I'm not satisfied with name of my wallet (using Multibit).
Can I just rename wallet.dat file? Is the name connected somehow with private key?

Wallet already contain some btc, and I don't want to lose them by stupid way.

Just started, so I don't know yet.
Upline claims, he earn 10$-20$ each surf per month, but he has some refs and also he use PTC.
on the other hand  I will have surf active 24h a day, so hopefully I reach same amount.

few days ago I started PC dedicated to mining.

For few bucks I bought mobo with two PCIe slots and HD7790, I add my R9 270x from primary PC (now runs on integrated g.) and spent few hours setting things up. Tune both cards took me a while.
but finally, I  can proudly declare .. I did it. My microRig hits up to 700 KHs (scrypt) ... please applaud 

nevertheless, this is not my main idea.

Just thinking what else can be dedicated PC used for, and found some surfbars without captcha. Ideal for this kid of machine.
I installed them and so far there is no negative effect to mining.
Hope this can give me few USD or EUR to my paypal acc.

Anyone tried this already, any feedbacks?

since yesterday I have huge ratio of duplicate shares. it's almost at 50% for mining about two hours. But once, few minutes after restart it reach even 11/26  (accepted/rejected).
A didn't do anything with my settings and when I switch to other pool everything works just fine.

Anyone else having same issue? Or can explain me, what could be cause for this?
 
I'm new to mining, so I would appreciate any support

It's not secret. I mine with wafflepool ... the simplest way I found so far.
On my balance is mostly doge, litecoin and feathercoin.

have started yesterday and I'm like a madman. Checking balance every 10 minutes    happy for every single satoshi.

I'm also new to btc and so far I understand miners as bank accountants of btc world


simply put, they supervise all transactions, writing (hashing) them in to account book (blockchain) and for every complete sheet (block) they receive reward, currently 25 BTC + fee from every written (hashed) transaction

Hi to all,

I'm very new to bitcoin community, and willing to be part of it.

Few words to introduce me.
I'm from czech republic, working as controller in automotive industry, which gives me access to internet for whole day.
So I've tried some faucets, and get few satoshi and in beginning it seem to be good, but then I received small gift from friend of mine ( 0.01 btc ) and now all faucets looks useless to me.

So far I've setup my GPU to mine alt coins and selling them for BTC. By mining at 440 KHs I haven't earn much so far, but still better than faucets. My bottom line is to get 1 BTC. Hope I'll reach that within a year.

Now I'm going to read through forum, hope I find some tips, services etc.

looking forward to any hints for newbie in this stuff.
