Volume on other exchanges does factor into whether we launch another coin but every coin comes from somewhere.  We just launched MINT, POT, and DRK which already have good volume on other exchanges and big fan bases.  But we're also willing to take a chance on a new coin like GPUC or ZEIT because we think they may break out into something bigger. 

There's a good balance and polls like this matter because we don't want coin developers to pay to be in our exchange.

There is a problem with the C2 network right now and our blockchain is not getting updated.  Due to that, we're postponing giving out the promotional coins until it is resolved.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

We're looking to add coins based on community demand as well as coins which contribute novel innovations to crypto-coin technology.  

This is our second iteration of the community poll.  The winners from the first version were:  DRK, BC, MINT, and C2.  

Because of their overwhelming support in the poll, we've decided to change our coin release plan and launch the top 4 coins directly into Bittrex.  Today, we've launched DRK and MINT, along with SYN and POT.

Later this week, we expect to launch BC and UTC along with MYR.

Your suggestions haven't fallen on deaf ears.  We're planning to launch many coins over the new few weeks.  The poll is just one avenue for getting a coin launched in our site.

I'm going to close this version of the poll down and restart it again for fresh voting.  The people have overwhelmingly spoken and had me reevaluate some of our new coin launch plans. We'll be working with the top 4 coins in the poll to get them launched on our exchange.

It's true that we ask for coins to get donated for testing.  In the past, we've only requested 1,000 of them to stress our wallets.  Other sites want large sums of BTC donated before adding coins.  Instead, we're choosing to eat the cost of running trading pairs and wallets and trusting that the community will show up for the coins that we've added. 

I've also recently reached out to some of the coins asking to get launched on the site if they'd like to run a marketing partnership with us.  ZEIT has done something very successful by tipping people for sign ups.  It has driven traffic to us and gotten visibility for them. 

I understand the skepticism and the low amount of volume traded is concerning but we're seeing our deposits building steadily as people are mining directly into their bittrex.com wallets and our sign ups are growing 10% per day.  I expect more traders to trust us and start filling our order book and momentum will build.
