Guys, if you haven't done so!

CoinPayments.net Voting NOW!

http://www.coinpayments.net/vote

What you need to do:

1. Go to the website.
2. Choose AsiaCoin and click Submit.
3. Fill out the form to get your own BTC deposit address.
4. Send 0.001 BTC - or equivalent in LTC/Doge - to that address (make sure to add a transaction fee to ensure it arrives within 4 hours!)
5. Confirm your email (click on the link sent to your email). They will send the confirmation email after your BTC transaction gets 6 confirmations. If you don't do this, your vote won't get confirmed.

Dear Community,

GoinGecko is a website that tracks developer activity, community presence and other factors to provide a ranking of the coins, and we are currently not ranked here. I dicussed the prospects of adding AC to GoinGecko with their developer and he added us to their to-add list.

We need you guys to send them an email asking AsiaCoin to be added:  hello@coingecko.com

The email doesn't need to be long, just a few lines of your own words explaining AC and why it's a great currency and why they should add it to their lists.

Thanks!

P.S. Don't forget to vote @CryptoPayments.net

Guys,

Buying votes, paying others to vote, voting with multiple IPs, ... are not allowed, so please do not discuss these matters on the thread as it could hurt the credibility of our votes and it could cause them to remove us. So let's not discuss these things on the thread.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC] AsiaCoin | Back on all Exchanges | Premine Voided | Multipool Ready on: May 17, 2014, 06:32:01 PM
Thanks to those who voted, don't forget to click on the confirmation link in your email, which will only be sent after 6 transaction confirmations. If you forget to do this, your vote will not count which is a shame.

Friends, it only costs 0.001 BTC and it goes to charity anyway, but it can add a lot of value to AsiaCoin. Please vote for us.

Thank you for your vote and for supporting The Water Project!
Your vote will be counted within a few minutes.

ok so we will have 2 votes now
when will the vote end?

No rush, it will remain open for two weeks. We all have time to vote (don't double vote though, they will check IPs and they don't accept Tor IPs).

I don't know, but in the past usually top 4 were added.

It won't get here by itself, we should bring it to the moon - this step is CoinPayments.

Dear Community

I want to emphasize on the importance of getting into CoinPayments.net as they are the leaders in providing payment options to stores and they already have a great user-base.

Note: This is a charity vote, and they will check our IPs, so they will probably ask us to fill a form, and then send BTC to our own specific address, should be in the region of 0.001 BTC, and only 1 vote per person (paying more doesn't count more votes), and voting again will replace the previous vote (you can't vote for two coins). Do NOT double vote, do not use services such as Tor.

Getting on CoinPayments can add great value to AC as we then will be able to use AC to purchase a large number of products, including gift cards for Amazon, iTunes, etc.

So be ready: Voting starts tomorrow May 17, at 12:00 EDT (noon @ New York time)

Hello all AC fanboys and fangirls Smiley we are now looking to push AC into the next level by making sure we get intregrated with Coinpayments, their votes starts tomorrow and please start mentioning to others on twitter about our goal.

https://www.coinpayments.net/vote

Also along with this wood wallets may be coming if we get more interests. Please help us reach our goals!!

+1. We will start voting Saturday, May 17th, at 12:00:00 EST (Noon). So, we will need the AsiaCoin community's support to make it possible to get on CoinPayments.

i was here 3/4 days  ==>  http://ac.pool.mn/index.php

and nothing works...  Huh i lost time and money .....

And now you close the pool

How to have confidence ?

" 11:00 AM (UTC) 18th of may 2014 - Pool will be deleted. Make sure to withdraw all the coins before this time as we will be deleting all the data for this pool! "

If you want to send me compensate

My AC wallet => AH4jEj1yLDtn3vY9C73czAtkaGRkEhL2RL
My user ID => 2699

 Undecided

We don't control the pool. We didn't close the pool. pool.mn has nothing to do with AsiaCoin Foundation. They offered to run an AC multipool, we agreed to promote it on our OP. Once they stopped replying to our emails about payouts, we stopped promoting it on our page.

I personally had my miners mining there for a couple of days and I didn't get a payout either. It's the same as any coin/pool, if you mine LTC and a pool doesn't pay out, it's about confidence in a pool, not in LTC developers. I would highly recommend people not to mine for any of the pool.mn's pools.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC] AsiaCoin | Back on all Exchanges | Premine Voided | Multipool Ready on: May 17, 2014, 09:42:11 AM
so we must have a good amount of AC wallets open for them to be staking faster than OC? or would it be that OC has too many confirmations on pos blocks which is slowing it right down?   I'm just learn'n still Wink lol total noob on tech side

You could say that. I don't know much about OC to comment on theirs, but generally higher PoS difficulty means more coins staking.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC] AsiaCoin | Back on all Exchanges | Premine Voided | Multipool Ready on: May 17, 2014, 09:00:58 AM
Not staking at all.. It's been just about 15 days, I'll wait a bit more.

One day since maturation?! I'd be surprised if you could stake a block in one day. PoS difficulty is really high now, so it's normal to have to wait a while to get stake a block (though doesn't matter in the end as your interest is paid for the time it takes to stake a block so if it takes 10 days, you get paid for all of it).

Our PoS difficulty: 0.00208328
BC PoS difficulty:  0.00024414

So AC is much harder for 51% PoS attack than BC?

Exactly. Much much harder. I can say AC is now the most secure pure PoS coin there is.

Cheesy I got nearly 100. minted ac today Cheesy in 2 mintings/blocks, didn't take as long as OC staking does... that takes all day for sure, how does it's pos difficulty compare with ac? (I'm not sure how to tell)  the dev of OC was saying that we just need more clients open to help speed up the network

OC's PoS difficulty is 0.00024642, only slightly higher than BC, significantly lower than AC.

coinmarketcap.com still not add our block explorer link
and Cryptsy disappeared in http://coinmarketcap.com/volume.html#ac

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll make contact.

I have made Linux binaries for both 32-bit and 64-bit machines. Here are links to them:

32-Bit Linux Wallet

64-Bit Linux Wallet

I think this should add to OP and the web site.
Still don't see it on there.

We're waiting for confirmation that they work flawlessly.

i think that AC could benefit from some sort of 'darksend' or at least implement some sort of anonymity to it??

similar to stable coin? or darkc?

If that is something the community is interested in, we can look into it but for now we're focusing on adding new features to wallet and our dedicated multipool.

Personally I wouldn't jump onto anonymity implementations (darksend or zerocoin) quickly as we haven't seen how it will be perceived outside the cryptocurrency world and specifically by the governments. It's not like a add it or die feature, really just observing from the sidelines for now.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Vertcoin | Scrypt N | Beat ASIC on: May 16, 2014, 03:05:28 PM
What's the main differences between VTC and EXE? They both use Scrypt-N. From what I read here, it appears that "community" is the big factor.
I also noticed that there are 2 different mining softwares being used. vertminer for VTC and exeminer for EXE.
Are they the same miner? Is there a generic mining software for Scrypt-N?
Ive had a very hard time trying to get my GPUs working for VTC and was wondering if it's the same for other Scrypt-N coins, or are the problems im having specific to vertcoin only?

EXE is basically a copy of VTC. It has lower block time (45 seconds vs 2.5 minute), block rewards halve earlier (437 days vs 4 years although both are at 840,000 blocks). EXE also has a faster schedule of n-factor progression. exeminer is a rebranding of vertminer. VTC has a much bigger community.

You can use generic softwares: sgminer (AMD) or cudaminer (for nvidia) to mine VTC. You need to manually give them the nfactor:11 though. There's a big VTC settings thread.
