do i need a new wallet after the Kimoto Gravity well implementation ?
my mac wallet seem kind of stuck...synchronizing with network take since yesterday,but connection is there..
Have you updated your wallet before the fork? When was the fork? I downloaded the new wallet, or what I understood to be the new wallet yesterday. And I think I started with that wallet, actually, as I'm new to execcoin. My Debug window is showing last block time of Fri Mar 14 11:57:30 2014, and current number of blocks 43898. Client version is v0.8.6.2-unk-beta. If I'm not using the right wallet, could you point me to where to get it? I got mine from my pool page, and the operator confirmed he'd updated. Thank you. Looks like your wallet hasn't been updated. You can download an updated version from our website: www.execoin.net/#walletAwesome. Do I need to strip out ma appdata folder for the old wallet first and re-download the whole blockchain, or can I just install over whatever I have? If you use Windows installer version, just install it over. Brilliant. Done and synced. I had addnodes in a .conf from the website...guess that's unnecessary? No, it's not. With our automatic node seeder you never need to add any nodes manually. |

But now we see it's been opened again. Those who mine at exe.dedicatedpool.com please migrate to another pool to provide even hashrate distribution and to avoid possible problems with the network.
It is in YOUR interests to do that! Please switch the pool ASAP!
I re-opened it because you took us off the ANN and we are now at 37%. The coin doesn't magically fork at 50% you know. You are the developer and should know this. This is mostly wives tales that coins fork at 50% and I would of thought a developer would of known this. We are really well connected with over 30 connections. Did you know smalltimeminer ran with 80% netcoin for over 2 months? What bad happened? Nothing. The leader of Rabbitcoin has 90% hash and it's been that way since launch. Nothing bad happened. I have no problem closing the pool if it gets over 50%, because I believe hash should be spread. But to remove us from the ANN and issue warnings on FUD is not cool, especially when we have actively marketed your coin and provided an excellent pool to build up confidence of the miners when nobody else wanted to touch EXE coin. Seriously now. We do not believe in magical forks at 50% of the network hashrate. However, we do believe in some weaknesses outlined here https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Weaknesses#Attacker_has_a_lot_of_computing_powerWe don't think that you would like to do such kind of attacks, but if an attacker compromises your server, he will be able to do it theoretically (and practically, here is a very interesting story http://www.coindesk.com/feathercoin-hit-by-massive-attack). In addition, sudden drop in the net hashrate in case of problems with your server wouldn't be good without KGW, which haven't come into force yet. Posting ads in the thread after it has been removed from the lists for exceeding 50% of the network hashrate is not welcomed too. Just trying to figure out why I my reference 290 and 290x can't get past 370Kh/s (on each card, not combined thank god). They are running in ubuntu 13.10 off 14.2 drivers, ADL 6.0, SDK 2.9, and the latest vertminer. Before yous say "it's dem beta drivers!!!!" know that the PTS miner, scrypt, and scrypt keccak have all run fine at decent hash rates. The flags I have are as follows... 290x./vertminer --nscrypt -o stratum+tcp://east1.us.stratum.dedicatedpool.com:3369 * -u 0ut1awed.1 -p x -d 0 -v 1 -w 512 -I 13 -g 2 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency * 24000 --gpu-memclock 1490 --gpu-engine 1020 --gpu-powertune 20

Intensity of anything over 13 (even on a single thread) would give me HW errors. Even at these settings after about 340k accepts, I have approximately 1k rejects and 80 HW errors (on each card, give or take). I have also tried dialing back the memory and increasing/decreasing clocks to no avail. As for the TC I tried everything from 10240 to 27000 with pretty much zero change. I setup specfic multiples of the 2816 on my 290x. At 4x(11264) I was getting 355Kh/s. Then at 5x(14080) and 6x(16896) I was back at the 370-375Kh/s average. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also.... GET OFF OF DEDICATED POOL! IT HAS MORE THAN HALF THE HASH AND HAS FOR QUITE SOME TIME.
Why is it still listed as the first pool in OP (with "NEW!" beside it none the less)?With all these coins going down the drain do people really want their investments to continue to be flushed away? |
