I got it working, but when I try to overclock, it crashes. Got the cards up to 730khs each, but I think I need more ram in order to OC more. Does that sound right?

Unless you watercool them, 730 could be too much

Three of my 7970's are running at 746,788,788 all on air and temps are 68,72 and 74. Mind you I have another 7970 that will not go over 550 no matter what.  For what is is worth my two 290x's run at 880 each and temps are in the high 70's on air. 6 cards spread out over 3 systems all in cases. Two with sides off, of those one has a small house fan pointed at it (ambient temp around 73c) the other is in the garage. Smiley My 290x's are also in a case with the side on it in my lounge, again ambient temps are around 73c.

what settings are you using and clocks i can run 1050/1766 to get 720 out of my 7970s or if i run 1170/1950 i get 830 out of one of my 7970s not the other it cant run that high both mine are under water tho.

Stats are back, and I think I liked them better when they weren't updating...

$10 over 8 hours at 4.2 mhs seems pretty low...

i think he was working on stats and they werent updating i noticed mine just updated and was paid out just in the last hour it seems.

Quick bit of advice  ... What version of GCMiner is recommended V3.5 or 3.7 ?

3.5 works alot better for me 3.7 i was getting a ton of getwork failures on my 5870 and 6950 not as many on the 7970.

I am still using 2.11.4 on my rigs, as I could not see any advantages in newer versions - it only get worse

hmm worth a shot but i remmber reading the newer ones have some improvemts to scrypt so thats why i was using them i been testing a litecoin fork cgminer also.

wish i could figure out why i get such bad getwork errors both the 5870 and 6950 are only running at 20-40% eff by cgwatcher but my 7970x2 runs at 98+ i played with alot of sittings none helped it seemed.  Right now running on the eu server and seems to be doing good let it run for a hr and see just makes no sence sence the 5870 is on same network as the 7970s that have no problems.

fixed my problem i think downgraded to cgminer 3.5 and removed the eu pool and now the 5870 and 6950 dont have so many getwork errors.

any more tips on how to get less getwork errors on my 5870 and 6950 the 5870 is on same network as my 7970s that get very few 20/1mbit and the 6950 is on a 20/1mbit alone.  Only pool i had this problem never had it on any other i used i even tried the eu server no getwork errors but very low shares per min.

Well got bored today so decided to write a little tool to help myself and figured I would post it here if anyone else wants to use it.

http://www.bfpcoin.com/middle-coin-web.php

Gets pricing info from MTGOX and I will be adding more in the near future.
Does multiple currency's for the value calculations.
This has been tested on Android and IPad and should work on other mobile devices.

Very nice, when do you expect other coins?

Thank you

If Middlecoin allows for other coins the BTC to be paid out in Ill set it up to do other coins. This just takes the data from Middlecoin and displays it out in a different format and does the calcs on what middlecoin says you have. I have other pools that I monitor as well and will be working on a similar tool for those. Again this was me sitting at home today relaxing and being bored and I have found a few minor issues with it and will be messing with it a little more in the next few hours.

As well as finding a new hosting platform seeing it seems a little slower then it should to load.

seems broke for me no matter the address it always brings up this one

PPS should not be used by any pool.
A person with 100GH/s can mine on the pool and withhold the blocks but still get paid almost all their expected earnings.
Currently (diff = 11,187,257.46136079) 100GH/s has an expected average of ~5.5days per block.
So they would lose only one share every ~5.5 days but the pool would lose 25BTC due to that - or ~4.5BTC a day - or currently > $450 a day.
i.e. anyone who dislikes the pool can mine PPS on it and help it to lose money by withholding blocks.
The bigger the miner's hash rate, the worse the affect on the pool and the less the affect on the miner.
I am mining PPS on 50BTC.com and eclipsemc.com they don't seem to have any problems with offering PPS if you want it. I would prefer to mine on ozcoin but I am small hash, so I want lower payout threshold and PPS as ozcoin often take a long time to find a block.

*YET* even btcguild is going to remove pps at some stage few months probly and rasied the fees on pps switched all getwork users to ppln.

Feature requests 0.01 min auto payout like most other pools.
Please reinstate PPS.

PPS wont be back for months if it does come back he still has to build up the coins to pay back the loans and make a good buffer for bad luck.  More pools will either raise the fee on PPS or remove it all together more then 1 pool has went under cause of bad luck with PPS.
