121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP - The 2nd Biggest Scam in Digital Currency History on: December 30, 2020, 05:49:20 PM
Are you saying that it might be that my first dive into crypto is going never come up to surface?
I just bought XRP for 50EUR Cheesy
If all what you say it's true, I won't be sorry as I really think 50EUR as self training in crypto and trading it will worth!
I would have loved to buy BTC but not at today's price...

the mistakes you do you can accept as lessons in the future. it is like that sometimes in investing, we must be really prepared if this has happened. Plus nowadays many exchanges announce that XRP will be deleted like bittrex and make prices dump, you should immediately secure your funds before it's too late.
I think I just made my first earning! I just converted now the XRP I bought earlier today to USDT and I see about $1 profit...it's kinda funny as I have the feeling is pure gambling Smiley)
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP - The 2nd Biggest Scam in Digital Currency History on: December 30, 2020, 04:44:18 PM
I can convert it anytime in different crypto, I'm still in learning phase so it's not a regret having such purpose in mine.
My long term holding will be BTC once it'll drop at a convenient price.

The admin should make a difference for each case, here we talk about a new member (so no risk for any bad effect) and not a legendary/known user.
50BTC fee applied when 1BTC perhaps was $5 or less otherwise I would be surprised anyone would pay this nowadays Cheesy
126  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 TRADE YOUR BTC TO PAYPAL & FIAT CURRENCIES TO BTC HERE 🔥🔥🔥 on: December 29, 2020, 08:35:10 PM
Hi, I want to buy BTC as 50usd/eur I can pay via Paypal or Transferwise or any other payment that I can access from EU.
Offer valid only if you have better rates than Binance.
127  Other / Archival / Re: Change user name? on: December 29, 2020, 06:27:33 PM
funny Smiley
check with the admin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=35

as the guy implemented several extensions on this forum I'm pretty sure he can easily delete your user directly in the database
128  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchange rates: kraken vs. binance vs. p2p on: December 29, 2020, 06:18:51 PM
I think you're right, I mixed my calculations between adding funds and buying crypto directly, kraken has 3.75% + 0.25eur fee for buying BTC by card
129  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to become a trusted member? on: December 29, 2020, 02:39:29 PM
Wow, it's a valid lesson learned chapter just by checking his Trust details.
It looks like he could have planned a scam scheme, a meticulous smart criminal by act could have patience enough to do something like this anytime...
The sentence "trust nobody" can apply to anyone here but also in real life (you can consider it a lottery when you can think at relationships)
To touch a bit the background of this thread even if it's offtopic: from where do you buy BTC? Escrow? Website exchanges? Trusted members proven by what? amount of exchanges? Activity? Join date? Trust points?
130  Economy / Exchanges / Exchange rates: kraken vs. binance vs. p2p on: December 29, 2020, 10:41:26 AM
hi,
I see http://preev.com/ has different sources as input for the exchange rates, as far as I can see, kraken/bitstamp have better rates than binance or other p2p services including localbitcoin.

What's the catch?
If there is no catch but just a fact, why most of you recommend using binance for buying BTC?

thanks
131  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: have BTC need PAYPAL on: December 29, 2020, 08:26:37 AM
hi, I need only 50EUR/USD worth as BTC, I can go first, let me know if you agree
132  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [Exchange] PayPal/Skrill/Neteller BTC/LTC/ETH/ETC/PM/Payza/Webmoney/Payoneer on: December 29, 2020, 08:15:19 AM
I would like to buy 50USD/EUR as BTC, please let me know your fee and preferred payment method, I will go first since I'm new here so I can understand possible scam suspicion.
133  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the biggest issue for beginners ? on: December 28, 2020, 09:04:13 PM
So far two issues:
1. Search function on this forum sucks
2. Can't find yet any trusted member to sell few coins

My biggest earning so far is knowledge in bitcoin and cryptography
134  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to invest best $2,000-$5,000? on: December 28, 2020, 08:43:23 PM
This is my conclusion too, I also opened an ad for buying just $50 to play with trading, still my enthusiasm is fading out as I see people are more paranoid than me as nobody wants to sell.
I still don't understand the big difference from preev.com and binance actual exchange rate, I really hope my calculation about Binance /mining fees from the other thread I opened is correct otherwise the trading will be pure gambling for me.
135  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: I hate hardware wallet being made eye-catching. on: December 28, 2020, 05:19:23 PM
I would like to have a design like a digital picture frame: keep a slideshow with family pictures or single picture, use that display when doing crypto transactions Smiley
Sometimes the best hidden things are in plain sight Cheesy
136  Other / Off-topic / Anglers list on: December 28, 2020, 01:06:23 PM
hello,

I intend to build a list of those who share a common hobby: fishing, especially artificial lure fishing.
You can "subscribe" here by posting a small intro (optionally) about your targeted species.

The final goal is not to talk about fishing (we have plenty of dedicated forums for that) but to sell or buy fishing gear with crypto (best with BTC).

I don't know if you like the idea, however I'm giving it a try starting with myself:

btcb3g1nn3r - main species: catfish, trout, zander, pike, asp

I'll edit this post with those that are going to join the list.
Potential selling/buying ads shall be put in the Market section, based on this list we can figure out if our ads will reach someone or not...
I'm interested in buying mainly discontinued lures, reels, JDM gear.

cheers

hi, thanks, no offence but I will trade only with trusted members Sad
138  Economy / Currency exchange / [CLOSED] I would like to buy ~$50 as BTC, I can pay via PayPal or TransferWise on: December 27, 2020, 09:25:20 PM
Hi,

I need help to start my trading self-training with Binance.
I can opt for buying via bank transfer but I see they have not so good rates as on preev.com (I'm still learning what's the best place to buy BTC).

So, if there is any trusted member willing to help me please write here (no clue yet if my private messaging works).
As written in title, I would start with $50, I can pay via Paypal or TransferWise (if you have different proposal, just mention it and I'll see if it's available for me)
If I'll get no offer or better offer than on Binance till Dec 29th, I'll choose Binance, thereafter my ad will become obsolete.

thanks

140  Other / Beginners & Help / How to become a trusted member? on: December 27, 2020, 06:08:47 PM

After spending quite many hours learning the bitcoin mechanics either from youtube, blogs, or from this forum, now I consider it's the time to BUY some BTC (satoshi of course), still as training as its price is not that good for big investments like many would say.

I managed to gain trust from different freelancer sites by doing low bids to get max ratings afterwards, to continue off-site different tasks or to get easier new tasks from others thanks to my rating.
I also had very long constructive activity on different forums or IRC to get moderator role afterwards.
I got burned once after successful few good experiences in the beginning.
That was my experience in online, in real world I had to demonstrate competency in my daily job to advance in career, I was fair in my actions, never went in conflict with others so people trusted me with everything quite naturally I would say.

But, as many of you, I am reluctant working with someone that is new, has no reference, no reviews, nothing. Roll Eyes

The questions now, how long it takes and what are the tips&tricks you did in order to become a trusted member on this forum?
I assume most went through escrow when buying crypto, after how many such transactions you got the +1 as trust points?
Did any of you sell to non-trusted users without escrow? What was your selection criteria?
