121  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] 0.079 - Avalon Chips - Escrow by John K. (Europe / RO) + PCB on: May 10, 2013, 09:02:41 PM
2013-05-09:
- No "possibility" or "probability"!!!! This is it! I just had a discussion with a friend representing a local company. We will have ready PCBs to drop the chips in. We can make 20 / 40 / 80 chip devices (let's decide later exactly which ones) and we can make 16 / 32 chip devices based on the Klondike project. Also the prices would be extremely competitive, i'll give you that! The chips cost only 0.083 BTC which is one advantage. Second, you won't have to send the chips back and forth. We will have the PCBs ready to be assembled.
This is what I'm interested in. Let me know what your price ends up at!

I am also interested in this, as well as any DIY efforts, vs buying from companies.  Have an order in with Zefir, looking at more options to spread the hash around, keep us updated!

133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EasyLTC--The Easiest Litecoin GUIMiner! on: April 16, 2013, 05:01:39 AM
Downloaded your miner a couple days ago and was really liking it. However after the notroll.in fiasco I wanted to switch to another pool and haven't been able to get it to mine on any other pool. Is there anything I can change?

join up here, best pool around due to a great operator.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=48653.0

136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Error loading blkindex.dat on: March 09, 2013, 08:22:56 PM
I just had the same fatal DB error, went to copy the folder contents and the blkindex.dat would not copy over, said I/O error.  I downloaded the new 0.8.0, and ran it, receiving the same error. I then deleted the blkindex.dat and reran the installer, it re-indexed the blocks and finished downloading the remaining ones in 75 minutes.  My p2pool transactions were missing for a while, it found those as well.  Hope this helps someone.

cheers.
137  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bASIC not shipping / change of owership / refunds etc. on: January 20, 2013, 06:40:34 AM
I skipped all the speculative rambling that is so common on this forum, and would simply like to add some useful information. I emailed Dave January 13th asking for a CC refund for my purchase and received an email response from him on the 17th stating it has been refunded. Today, the money is back in my account.

I can also confirm my refund is in, for a request sent on January 8th.  This was for a purchase not in BTC,  good luck to all.

138  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Pay On Target: New High variance payout System Offered by Ozcoin on: December 26, 2012, 06:43:08 PM
Hey Guys.
So I decided to try out the new platform, been changing my difficulty around and such.  I did notice that cgminer is showing a best share of 9.1k vs ozcoins POT stats of 830.  Does the error in cgminer's 'best share' happen often, just one of those blips?  No rejected shares.

Thanks.

Hi do you have 2.10.3 version of cgminer? this version fixes the "wrong best share shown" bug Smiley

Hi Graet.
I was using  the 10.2,  your boys figured out the problem quickly, switching over to 10.3 today, Currently mining at 500 difficulty, around p2p difficulty, have been down, up, down, up.  I am used to huge variance with p2p and will keep mining until asic's show up.   Keep up the great work!

Thanks.

Had a look at the cgminer thread, seems to be some sort of best share bug.  Restarted cgminer to try and repeat the problem, had a false reading again. I am ignoring cgm.

Thanks.

This is why Ozcoin is best in class.
