They seem to be seperate people (but maybe I'm wrong)...
Good to see you again Jack. After exploring the accounts I am confident that hilariousandco and hilariousetc are alts to each others. My alt account used on unsecure connections/computers. Do not send any coins or do any business with this account without confirming it with my main one first. Ref: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=164822I spotted another one which is hilarious* Ref: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4958912.msg44695485#msg44695485So, to summarise: hilariousandco, hilariousetc and hilarious* are indeed alt to each others and I am 100% positive about it ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) By the way: After the last 504 issues have we had any other server crashing?

You should wait patiently. If something is really important, it can be done in a few hours/days here.
Thanks for the response. I do not mind waiting. I am still learning and exploring the whole lot about the forum. May be some day I will start reporting bad posts but for now or near future my focus is on creating some useful tutorials like this one: Courses [Video Tutorial 1.1.2 - Getting Started with Bitcoin Wallet]I hope the community will accept it and encourage me with tips and advises.

Links has been added to the scenes and it was the most boring part :-) Thanks to LoyceV May I suggest to add links to the scenes you're listing?

(I've added a link to the time in the quote)
Thanks for the suggestion. I can update the links and I think it will be awesome. PS: I thought people like videos more then picture but I understand where are you coming from.

They are cousin brothers. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Okay, I'm kidding. @hilariousetc is the alternative account of @hilariousandco. Or, @hilariousandco is the alternative account of @hilariousetc, but I think the first one is correct assuming @hilariousandco was created before and is in the DT, or has been a part of DT for a longer time, because I'm not sure if @hilariousetc is in the DT or not. Thanks for the information. I am keeping it simple meaning they are alt to each others.

Sometimes people also do it in an extortion attempt: "pay up or we won't stop".
Some people find it fun to do it which is obviously bad for the victim. PS: Just out of curiosity, is there any relationship between hilariousetc and hilariousandco?

DDoS attack over?
No, but for now I'm successfully filtering it. I can see the filtering is working. I am browsing the forum smoothly from last 15 minutes. Hope it's over for now until the attacker have their next move ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

It's alternating with cloudflare archive pages for me.
It took me several attempts before posting my original topic and the 2nd one. Not sure how may attempts it's gonna take me to post this comment. I guess the bounty spammers and the Twitbook posters with their bots are soaking up most of the server power. It's time they were moved onto a sidechain. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I would be interested to know about the current sever configuration. Is there any way to see it publicly?

I'm also having the same error and I guess everyone's experiencing the error too. Maybe Admin is up to something?
The 504 means 1 the server is down or not working properly. So, it could be something to do with admins recent update? Done. I only did the ones that look really similar to Latin characters, and it only applies to English sections. It's done at display time, so it's retroactive.
1One server did not receive a timely response from another server that it was accessing while attempting to load the web page or fill another request by the browser. This usually means that the other server is down or not working properly. ref

Do you have backup of your seed or private key? If yes then you have nothing to be worried at all. All you need is to reinstall the Electrum and restore the wallet. This tutorial which I created last week might help. Please visit : Idea Courses [Video Tutorial 1.1.1 - Getting Started with Bitcoin Wallet]I may need to add another tutorial showing how to restore a wallet using private key of an address.

By the way, how did I discouraged you? You already have an account but why did you felt discouraged?
I guess you missed it, I said if I was not a member here yet ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Imagine I still have not registered yet...
I hope it make sense now. I just wanted to give you my feedback in it, did not mean any offense. Regards, iPwB

In other words did you just discouraged me to register with BitcoinTalk? Imagine I still have not registered yet... 1. Disabling Registration So, the door was locked for me 2. Limit account registration per day May be I would not bother to recheck when the registration will open for the day. 3. There are designated days when the registration is available Again, I would not bother to recheck. 4. Putting a designated time where the registration is available Again, I would not have any interest to wait and check back. I understand that the forum is flooding with people who are making nonsense posts however I do believe there are legit people as well. I would suggest to have a look on my post history. Would you consider me as one of them? I do not think restricting registration is a good idea. This will bring the forum to a dead end. After all it's a forum, not a must need service that someone need like an exchange service. I have seen Binance or other exchanges were practicing this but you must know that they are exchanges which is a must need for someone who is in the cryptospace. A person can find any information related to bitcoin anywhere on the internet, s/he does not need to wait for the registration to open here and then to register. I hope it make sense. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

In the end report anything that seems fishy to you. The worst you'll get is a bad report; not a big deal really.
I am trying to understand the reporting things. Still haven't reported one yet however I will soon give it a go, Thank you for the link, I already had a quick scan, I am gonna need more reading. Too much information to absorb and the topic creator (Welsh) knows his writing. At the moment I am looking for phishing link and a referral link like jackg suggested. These are easy to spot for me. @jackg I am also trying to absorb the rules as well. The reason I am not rushing is, I do not want to end up finding myself doing error and other people reports my posts. I also do not want to hurt others with my mistakes. Thanks, keep up with the well constructive post and you will find that most here will be more than happy to help. That's all I need, a little helping hand. I am sure some day I will be able to make my own decisions when it comes to keep the community clean and healthy.

Duckduckgo is bing, startpage is Google. Bing is horrible (use startpage.com instead of duckduckgo.com).
First time I heard of startpage, I will give it a try. Thanks for that. If Google didn't exist but opened up their algorithms then I'd be alright with that. Even just granting access to the database as the algorithm is quite easy to make with the data. I don't think it's ever gonna happen. They will be happy to bury the secret rather than passing it to a community. It's a billion dollar secret if not very close to trillion, it's just my speculation. Theymos probably gets about 0.5BTC/week on advertising. Not that bad however I thought It would be more! The forum is lacking monetisation. With proper monetisation, theymos can make this forum a money making machine without even compromising anything else like annoying the members. i.e: Facebook annoys the users with their news feed ads or ad in the middle of a video clip. I think pricing Google.com at $2.5million is an underestimate, just an example though... I understand that part You can not just put a price tag to the domain that is dominating the entire internet. We've waited to long for satisfactory, we want perfection now ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) . A new software needs testing, modifying, again testing then again modifying before you find a perfect one. I hope you have this in mind ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I know you guys waited a long time and still waiting. May be I will become one of you ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)
