This is going up fast, but the only real way to make money would be to have Doge go down because no one is buying Sprouts with Bitcoin and the price of Sprouts doesn't seem to matter against Doge.

I downloaded and installed the wallet on 2017-08-17 (three days ago) and used the method I described in my previous post. I installed the wallet on a Win 10 system and had no problems at all. With the snapshot installed it took less than 10 minutes to sync to the network. Currently staking and says on day 2.
My only suggestion is to make a backup of your wallet.dat file(try manually and not through the wallet as well, meaning make a copy of the wallet.dat file in appdata\roaming\Sprouts) ---Always make a backup of your wallet.dat file---
- Then delete the whole Sprouts folder in appdata\roaming.
- Start the wallet again from the Sprouts.exe file you extracted and then close the wallet.
- Extract the correct files from the snapshot to the new appdata\roaming\Sprouts folder and let the wallet sync to the network.
Note: You must also create a sprouts.conf file in the appdata\roaming\Sprouts folder with the correct nodes.
- Restart the wallet
- Only when the wallet is synced, close the wallet again and replace the new wallet.dat file in appdata\roaming\Sprouts with your backup wallet.dat file. Start the wallet again.

Hi guys, I need some help getting my coins from my old wallet to the new Coin2.1 wallet.
I currently have my old wallet on an old pc not connected for file sharing on the network, I have no other software installed on that pc and I don't open any browser, reason for that is I had coins stolen from my wallets before.
I saw the instruction on the OP, but it mentions taking screenshot of the old wallet. Can I send a picture taken with a camera instead? I have XP on the other pc and can't take a screenshot.
Is there any instruction I must follow, what must I do?

I want to continue discussions, but that forum is awful looking lol. nobody seems to want to join me in the #energycoin room on freenode. chat rooms are a nice way to keep a continuous conversation and we can also look into setting up a lottery tipbot with a big jackpot to bring more people to the room and to our community. I am in the #PandacoinPND room and they have something like this and they have a very active and supportive community. #energycoin has only two users. me and First2Fight. where's the love at?  I did join there when you just announced it, I was on the chatroom for a couple of hours but nobody else joined and thought no one is interested. If we can move forward there I will be happy to be there every time I can. I will support the chat room and any positive initiative for EnergyCoin. The reason I like the forum is the fact that an idea can be posted and you can leave it there where everyone can read it again if they need to. EnergyCoin and ENRGF should be an open-source orginization and not only alogorithm and code, but everything we expect from it. I feel to be an organization, EnergyCoin community should get a structure, plan and get organized. I saw posts earlier about getting a Facebook group up and feel this is very important and urgent for the commuity to discuss matters in an appropriate environment. Unfortunately I don't have any experience with Facebook since I don't have an account. I will start an account should i have to to be part of an EnergyCoin project. Is there someone in the community with the knowledge to do so and start a group or something similar where interested members can register and get involved. To me it looks like there is more than enough members to make a good thing better, all we need is some structure and to get things going. There's a lot of good plans and opportunities out there but we need to start somewhere and as soon as possible. We need as many members possible to help EnergyCoin be successful. I hope this does not piss anybody off, but I took the liberty of compiling a quick list of members on this thread who seems interested in the well being of EnergyCoin. That is the reason we have to be special and create other reasons that people will buy and hold ENRG. This right here. For whatever reason, people still don't understand where value comes from. You can have a coin that has 1 billion total and each one be worth $10. That's a $10 billion market cap. You can release a coin that only has ONE total, ever, and it be worth $0. That's a $0 market cap, despite being the most rare one in existence. Coins don't magically gain value just by being created. If they did, we wouldn't need Bitcoin; each person would just make millions of new coins and everyone would be a billionaire. Coins gain value by having REASONS to get them. The number is irrelevant. How they are MINED is irrelevant. They will never have value unless people have a REASON to invest. Good point. We have to think what a good REASONS can be to buy and hold ENRG! ENRG has in my opinion a sustainable image for saving Energy. I normal multitool is not a very good idea to build on a sustainable image For ENRG. I was reading in the BlackCoin topic and they have same good ideas. Maybe go there and see if we can impement this For ENRG. The imago of ENRG is beter than BC in my opinion, the name BlackCoin gives me not good feelings, GreenCoin sounds beter but that is not their coin name. +1 EnergyCoin needs some features and something to back up the energy saving image in order to get on top. This is an interesting angle to take... you may need to come up with a way to make them attribute "black" to it though. Most would think the name is negative because they'd be thinking "go green!" Not "go black." This is what I mean, and we can do this and also do have a green image. This quote is from Blackcoin topic. To add real value to Energycoin is to get it out into the real world and promote Energycoin at first to all non-profit renewable energy institutions/organizations. If I am not wrong there are currently hundreds of these in every country around the globe, and they are growing due to the fact that renewable energy resource technology and implementation will be a technological field to see a lot of expansion in the coming years. These non-profits could greatly benefit from Energycoin (Donations & trading) once they except it. They can then help to promote Energycoin at institutions that currently donate money for them to use Energycoin rather than fiat currency and they can get Energycoin name out by adding the "Energycoin accepted here" banner on their web sites/other media. So, if Energycoin can become a means of donating to renewable energy institutions, the coins will have to be bought and that will increase the value which will be real value unlike a lot of the other cryptocoins. We must use all means available to achieve this... especially internet media. (What is happening with Energycoin's Twitter account?) Once this phase is started and going well, we need to promote Energycoin at all different businesses that sell any services or goods to accept Energycoin. If it is accepted as a payment system then that will be the only time it is doing what it is supposed to be doing and that is being a cryptoCURRENCY. It would be nice if Energycoin community can create an open structure to handle different tasks, where community members with the rightful experience and expertise could get together in for instance a sales/marketing division, research and development for the devs etc who knows? As motivation - everyone will gain if Energycoin gains. |
