I was waiting for a pump to happen but hadn't managed to get any in time.

I was looking to mining but that being regelated to ASIC only made it impossible and no way to purchase this coin directly in my country, more hassle than I thought.

Not the PC. It's well good enough. AMD Ryzen, 32GB RAM.

Using the Core wallet, it's just like none of the peers I get connected to share any of the blocks on the Dogecoin network.
And the week long wait for sync was thanks to 1 individual IP that connected about a week into my syncing before it was done in 2 days all thanks to that one peer giving a good download.
Would have taken much longer if that didn't happen.

Sadly I'm too late to the party, yet to have any of these Doge coins.

Why is synchronizing to network so unbearably slow for DOGE?

All other coins I've tested are so much faster to synchronize to network and download the blocks.
DOGE is in a category of it's own, unreliably slow to catchup.

My wallet took more than a week to get the blocks synced, even then if I forget to open the application daily it might take an hour or such to sync.

Yeah, been mining for fun while reading up about all the coins and alternatives.
I was just a bit disappointed the Faucet stopped working all of a sudden. I was using it to reimburse the "fees" for joining the pool.

Even if low user count it's still active.

It took it's time to connect but it did it in the end for me.

Seems like a coin with potential at this moment, only 1/3rd of the coins have been even mined yet.

This faucet stopped working a couple days ago, you press [Send] the page goes blank and nothing is received and if you retry, it says you have already been given coins. But you actually never do receive any.

This is a fun project to learn on how the whole crypto market works. Would be good if it's parts are maintained.

Is there any option to have the application ignore this check?

Like "--ignore-unwanted-modules" ?

Does the antivirus hook-in cause the miner to fail or something?

I don't see how that would be necessary to make this "unwanted" files search.

Any comments why you have this check in the first place? Possible to make it run anyway?
Feels a bit weird that you don't want a antivirus being present.
