Sure, you can do that too.  Or you can edit the .bat file and run it.
122  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread on: February 07, 2021, 02:31:34 PM
cgminer -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 -u "zzzzMY BITCOIN ADDRESSzzzZ.0 -p x

And then just run the cgminer.exe application?

Just run that command line in the CGMiner directory and it should start mining.

Start mining to solo.ckpool.org first.  Once you get that to work correctly then move on to your Bitcoin core node.  There are several threads on how to set that up.  But get mining to solo.ckpool.org first to make sure your equipment is setup correctly.
124  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread on: January 15, 2021, 11:53:48 AM
Hey curious what people set their difficulty to?  I saw on bitmain site they recommend Th*2.3?  And from what I gather ckpool starts at 4k?

I have 4 R606 doing little over 4T and I have it set to 10000.  I don't get any stale shares but ST does sometimes go up to 1 or 2.

It  doesn't really matter.  ckpool pool adjusts automatically so that you submit about 18 shares per minute.

Minimum difficulty just prevents large miners from swamping a pool when they start mining.
125  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Say. If somebody built another small miner... on: January 11, 2021, 01:28:10 AM
Have a price point in mind?  Would it still be quiet?

Also I live by Miami now, quite a bit warmer than Wisconsin would that be a problem you think?
126  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Hacking BFL Monarchs and servicing them while times are weird. on: January 08, 2021, 03:05:27 AM
They  did kick out some heat when I was using them.  Had to open a window in the winter in Wisconsin.  Well I hope you get the other one to work too.
127  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Hacking BFL Monarchs and servicing them while times are weird. on: January 07, 2021, 11:38:05 PM
Dave,
What mining software are you using?

Those two miners have different firmware on them so one will work with CGMiner and one won't.  I couldn't get either to work with mainline BFGMiner.  So I had to use the old BFL supplied hacked version of BFG Miner.

Your asking about Altcoin and GPU mining  in the  Bitcoin only section.  Per the pinned rules you need to post in the altcoin section.
Good Luck
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have a few questions with Bitcoin. Help please? on: December 28, 2020, 05:27:36 PM
That whitepaper should answer many of your questions.  At least it should help you to properly define some terms that you are misusing.

Anyway there is also a podcast that helps explain Bitcoin as well and I recommend it.

Sounds like you  need to start with reading  Satoshi's white paper.  It can be found here in several languages.

If you mean which version of RPi OS I was using, I was using the latest lite version

I'm pretty sure all of us here are using  the standard Raspbian OS.  Why not just give that  a try?

Edit: Or was the Lite version  working for you initially?

I just read your original message.  You may have a bad or corrupted SD Card.  Have you tried reformatting it and reloading?  Or may try a different SD Card.
132  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 2% fee solo mining 257 blocks solved! on: December 16, 2020, 11:16:14 AM
10 mins has really nothing to do with the stats of your miner, unless I am missing something.

I think he was wanting his bestshare stat reset after each block was found on the network, hence the every 10 minute thing came up.
133  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 2% fee solo mining 257 blocks solved! on: December 16, 2020, 02:15:01 AM
Never happen. Stats would reset every 10 minutes and take too much processing for ck to mess with.

I would like to understand where do the 10 mins come from? based on this

The average time that a block is supposed to be found.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Basic Mining Kit on: November 12, 2020, 11:02:34 AM
Thank you.  I have done a lot of searching, and never come across a kit.  But I really never though a Pi could do any of this.  Smiley

I'm using a Pi 4 to run CGMiner for my two R606's. Along with an ATX Power supply that makes a pretty good kit.

Pi's have often been used as a controller for ASIC miners.  Plus they have allot of other uses too.  CPU consumption for CGMiner is very low.

There is no all in one kit ready to go.

But, Sidehack's R606 and a Pi 4 would be an excellent candidate for what you want.  You can find it here.

Setting up the Rasberry Pi 4 would be a really good thing for kids to do and they could do allot of other projects with that as well.

I like your idea, good luck with it.

136  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 2% fee solo mining 256 blocks solved! on: November 10, 2020, 11:01:08 AM
For a few months now I receive from time to time the message in cgminer: `missing nonces; toggling ASIC to reset`
After approximately 1.5 secs its hashing again. Does anybody know whether this error is pool sided or caused by my mining hardware?
I have 2 Gekkoscience NewPac Miners on an RPi 4.

Try posting in the Newpac thread for support.  I would probably try to lower the frequency and/or increase cooling.

Roll up guys diff dropped 16% let's get on this!
That's the biggest drop I remember seeing.  Strange that it dropped after a decent price rise.
139  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: ADVICE PLEASE -Which pool is best suited for miners not running 24/7? on: October 31, 2020, 06:40:05 PM
I wonder how Laurentia pools slow decay would suit.

Well, it would be very troubling if you didn't know.
140  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread on: October 29, 2020, 10:03:43 PM
my new 3d printed pi case - it will hold 2 raspberry pi 4's and 2 ssd's, an ice cooler on the top pi, smaller 40mm fan on the lower pi and 3 40mm case fans.

Send another pic when you get it populated.

Looks like fun!
