet.
Im going to meet someone on localbitcoins soon ,i'll post what happens.
140  Other / Beginners & Help / my first 2 attempts to buy bitcoin on: January 26, 2014, 09:45:23 PM
Hi everyone,
I'm new to bitcoins.I've been hitting the faucets for a couple of months now.So far it's the only way thats got me any satoshis so far. Grin thank you faucet owners.
My first attempt to buy bitcoins was just before Christmas. I set up a paypal account(I know,I know..I hadn't read the warnings yet).I don't want to give out my bank details so I go to a site that says it swaps Ukash to PayPal and to BTC.     http://ukash-pin.com/index.php    I got  a Ukash  voucher for £50,used  the site and was instantly ripped-off(lol,a fool and his money....) Result=£50 loss.
My second attempt to buy bitcoins was a few days ago.I set up a Neteller account and loaded £50 onto it,contacted someone on this site to buy 0.1 btc. Everything seemed to be going fine until I tried to send the money from my neteller account to his neteller account . Neteller wouldn't let me do it. I complained to them and they say that if I load my Neteller account with Ukash vouchers then I cant send the funds to anyone except registered merchants. Result= no bit coins but i loaded £50 onto partycasino instead. Grin I'm going to roll £50 on 1 roll on the roulette,if i win ill bet the max again.
My third attempt will probably be this week.I'm going to meet someone in person and use good old cash.
Speaking as a newbie to bitcoins and as someone that is not very computer literate, if buying bitcoins stays as complicated/irritating as it is now then i think that it will always remain as a something thats traded on the stock market only.
I've not given up on bitcoins yet.I'm toying with the idea of selling my landrover for bitcoins.i wonder if i could???hmmmm.
