121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | Block 2600 ETA 19:00 EST on: March 09, 2014, 06:43:04 PM
Yayyy I'm up to .1 coin after 3 hours! I'm so glad the dev and friends are throwing around millions or billions of coins woohoo! Yippie! Can I buy a 290x when I'm up to a billion coins too? In about 35 years?
wait for the real reward system to kick in last 5-6 pages have the same stuff on it
True True Smiley I know , I'm just pointing out how weird it is Smiley Anyways my miners are set up and locked in finally. I have em set with CGwatcher to switch over to oakpool when it's about time. My 2nd smaller rig, I'm leaving it pointed at oakpool so I don't have to think about that one. Solo mining StableCoin in the meantime, because I can solo hit 5 or 6 blocks an hour with it and sell for good profit.

UPDATE:
Thanks for the input guys, I think I found some magic settings. I'll keep tweaking tiny clock settings, but I have the basics smoothed out I think. The Elpida ram on these cards is a little picky about settings and sweet spots... for scrypt it actually prefers to be just under 1500 so I usually run 1495~1497 and get the best hash rate there. Wow Scrypt-N is a pain to set up! I just bought another gigabyte 280x yesterday on ebay...I so wish it were here today lol!

This is probably a better question in a different thread but...
Anyone with 7870's and/or the nice gigabyte 280x's please share your thread concurrency (tc) and intensity? I've been trying everything it seems, just wondering if anyone found magic.

For my Asus 7870's I'm using tc 2048 and I 11 or 12, getting about 120-130 khash which feels about 50 low.

For my gigabyte 280x (rev 2, the new black one) I'm trying all kinds of the recommended tc and keep getting hw errors. 8193, 4096 mucho hw errors and few accepts.
Any ideas?

I am using for my 280X: vertminer.exe --scrypt-vert -o stratum+tcp://gpu.hashfever.com:3262 -u YOURUSERNAME -p YOURPASSWORD -d 1 -w 256 -g 2 -I 13 --thread-concurrency 8193 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-engine X --gpu-powertune 0

I had to lower my clock to 1000 and it got me to about 320 kh/s.

This was posted by another user some pages back
Yeah I'm doing something wrong with my 280x... I'll keep trying. See the screenshot, I'm getting good khash but few accepts and mad hw errors right now Sad The 7870's are doing better at the moment lol
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | Block 2600 ETA 19:00 EST on: March 09, 2014, 04:35:33 PM
So we are going to be able to mine a lot more coins after 2600? Whats the point in that or am i missing something?
You're probably missing that the current block reward is just 1 coin while the network stabilizes and everyone gets their settings figured out. Then after block 2600 the serious mining begins, and the block rewards will be the normal 20 coins Smiley Smiley happytime!
I think...lol.. fixed

Ok, so I mined this thing since launch, as I was very excited about it! Now mining since launch, I have .4 coins to show for it. .4 coins!! As in less than 1 coin. Okay whatever, I'm done, I'm out. So now I want to transfer my .4 coins of 8 hours or whatever of mining, and I find out that and
Quote from: stashdev

want a .1 transfer fee to withdraw my lousy .4 coins, leaving me with .3 coins if I transfer them out to my wallet.

Can #stashdev or #SCryptoMiners tell me how this makes sense?

While I agree that 2600 blocks was way too long (should have been maybe 1440 blocks = 24 hours or even 720 blocks = 12 hours or 360 blocks = 6 hours), I like this coin release method.

At any rate, the current estimate on hitting block 2600 is roughly:
Monday 5:07AM GMT
Monday 1:07AM East Coast US
Sunday 10:07PM West Coast US

That can (and will) change as the hash power goes up and down and the block solve time goes up and down.  But it gives you a rough idea of time.

...queue up the UK complaints... Wink

LOL

thats why we use CGwacther Smiley

+1 Yes, if you're not using CGwatcher and CGmonitor, you're not mining properly in my opinion. I've tried to inform people who cry and whine like 5 year old girls about these great programs. But apparently Whining for hours is more fun than googling for 5 second lololol!
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | Block 2600 ETA 19:00 EST on: March 09, 2014, 02:11:58 PM

Wait, those a$$holes rerererelaunched already? It was supposed to be later this evening? http://www.altcoincalendar.info/coins/110-GPUC
And to think I was there with you through all those fails, and I still have millions of these useless coins.
You haven't missed anything. The block reward is only 1 coin until we reach block 2600. We're only on  block 1680 ATM.

PS: You'll need to delete all your old wallet info and download the new one.
Oh okay.Yeah I know, I've downloaded and cleared 3 or 4 wallets from them now. Well I'm in, solo mining for what its worth. I'm glad to accept more abuse from this coin. I've already spent over 12 hours of mining and troubleshooting and setups with this coins so I might as well be in for some more abuse at this point lol!

"Okayyy, I'm reloaded!!"

ScryptoMiners

Just really slow..  Getting about 1/2 capacity on my rig...  was really bad earlier..  Little better..

How is it now?
Pool is looking good, but I apparently don't have the gear for SHA Sad it doesn't make sense that my $1000+ worth of GPUs will get 4 coins per day!!??? According to the pool rates page.

I have two 7870's, two gigabyte 280x Rev2, and a R7 240 pointing there, and 4 coins in 24 hours? The top guys are getting hundreds of thousands per day.

Meanwhile, I can solomine 5-7 blocks per hour of Scrypt coins. I can't compete with the ASIC farms at a KGW launch apparently.

But this was fun, I think I gotta be out now and leave you SHA guys to it.
Good luck! Smiley

12 minutes... and the instaminers already hit it. Took 12 minutes to get a node working. 12 minutes too long. Damnit damnit damnit

will the pools be live in 10mins as well?
It takes pools extra time to get the code set up.

Okaypool seems to have a problem with tokens...

Try Chrome

Cheers Buddy
Yeah with the "token" things, just keep retrying and it will get through after a couple times. Many pools have those set up to keep out bots.

I find it funny that dev posts an hour before and says 1 hour to launch, then at last minute delays yet again.....  pretty weird to me.

If you must know, someone started mining a couple hours ago on a seperate node i had. I was trying to recreate another Genesis block and restart the coin before the launch time. I have delt with it, I mean it when i say i want a fair and honest coin.

but no one wants excuses, bring on the hate until 0:00, atleast it will keep the thead at the top Tongue.

Not hating, just some of us have families and everytime we are ready, it gets delayed, and now I cant make the launch, since I have devoted too much waiting already.  It's alienating the people who have waited patiently, and rewarding people who are able to hang around here non stop for the eventual launch that has been promised multiple times.

ffs get a life.
It kinda sounds to me like he has one... ;P

Yea, thanks.

I do have a life....hence why all the delays are a pain.  I guess if you can afford to sit in front of a computer 24/7 and not live life or have a family, the delays don't matter.  I could care less when it starts, but I dont want to be told a time, then it get delayed like 5 times.  It's wasting the time of people who have real life stuff, but want to catch this coin.

I'll tell you a super special secret, for free. The best mining tool available is CGwatcher, it's totally free. You set up the tool to watch your miners and run your .bat files, or join various pools, or do any possible different thing at any possible different time in any possible combination. You can set it to just run the .bat file to the StashCoin pool, set it keep restarting the miner if met with certain errors (fail to connect, ect), and then you can get back to your life Smiley It's a great free program that has a lot of features Smiley

Please help me, how to mine solo the StashCoin?
We cannot provide you a complete and adequate tutorial on how to solomine in this thread. Please google. It will take you about 1 month to learn everything completely. I'm sure there's other thread around here somewhere that will save you time and teach you how. I suggest joining a pool, 1 hour before launch is NOT the time to learn how to solomine.

Well thanks, yes please don't let the preminers kill the rest of us Sad I'm so sick of that. Please make a new genesis and don't let it out yet till launch.

In the meantime though, we may continue posting funny pictures just because we are bored as sh** lolol Smiley like this one, I dunno but it cracked me up:
