121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: May 16, 2024, 10:29:10 PM
If Valencia can attack properly then there is a chance to win the game.  But they could not capitalize on this opportunity as both teams' defenders and goalkeepers were very strong.
Real Sociedad players managed to score within three minutes of the game, which is why I can say that the start of the game did not really attract attention.  But later on both teams started to focus and perform well and were not able to score goals despite the attacks.
Valencia didn’t play good football today. I go some extent expected more from them, especially with the fact that, it was just a goal difference and there was room to get something out of the game but, they were a lot laid back. They allowed Real Sociedad to dominate them in the first half and coming to the second half, Valencia couldn’t pick up the pace. It was a very much deserved win by Real Sociedad and an important 3 points too.

Barcelona yet again seals the deal on a 2 goals to nothing. Once more, Xavi substitutes Lewandowski early in the game which gets people wondering what’s the message behind these early substitutions. For some reasons, his not becoming much of an attacking threat as is expected of him but, he does well in maintaining possession around opposition box. Fermin today made all the difference, one headed goal and other from his foot. He was just in all the right places.
122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 16, 2024, 10:07:16 PM

one thing about players is that when you over use them, definitely they will lose form over time to manage players is another key things that must be taking seriously. and rashform performance dropped and he was finding it difficult to meet up. it is what it is there is nothing that can be one in this situation. concerning Manchester united
When the coach knows that the player is capable then indeed they will continue to try to play a player who is considered a player.

It is indeed, coaches play the game while the players just feature. That’s why, it’s very easy for the management to call the coach and put him in the center of the team’s performance either badly or when they are playing well. It’s one reason why during the transfer seasons, he gets the chance to get a few players he could work with into his team and be competitive.

Club depth is very important to a team, so it’s not uncommon to find several players being used more often than required. When the team haven’t got some club depth, rotation of players becomes really difficult to archive. It’s the work of the coach to find best means in the most difficult situation.
123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer the crypto online gambling or regular fiat casinos gambling? on: May 14, 2024, 10:10:55 PM
I really can’t say, if I prefer one to the other, they both have there challenges and benefits but really, I just gamble where I’ve got money to take a bet. Most times, it’s the online fiat platforms but, it doesn’t make it a most preferred option, just an option none the less.

Crypto Casinos and Sportsbook have got a KYC problem. You win too big, have some deposit error (in rare cases), some behavior that seems strange on your account and more then, you could find them asking for KYC documents. This however isn’t popular with fiat gambling platforms.
When it comes to fiat gambling, you win too big, you’re likely to report to a regional head office to cash in. That’s some terrible idea as well, it spells insecurity about it and one minute, you could be making headlines. So unwanted.

They really do have there merits and demerits.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 14, 2024, 10:04:12 PM
I won't blast Son so much for what, Arsenal should have dine during the game against Aston Villa. I will always have that game in my skull as Mikel Arteta didn't do well to in that game during this second phase of the Premier League Competition.  There's every possiblity that Manchester City will want to cause havoc on West Ham United come weekend.

Thanks to Jeremy Doku for winning that penalty after the poor challenge from Pedro Porro.
Of course they should have. Expecting someone else to clean your own dirt or do the dirty work you were unable to do is just sick. Arsenal had the chance, they were comfortably at the top of the league and in good form too. Just that one poor performance from them and now they look on for which team is going to undo Manchester City for them. Which team even looked reliable even, what team, I guess none.
Having to trust Spurs was just Arsenal fans putting their trust in the wrong place. Spurs aren’t fit enough to do much against a title hungry Manchester City. They’ve got little diversions now and Pep knows what to do. His been in this position before, hanging on by just a thread and little by little, he earns the important 3 points to be ahead. Simple Manchester City trick.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does the world know about Bitcoin? on: May 14, 2024, 07:17:29 PM
To me i think there are some part of the world that still don't know anything about Bitcoin, because there are people in USA, UK, Australia, Canada, China, etc. even in Nigeria there are people that don't know anything about Bitcoin, they always think that Bitcoin is a scam, but people that know about it are making thousand of Dollars,($) I think they don't know that we are in a digital world now.
Forgive me for asking but,
What do you hope to archive with this topic?

I feel it’s a thing of concern as every thread tends to have that one thing it hopes to archive and for this one,
Well, you could say you just want to know if there are parts of the world that don’t know about Bitcoin and of course the answer is always going to be yes. Your first line in the topic agrees even so, why the thread, what’s the purpose?

Even in the future when Bitcoin becomes very popular, if it does or attain a mainstream such that, it’s more conveniently used, there would always be those that would be alienated to it and it’s okay. End of discussion!
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is bitcoin for you? on: May 14, 2024, 07:09:58 PM
Give me your best answers, videos, urls, stories, anything

for me it is the history, people connected to it, the community and everything surrounding it.
I must say the first comment drove me into checking up your profile and at an instant, it’s almost evident that you’re not really concerned about the topics you create. You’ve got 50 posts and 17 of those are topics, low value topics at that, in fact, one is even to be removed or something.

If you really hope to learn, I doubt you would go far with the methods you’re employing. You should try to be more detailed while creating your threads, show some effort in cause of its creation, do researches even, it would stimulate your desire to know and that would be a big boost for you.

To keep it simple and on thread, I would say Bitcoin is the future of finance and getting in early creates for you an uneven advantage to those that would come later.
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto as job salary - Yay or Nay? on: May 14, 2024, 07:04:20 PM
Let's say you have a job that gives you the option to have your salary paid in BTC, ETC, or any other cryptocurrency, would you prefer that or would you rather still be paid in fiat? If you'd prefer crypto payment, which currency would you choose and why?

This would be your hard-earned money that can either grow on its own or shrink in value within a small time.
Over the course of last year and the year before that, we had celebrities that wanted their wages to be paid by them promoters using Bitcoin, even some of the sport guys too, mainly baseball. This did make the news and trend for a while before it gradually didn’t feel like anything new. It’s a rare opportunity but, it ain’t anything new to receive your payment in Bitcoin.

If you happen to be working with any organization or corporation that gives you the leverage to choose a payment media in cryptocurrency, of course it would be best you go Bitcoin today or any other day. You should make certain considerations though, like the network fee which might serve some delays but, you’ve still got some benefits.

Like, you don’t get to plan on how you’re going to reinvest or invest in Bitcoin no more. The most you would find yourself doing is, withdrawing just what you need and being a hodler on the rest. It plays into having a good Bitcoin investment plan without any actual planning.
128  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Global Bitcoin influence. on: May 13, 2024, 11:31:43 PM
Politicians has become more interested in Bitcoin and have invested In it massively believing in the full potential of Bitcoin , they didn't stop at just investing, political rallies and campaigns are already experiencing the power of Bitcoin as it is being talked about, promoted just like we saw Donald Trump do some weeks ago in the USA, Bitcoin making its way to political conversations is a sign that Bitcoin bringing the world to one Economy
This na the place way I don see say Bitcoin make sense to some of these politicians, when it comes to political rallies and fund raising to support their political ambition, afterwards, watin we go observe na say, them just forget all about Bitcoin and focus on other issues of the state. Even in the face of rising threat to the technology, them turn away their sight and ears. Them rather okay ignorant than get involved.
When we talk about uni-economy, that kind thing exists at all? I don’t think and e no fit really happen. The world and the nations within would always try to be self sufficient then share resources and use one currency across all nations. This thing na watin don Dey attempted by some closely related states as, na edge to boost trade relations between non member states with exchange value. Na also means of control and all these na watin them fit stand to lose as them no fit properly taxe Bitcoin. The world never Dey ready for that kind upgrade.
129  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Do Not Pressure Anyone Around You To Invest In Bitcoin. on: May 13, 2024, 11:22:43 PM
Even as we encourage some of our brethren to invest, we shouldn't made it mandatory as if they will have no other opportunities in life to become rich if they do not invest in cryptocurrency. Back to what I witnessed today which led to this information, a guy was busy blasting his friend in public for not
No be lie say Bitcoin or cryptocurrency as a whole no fit be everybody thing. Yes, no be everybody go gbadu this cryptocurrency thing, especially now way be say, government still never know watin to do with am and how to place am, them just dey fight am back and forth and then, you go con dey tell person to risk am and take up Bitcoin investment, e go hard them to agree with you and when you see like that, free them.
Instead of you to try persuade them, support them in whatever decision or field of investment way them put body. Na when e con be say, them just wan dey relax dey chop na em bad pass. That one eh, you fit lash out on them when them carry their own worry your own but, no make reference to the Bitcoin investment way them no join you do. E fit be say no be their thing.

I came closer to really understand why he was so angry with his friend I overheard him saying that he can no longer be taking care of him because he refused to invest when he asked him to.
I understand this guy pain to some extent shah and I no go blame am. To Dey take care of person for this life no be small responsibility, especially person way be adult and e get what it takes to Dey independent but e just Dey dull en self. One thing e gats realize be say, time dey go and when you get person way dey take care of you, that fit be comfort in a way and person way dey comfort zone no go really make plenty progress. Maybe this en friend lashing out go be the push way e need. I no blame en friend at all.
130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 13, 2024, 11:10:28 PM
Feels good to watch EPL average teams fighting for UCL spots and more importantly other securing good positions on the table, everything comes with gradual steps and improvements. Aston Villa was incredible tonight, fought and draw points with Liverpool on their home ground. This was one of the thrilling performances coming from Aston Villa and their urge to play in the UEFA Champions League next season still stays alive and Unai Emery is already making that happen.
Aston Villa really wanted to get something out of the match and they did. How one man’s injury situation could really bring in the guy that would turn the game around for Aston Villa. Zaniolo after he had just came on as a substitute for Tielemans, he missed a golden opportunity that was delivered right to his foot by Bailey and though he managed to put the ball on target, he made it too easy for Alisson Becker to collect. That was yet another chance for Aston Villa that was thrown away.
Not too deep in the game he caught an injury and on came Duran. You could tell he had eyes on goal since he got in. His first attempt was blocked, he had the chance to pass the ball to Watkins but, chose to go for it with a quick turn but, couldn’t find a great view of the goal or had a nice contact. Late on in the game, he had that strike from just outside the keeper’s box to get his first and soon after got a second goal. Liverpool must be real disappointed as they felt they had this 3points safely but, Aston Villa was determined not to loss at home.
131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 13, 2024, 08:08:35 PM
Liverpool players can only play a good match, for Klop to remember these few last games,
This is Klopp's last away game with Liverpool, and that is a good reason for the players. They have not made it easy for Aston Villa who still need to secure their champions league qualification which will be a very big achievement for the club in over a decade. Aston Villa had the best chance in the first half to score, they missed it. Although Aston Villa are not leading in this game, they look like they will win the game, penetrating the Liverpool defense has not been a problem for them, they simply need to finish off well.
As the game continues to unfold, we can see more than enough will for Aston Villa in trying to not just equalize but take the lead away from Liverpool. They’ve got the more reason to win this one even and just Klopp’s last away game with the team can push for. Aston Villa need the points to stay up, they are playing at home and still got goals in this match with the way it’s carrying. So many missed chances in the first half though, great chances to not just be the equalizer but put the team ahead. There haven’t been a dull moment in the game and am eager to see what the second half holds.

Was up for Icopress and am glad I did it, seems guy gave up on the competition when @Icopress found himself beyond the 10th position. Wouldn’t say it’s not a good season. [...]
I understood that I would not get into the top 5, so I made a big change in the team to prepare for this game week (I think it cost me 40-50 points). But I did it in advance so that my points would not be taken off this game week. Everything seems to be going great so far (the only competitor is cryptofrka).

The only thing that can stop me from winning this game week is if Palmer doesn't score in the next match and if Manchester United don't score a single goal. Even if everything goes well (which I don't really hope for), I need at least 160 to win the consolation prize.
40-50points deduction to get to this point, seemed like a plan that should strike gold in having to give up the contest for a consolation price. I guess there are many ways to win even while you’re under the radar. Had to revisit your team and seeing what is in place, including a DG bench boost, that’s something worth the try on nothing.

@Igebotz, finally got to get Jackson, he seemed promising amongst other contenders coupled with the DG but, at this point, his done nothing.
Jackson finding his confidence after the haircut: Cheesy. Jackson has really good potential to be a super pick for next season if he can keep scoring.
Hair style did P. Pogba no good, funny N. Jackson followed same path. I guess the encouragement from the legend Didier D. did well to shape him in the last days of this season.

Trofo I picked Haaland following your speculations of on the rise, hope he touches golf in their second fixture.
Gvardiol got the highlight of the game against Fulham, not Haaland. Gvardiol looks to be taking shooting practice.
He’s the trick for the DG so far, just don’t know how I didn’t crack that one and went for Walker instead. He’s made a huge difference this week.
133  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest on your dependants if you too must grow further on: May 12, 2024, 11:35:16 PM

I think more of African people would understand this better where economy system can be so hard and the people struggles to make living and add values to their lives while those opportuned to breakthrough those hard times are being overweighted to grow higher due to responsibility surrounding them.

Perhaps Africans have such a vision as a cold calculation about not being dependent on those people to whom they, in principle, owe. But in my country, there is a slightly softer definition of everything that the OP wrote.
The fact that parents should raise their children, teach them, and give them an education, the value of which children will understand when they become adults, is natural! This is normal, and this is correct. Telling children they are dependents? No. It was you who gave birth to them. And you owe it to them. And if children grow up to be slackers, it’s again your fault, not theirs.
Family involves relatives, and what kind of family relationships you have will be visible in the children you raise. The more successful they are, the more you realize that you gave them everything you had to give, namely love and the desire for a better life for them.
Dependency might be the word but, duty or obligation over rides it when it comes to the children you’ve got. Your job can never be referred to in that context and having a child means, it’s in your place to teach to that child all that he or she needs to survive in the real world as an adult and what ethics to live by. Let’s not forget, these little ones come to us as clean slates and begin to learn and unlearn through different thought patterns which involves mimicking what they see and hear as well as I been directly taught to them.
So also is the means to define what is important and not, how to be financially responsible for one’s self and the people around them. At some point in life, your ward gets to try being his or her own person and then you would find out what jobs you might have done well or not.

When it comes to friends and other family relatives, yes, it’s also a case of having to teach them what means it would be to fbe financially stable. A tree doesn’t make a forest they say and if all the birds in the forest are to nest on a single tree, you would have a sick tree that would weirder and dies. So does a human that doesn’t care about enriching his or her circle, you don’t get to grow financially as you directly or indirectly become responsible for a whole lot of individuals.
134  Economy / Economics / Re: If you want to be wealthy you need action on: May 12, 2024, 11:20:04 PM
You need to take action and learn from the mistakes
Knowledge come only from experince.

You can read books listen all the gurus, but it's nothing compared with your own experince.
Instead of reading the books or listening the gurus learn the basics and start action make some moves because you will need to be ready to make mistakes don't take this emotionally be with mindset that you gona have nice long 3 years of working with something make mistakes don't think about them too much just make notes what went wrong and move on dont make same mistake try new way.
If the second line of your write up goes to prove anything, it proves that knowledge doesn’t come from experience only. You don’t need to experience everything before you know them.

I don’t know if you really did read most of what you wrote there but, am greatly surprised that you said, instead of having to read books or listen to gurus, learn the basics…
How do you learn by not reading or listening to someone at some point?
These are learning phases of you didn’t realize that. Reading, writing and listening are a very vital learning phase that would guide you in what ever action you hope to action after you must have learned. As much as you would want to practice what is been taught to you, your theoretical phase is very important, never underestimate that.

You don’t also need to make a mistake in other to learn, you can also learn from other people’s mistakes.
135  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Canada fines binance $4.38mln for money laundering violations? on: May 12, 2024, 11:09:42 PM
Hey anyone can put a link to a news article and ask us to talk about it. You know it would be good to give a synopsis of what the article, and then share your thoughts.
That's how it should be done.
It is not everyone that will click on the link. We are all too care about phishing links. Have this in mind for next time..
I think he just wants to be a FUDster to make people sell their holdings from Binance.

This issue is always there since CZ pleaded guilty to money laundering and I'm sure not only Canada will ask for fines but also other countries that have strong AML.
When you have the government sell you a deal through your lawyer, it might have seemed like his best option but, the deals are sure to continue with every strong world power government where Binance is functioning and that is everywhere. Just another way to launch an attack on cryptocurrency by attacking any large corporation within its system. Binance is the biggest or one of the biggest  centralized exchange in existence and an attack on them could go to some length to promote FUD but the good news is, pro-Bitcoiners and cryptocurrency enthusiasts knows better not to be shaken by this.
I think if the government is calling for regulations, there are a more better way to do it than a lawsuit. Going after these big guys is just laughable and that’s just so small a fine just to make headlines.

Whoops. Another week of forgotten picks. Not that I might have done very much different, but do wish I remwmbered before this busy weekend.

-24 off first position what??

Yeah a better chance of making it to the Top. It's called a Bottler league for a reason.

Halaand fck off....

+ Wilson, Isak, Gordon, Son, Richi, Trippier, every Brighton asset and Walker.

At this point I'll just write off all Manchester United players already.

Only winners here are Everton, Crystal Palace, and I guess Chelsea assets (except Palmer I'll predict)

See you next season indeed Igebotz  Grin
Lol…, am saying the same thing to myself just now, it’s over to next season. My brother @Igebotz did mention it and I didn’t give it good attention then, I find myself doing it again, with at least a game chip not to use. I really do keep doing that, thanks to the FPL policy, it’s my second season in the game though so, I won’t take too much of it but, am sure to feature next season and @Trofo, it’s going to be game on you,,, out for the big fish now.

Was up for Icopress and am glad I did it, seems guy gave up on the competition when @Icopress found himself beyond the 10th position. Wouldn’t say it’s not a good season.

137  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much of my salary should I use to gamble on: May 11, 2024, 03:39:36 PM
Gambling is becoming a popular thing in my locality almost everyone gamble and even colleagues gamble and engage in gambling related discussions at work,  so gambling is legal and very popular so there is no Shame in using part of a salary to gamble with that is why I am asking the question of what the right percentage from my salary that I should use to gamble?
This question you are asking only you can answer it because it's actually your salary and you are the one who knows how and where you think you will get inconveniences if actually you used the money to gamble.
As much as one would like to stick to specifics, a strategy on how you do it could help a gambler find means or define just where they could draw the lines for limits on them gambling habits. 1/10 has been a number that is very much associated with savings, it’s not my style or by any means how I approach gambling but, I think if your in desperate need to determine just how much you should be gambling with, you can choose 1/10 of your earnings to set that record for you. It could help you especially, if your an addict that spends all your earnings gambling unconsciously, it would set the part to controlled gambling.
In the end, it’s really up to the individual to know just how much problems they’ve got, how to appropriate their expenses and find out just how much might be okay to still be cool living with them gambling habits.
138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 11, 2024, 03:21:43 PM
Manchester City managed to secure an impressive 4-0 win against Fulham today and move to the bottom of the Premier League points table. Since Manchester City is facing the most competition this season, they will increase their game performance to be more excited.
I wouldn’t call that manage, that’s a whole 4 goals on that score line man. It’s a lot to call it manage, they are taking a stand towards their title race, it’s just two games left and they’ve just shown that they still got it to seal the league. Early kick offs are always a hard start but, they made it look easy.

I think someone decides to standup for Spurs today and it’s not Son but Johnson, his been a very creative player, involved in all the best plays for the team and has managed to come up with an equalizer with his assist against Burnley in a home game. Like, this is a team that have really had difficult plays with other teams but, have handled Spurs very easily. I do hope Spurs could manage to win this one because, they should.
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where Will It Go If The Money Comes From Illegal Source on: May 10, 2024, 10:57:51 PM
Is it legal for casinos to keep the money?

This discussion is based on a question of our bro seoincorporation

Casinos ask for KYC to avoid money laundering, but if the gambler isn't able to give the requested data then the casino keeps the money. If the casino keeps the money isn't that Money laundering?

Let's have an open conversation on this
If am to base my opinion on money laundering, we would understand that it follows a part and that means, it gets to return to the criminal for his or her use. The casino having to hold this money breaks the process but, where does the money go afterwards raises some concerns. This is an illegal money and a casino having to hold back this money doesn’t make it any illegal. The money ought to be returned to the authorities of the gamblers state of origin.

At times there might not be follow ups on the return of these money but, the policy alone serves as a deterrent to those that might want to be involved in the practice of money laundering. Another policy that plays to this policy is that, you get to use 100% of the deposit in most cases to bet and on an odd that amounts to 1.1 at least. Some criminals still attempt it but, it does serve its purpose to some extent.
140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please, I urge you to buy bitcoin! on: May 10, 2024, 10:31:56 PM
^^^ With 8 billion people on Earth, that's (on average) 262500 satoshis per person. Plenty enough to do business with.

Cool

Sure  Cheesy... Wish that was how it worked, but some of us are greedy and won't stick with 262500 satashis. Anyways, bitcoin is experiencing a bull run. It may not be the perfect season to buy it but you can definitely still buy it if you've got the cash or you work for it.

Whatever you do, obtain it because, as OP said, it's  21 million pieces of freedom found in this century, the 21st century. Hmm... Not weird at all¿... What if both numbers have a connection huh?  Cheesy
I am just very surprised the ways many people keep telling others to keep buying Bitcoin when themselves do not have any Bitcoin holdings. This is where the word that said, "Words are easier said than done".  I will not be surprised if the people that keep writing buy Bitcoin would show us their crypto portfolio. At least that would be a little bit convincing that they are a genuine bitcoiner. It is important we understand what we want and how to go about it. It is not everybody that want to buy Bitcoin. Some would just write it or say it but they are not actually true holders. I am still waiting for the price of Bitcoin to skyrocket asap.
It’s not uncommon that users having to advise other users to buy Bitcoin is a common tongue. A lot of people lie about this often but, I think it would do the lier more harm than good. There isn’t anything wrong done to the buyer if they actually buy. It’s not a welcomed virtue to lie but even then, it’s got its place as you might end up motivating someone to buy and build a portfolio while you’ve got nothing.

First post on the forum, cant believe it took me so long. Hi everyone, hope all is well in Bitcoin land.

As for the topic of the post...I plan to do exactly that. No intention to spend or squander, these are for my children and my childrens children!
Oh, wow!
Well, I would advise you don’t just go with all that is said to you. Always ensure you do your own research alongside having to invest in Bitcoin. Proper research is what ensures your joy investing just to throw it away, do ensure you’ve got at least a basic idea of Bitcoin and what it entails.
